Do you hear music from all channels when you only change from DDL to analog output while playing music?
The only way i can get sound out of all channels is to send regular 2 channel pcm and set my reciever to 6ch stereo mode. If i turn on? DDL i get the DD light on my reciever but i only get sound out of the front channels. Enabling/disabling cmss changes nothing, changing speaker config in windows or creative make no change either.
Not sure if you changed the CMSS settings.With the usual setting you might not notice any mapping to the rear channels. Try changing the slider of CMSS to surround from middle or front (depends if you either used stereo xpand or stereo surround).

Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the PC as a new library. On pressing retry I got the same message.
On pressing Ignore, I got the message “ITunes was not installed correctly, please reinstall ITunes – Error 7 – (windows error 126)
I reinstalled with the same error messages and the same results.
I uninstalled existing and reinstalled from scratch and the same error messages again.
I try to repair and at the end it said it had installed correctly – but when it tried to start I got the message “This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem” I now get the same message when I first start the computer but when I press ok I receive ““ITunes was not installed correctly; please reinstall ITunes – Error 7 – (windows error 126)” again.
It appears the update has not only corrupted the operating system (Xp Pro SP3) of my computer but I have no backups to my IPhone, my wife’s IPhone or the three others phones that use my computer.
I hope you can advise me how to recover my backups

Your iCoud account remains in iCloud even if your device is restored. (In fact, you can't delete an iCloud account from iCloud, you can only choose to stop using it.) If the device is restored, or it may no longer be signed into your iCloud account but your account will still exist in iCloud.

My new computer is authorized and home sharing is turned on for both computers, but the Shared section is no longer showing up on either computer. What do I do now?

I am not sure how to view the Shared section on either computer. It says the new computer will open it once it finds my other computer, or something like that, and I do not know why it is not finding it. Basically, I do not know what to do at this point.

If you have the horizontal menu bar showing (File, Edit, View,...), select View, then select Show Sidebar.
If the menu bar is not showing, dorp down the menu in the very upper left corner and select show menu bar, then follow steps above.

iTunes has to contact Apple during the sync process, but iTunes can only sync the phone, if you can launch iTunes, which seems not to be the case, as "...the required software is not installed.."
And, even if I have reached level 6, please remember, that not everybody is used to phrases like "d/l" or "w/pcs", especially if your post can have more than 160 letters

When I open a new tab and click on a new link it open an entire new browser page. This started today with an update i just received.

I had that problem myself and was forced to download the installer for "other browsers" using Internet Explorer at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ . After I did that it installed correctly. You can also try downloading the FULL installers for flash at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html . Just make sure that all browser windows are closed before you run either of these.

Kristen, is the "loading" sign a bar which moves( or should move) across the home screen? Also, have you "activated" it, either via iCloud or iTunes?

New version of itunes wont download to my pc it keeps saying i have an invalid signature and stops the download. How can i fix this?

That one suggests the installer has gotten damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

I got the new 8.0 version of firefox today and now when I put a new URL in an open tab or type a URL in a new tab, NOTHING HAPPENS!! HELP!!!!!

Since I installed the 8.0 Firefox version earlier today I have been unable to get to new Web pages by typing in their URLs. If I click on a link in a tab which was open before the install ( and was called up by Restore Session after I installed the new version) - say in one of my email messages in the Hotmail tab or a tab with another Web page showing - all is well and I go to the new page. Same if I click on the Back arrow: I can go back and forward to pages which have already been opened in the prior session.
However, if I type a URL to a new site into the address/location bar, OR open a new tab and enter a URL there ... when I press the Enter key NOTHING AT ALL happens. Same thing if I click on the Go to new address arrow that appears at the right side of the location bar - nothing. This has happened over and over.
What is going on? If I use IE, everything works just fine, so it must be something in Firefox. Do I need to just go back the the previous version of Firefox which I had before this latest update? As it is now, I can't go to any pages I haven't looked at in my restored session, which is not only frustrating but makes Firefox pretty useless for future use. Or, if it's some other problem, any ideas on what and how to fix it? Thanks.
