A network tutorial please

Hello guys
my cousin and me bought 2 books of j2me (oreilly and manning), well we learn make gui, forms, actions etc, but about of the chapter of network, well i see that is simple, inclusive the examples dont work according with the books to 100%(use midp 1.0 and only a request and response examples about http)
well the question is this,
where i can download an excelent or nice tutorial related with this in special, (networks)
one:
ie: with my j2me(cellphone) go to a server (tomcat preference) to make some operations, shooping cart, check info of db,etc
or a recommend book of your experience (i dont know if exist special books about j2me and networks that teach this topic more deeply)
two:
i want control a PLC with java , so my cellphone will be my client, the tomcat the server, and of course the plc the final tool :p
my problem is between j2me and tomcat,
if a engineering or other professional have some experience with this, please help me
in others words, examples and tutorials about of commnucation client/server tomcat and j2me

When I open “airport utility,”on my iMac it tells me this version doesn’t support my base station & says go to “Airport Service & Support.” That’s what got me here.
My earlier MacBook runs OS 10.6.8. Its version of Airport Utility works. Its Airport ID has 17 characters, & uses the same password to access the internet, but it also has a “wireless password” of 26 characters, but only shows me the dots. i haven’t the foggiest notion what the characters are, if I put them in there years ago when i did the original configuration, or if they got there otherwise..
I’m afraid of changing those settings for fear that I’l mess up the whole thing.

i switched off all the security settings and all the firewalls.
i m unable to install any of the app on the ipad
so i saw the apple support and it said to update the older version of my ipad.
and niether am i able to download the update nor am i able to download any app and install it in my ipad2
i also tried to download an .ipsw file (ios5 update) from torrentz bt i am also unable to install from that as itunes rjects that file and gives an error. and also tries to delete that file. plz anyone help urgently.

Both parties must be connected to wifi to use FaceTime (and you must have FaceTime turned on in Settings>Facetime). If you're phone shows 3G at the top when it's on, you're not connect to wifi; you'll have to solve that problem first.

Hi,
For the few days i have had problems trying to sign in to OVI Store. I enter my user name and password and after a minute or so the message "Network Error - Please Try Again Later". I don't have any problems browsing OVI Store but obviousily i cannot download any apps. as i can't sign in. I have tried using both my WI-FI y network provider and neither works. After that i updated OVI Store to the newest version but its exactly the same. Any ideas anyone?

I have ARD installed on Client 1 and Client 3 (different locations where I'm at) and I need to manage Client 5 and 6 (and the others, but that amounts to the same problem). Since there are multiple computers behind the NAT, I cannot just patch a port through. I want a secure solution as the traffic goes via the internet.
I have been thinking about letting the users of Client 5 and 6 set up a VPN link to the NAT Router of Client 1 when they need assistance, but when I want to manage this from Client 3, all traffic goes over two VPNs, let alone if the router at Client 1 can manage this in a stable way.
Probably, two assignments in the router of client 5 & 6 would be nice, but can I tell ARD to use different ports for certain machines?

Network Error, Please Check The Network!

"Network Error, Please Check The Network!" - I get this error message on the bottom of my screen at least a few times a day when all of my service drops, not just data. I've seen my service go from full 4G coverage one second to absolutely nothing the next, without moving and outside. Sometimes it comes back after a minute or two, other times I have to shut the phone off and pull the battery. I thought it may have been the SIM card but I had that replaced and nothing has changed. I've seen other people describing similar things happening to them as well. I've brought it in 2 times in the last 2 weeks because it was getting unbearable and both times none of the reps could explain why this is happening. I'm wondering if I have a bad device or if this is a widespread issue, and if anyone had this issue and found a fix for it.

I was having this problem as well. Tried hard reset, Verizon messed with phone remotely, etc...Ended up sending me a replacement phone. You may have to go through the steps and let the problem not be fixed, but I would call the 800 number from a land line and get the ball rolling. Mine was also doing weird things like freezing up when I tried to make a call. It would never make it to the screen with the dialer. It would just freeze up and go to the home screen. It ran slow and lagged real bad as if it was deciding if it wanted to work or not. Regardless, Verizon was great and when the usual steps could not fix it they replaced it. Mine is a droid razr (original).

I also have a new iPad and am having the same problem. I have tried all the apple troubleshooting tips and changing the DNS server, as well as setting up a new Apple ID. I already had an ID and it has worked for a year with my iPod. It works on the iPad with apps but not with Facetime or iMessage. Power Spike Threw My Network? PLEASE HELP!!!

Tuesday night we had a power spike that seems to have killed my network. I wanted to know has this happened tpo anyone else and if so how did you fix it. My problem is this,my ISP is Mediacom, I have a 10 MB connection, a Linksys WRT54GS V7 firmware 7.50.2 and I cannot get anything to connect to my wireless network. My pc that is wired into my router is fine. Getting good connection. I also have a Playstation 3 that connects wireless, Xbox 360 that connects wireless through a Linksys WGA54G, a pc that connects trough a Belkin wireless desktop card, and a Nintendo Wii that also connects wireless. Now Tuesday during the day everything was connected and fine. Wednesday I woke up to find that everything on my network had reset themselves and would no longer connect to the existing network. So I tried to reset everything on a new network. I couldn't get anything to connect. I replaced my router with the same model number and upgraded the firmware to v7.50.2. I called Mediacom and they reset my internet connection saying that my "modem was getting too many signals form my electronics and not my router"(?). Everything came up fine only to go down after about 5 mins (right after I tried to connect my PS3). Afterwards I called Mediacom back had them reset my connection and only tried my pc. It would connect but it would say little or no connectivity. Called Linksys support and a nice lady named Marie told me to change my from TKIP to AES change my channel to 11 and so forth and so on. It worked for about 5 mins and went down again. I called them back and again they changed my channel and lower my MTU. This time it would work but it was incredibly slow. Now I have no idea what to do and am quickly coming to my wit's end. Please help.

I dunno dude. This is killing me. Mediacom won't help me because they don't support in home networks. I have never had a problem before now. I had the original router for almost a year. Power spikes are quite common throughout this area and it was always fine. Now all of a sudden I have this. I dunno what to do. I need all the help that I can get. I have never had a problem with any of my Linksys products. Just run the CD and plug in everything and I'm online. Simple. Lately I have seen more of my admin screen than I had ever hoped to.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
