Hi All,
I installed Hyperion 11.1.2.1 version. but i am getting error when i try to open work bench client as follows:
System Error &H80004023 (-2147467229). A Microsoft Software Installer error was encountered.

Windows Installer can really rain on your parade if it gets confused......
First thing, look in task manage for either msiexec.exe or msiinstaller.exe. If you see one of those and nothing is installing that you know of something has been hung up. You MIGHT be able to get away with killing the process and potentially rebooting.
Unfortunately, usually the system installer knows that it was in the middle of installing something and will not let you start off another installation until the current one finishes or is rolled-back.
Also, there is a windows service that should be running to allow for use of the Windows Installer Service.......

App-V 5: An error was encountered while trying to stop the monitoring session

Hello,
I have a problem with sequencing an application with the App-V 5 sequencer. During the moment that the sequencer is collecting system changes an dialog box appears with the message "An error was encountered while trying to stop the monitoring session.
Please check the event log for more details.". When I sequence the same application with App-V 4.6 SP2 sequencer I have no problems.
In the eventviewer (Microsoft-AppV-Sequencer/Admin) you can see the message "An attempt to stop the monitoring session failed (startIndex cannot be large than lenght of string. Parameter name: startIndex). Event Id: 5003
I have checked the background activities, but I couldn't find anything suspicious.

Is the only difference between the platform the sequencer is hosted on the version of the sequencer? have you tested on a vanilla deployment of Windows?

Audition CS6 - "An error was encountered: Not enough memory to perform operation"

When I try to export my entire session using the "Multitrack Mixdown" I get this error message: "An error was encountered: Not enough memory to perform operation"
To give context:
• Audition CS6
• All other applications are closed
• 26 audio tracks
• Approx. 22 seconds long in total
• Average of 2 effects per track
• I've reinstalled the program twice now
My computer:
• iMac (2010)
• 3.4GHz Intel Core i7
• 16 GB 1333 MHz DDr3
• Flash and HDD storage (which are not full)
• OSX 10.8.2
If anyone can offer any advice, that would be great!
I have to get this done by this Monday (May 6, 2013).
So I really hope Audition won't fail me, since it has always been successul until now (which is why I'm stumped).

'Not enough memory' hasn't got anything to do with your HD, but the amount of RAM available to Audition at the time it needs it. All DAWs, to work efficiently and successfully, need most of the machine to be free from running other apps. The reason for this is simple; If another app trys to hog a machine that's running a process in real time, it inevitably hiccups the machine. And if this other app has reserved RAM addresses for its own use, they aren't available until it's stopped.
Typical nasties involve anti-virus software, and the machine doing things like repeatedly polling a wireless connection, but there are plenty more, and this applies equally to Macs and PCs.
So the 'update' you need to rectify most of these problems is one you have to carry out yourself. Audio editing is a bit of an oddball from this POV - you invariably need a very lightly loaded machine for it to be reliably successful. The machine I use as a DAW doesn't do anything else at all; all unnecessary services are stopped whilst it's in this mode, and the physical spec of it is similar to yours - except it's a PC running W7-64Pro.

Error message while opening a project: "an error was encountered while loading the image"

We've run into a new error message here today:
an error was encountered while loading the image
It appears when we try to load a recorded project. It occurs on both the cp-file and the backup file.
It's on a windows 7-machine.
Anyone encountered it and knows what it means?
is the project lost forever?

Hmmm, it may be related to Windows 7, but let's check the obvious stuff first.
Where exactly is th project if you locate it using Windows Explorer? Is it found on your local C drive or is it found on a network drive?
If it's on a network drive, please note that Captivate has never worked well with projects being edited while they are on network resources. So the first step in this case (assuming that's where the project is) would be to move the project file off the network and onto the local C drive. Then try opening again.
Assuming the project isn't on a network, all still may not be lost. The next thing to try would be to create a new blank project sized identically to the one that seems to have gone south. Then click File > Import > Slides/Objects and see if you can import the content from the errant project into the new.
And if those steps fail, it's likely time to restart from scratch. But depending on what you have done so far and how you have done it, you might be able to salvage some of it by playing back the content (assuming you have published it during testing) and record what you are playing back with Captivate.
Best of luck to you in sorting things. You should also consider filing a Bug Report.

Adobe reader iOS app error "A system error was encountered."

Hello everyone,
I am using Adobe Reader app for my iOS device. The app is throwing an error "A system error was encountered." whenever I highlight any word/sentences in the pdf file and the pdf file closes automatically and all the highlights/strikeouts/annotations are lost. This usually happens when I try to switch in between the apps (multitasking). The same thing is happening on both the devices (iPad and iPhone).

An Error was encountered while retrieving page content

I have a user that is having an issue when trying to add a header & footer and is receiving "an error was encountered while retieving page content" error. Our firm has acrobat 9.0 pro on windows xp. The file is located on a network share and even if i copy this file to my desktop it gives me this error. Let me know if you guys need more information.

Checking the network share is always a good starting point. Acrobat has had problems with some of these over the years. I would generally recommend working locally. However, that does not appear to be the current problem. Since you mentioned AA9.0, my first recommendation is to update AA which is currently at 9.4.4 version. That may solve the problem, partiuclarly if you are using 9.0. The updates may be done from the help menu (you will likely see several. The should always be installed in order). The help menu links generally give you cummulative updates. You can also download them from Adobe.com>downloads and select the updates in the right field near the top. You can then search for the Acrobat Windows updates. You have to generally install ALL of them that are listed in order. They generally are not cummulative. I am guessing the updates may fix the problem.

It seems to be problem with your changed password of SSO/portal schema.
Could you be able to connect OEM.

select your portal instance.
In bottom you can find the "Configure schema" link.
Change ur portal schema password over tre.
Imp :
Go back and click HTTP server --> PL/SQL Properties --> mod_plsql services --> DAD status --> Portal
Edit DAD: Database Connection --> Apply the same password u applied for portal schema
AT last restart ur HTTP server and try connecting to portal.

Regular data plan will not work, ask Airtel if it's a BIS plan.

An error was encountered while processing images

Huge document, full of pictures and graphics. Created in Word for Mac 2011. Saved as pdf it's 38M.
When I try to reduce the size, I get an error, "An error was encountered while processing images".
No other info. Any clues?

It would help to know what version of Acrobat. However, the better way is to probably work with the WORD file first. You might want to work on a copy so that you don't mess up the original. If you select a graphic in WORD, go to the format tab and select Compress Pictures. You might select the options and use 150 ppi or the 220. Many people use graphics with dpi in the thousands that the human eye can not see. You might also consider reducing the color depth from millions to 256 colors, or even 16 colors if a simple line drawing or such (this would probably have to be done to the graphic itself). If you uncheck the button to apply to the selected item, then the change will be applied to all figures (other than the color depth that can not be done this way).
Another item that makes a PDF huge are tags. Tags are good for accessibility or going back to WORD (not a good idea in general), but take a lot of space. For the smallest reasonable PDF print to the Adobe PDF printer (this will not create tags or bookmarks) with at least the Standard settings (not embedding fonts is typically a bad idea -- though you might want to be careful about using lots of different fonts in your DOC file). If you use PDF Maker (the Acrobat tab in WORD), you can set the preferences about tags and the level of bookmarking in the PDF. All of this can help in creating a reasonable size PDF. For such a large PDF, the print root might be best. If you are careful, there should be no need for 38M.

I frequently get this error while I initially open a connection and click on a table:

I cannot see the columns information and have to refresh. After this error, if I switch to Data tab from the default Columns tab, I usually get another error that says:
Connection is currently busy. Try again?
[Try Again] [Abort]
I never had these errors using Toad for Oracle tool.
My environment:
Windows 7 64-bit with 16G RAM
Oracle Database 11g R2

Vendor code 17027Searching the forum for that issue only yields hits for prior SQL Developer releases. Be aware that the release shipped with DB 11g is rather out-of-date so, if you haven't already downloaded and installed the latest release (3.2.20.09.87), I would recommend upgrading. Easiest is to select the 32-bit version with JDK included.

I did some digging around metalink and the oracle forums and I was advised to check the following settings:
In the Oracle Enterprise Manager – Middleware – HTTP Server – Administration tab – PLSQL properties – DAD descriptor
I have the following values for the attributes:
Username: portal
Password: xxxxxxx
Connection String: cn=portal,cn=Users,dc=oracle,dc=cyse
Connection String Format: NetServiceNameFormat(SQL*Net entry)
NLS Language: AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8
Default Home: portal.home
I would appreciate it if somene could check and see which attribute values do you have on a running Oracle Portal Application. Specifically I am interested on the username and the connection string attributes.

It seems that when I check in the Oracle Identity Management Console, that the PUBLIC user is missing.
Can anyone please let me know if that could be linked with my problem, or if the PUBLIC user is essencial for the portal?
