A new set of problems on day two
Happy sunday everyone,
or maybe not so happy ! Finaly yesterday I was doing fine with my second install of leopard the archive and install method. Went to bed with computer off got up turned on computer and a grey screen with a flashing folder stayed there.
Apple tried a few things first all failed so they suggested a " archive and install". Third time for me that is getting annoying. Plus I will probably loose a few things as I did in the first archive. Migration was not a resounding success.
I hope that others are doing better, I just needed to vent a little frustation.

Mine crashed in iTunes last night and I've been getting thick diagonal lines across the screen when using iWeb. My system was already plauged by the "1.1 crashes" and I fear Leopard doesn't fix the ATI problem so many others have been experiencing.

I bought new i phone 5 3 days back, after that asked for new update which is 6.1.4, after updating my iphone i am not able to use cellular data services. I called up data provider, they says its the problem with new software update. There is no option add APN. Now when i switch to safari its showing you are not subscribed for cellular data. But I am able to use data on other phone.
Will you please help me in this regard?

Brand new iPad 3 out of the box - set up problem. It says my Apple ID (email address) is already being used. I reset the password successfully but still says I need another Apple ID. Why won't the ID recornize me?
Open current iTunes on your computer. Connect iPhone to the computer with the Lightning USB Cable. Hold both the Home and Power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes the iPhone in Recovery Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes. If still problem, make Genius reservation or set up Sevice and take or send to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

PreparedStatement set date sometimes sets the date one day behind
I have a PreparedStatement that sometimes sets the date a day behind. I am saving to a MSSQL DB with a field datetime. I have two identical PreparedStatments, one for insert and one for update. When either is executed, it will sometimes set the date back one day. It's not everytime. Every other or every third one, but it's not consistent. Any help would be appreciated.

</x:xmpmeta>I’m pretty sure Adobe NEVER intended for someone to copy an XMP file from one photo to another outside of LR as a way to replicate settings. You can make a preset from a photo, as discussed, or if you don’t want to do that, copy-paste the settings from a representative photo that you initially select to one or more new photos. You could have a special LR folder that holds standard photos to copy/paste from. Of course creating a Develop preset from the representative photo is the “normal” way to handle such situations, but maybe you have hundreds of different situations to copy settings from and don’t want to create presets for each one, but I’d argue that you could create a complex folder hierarchy for your presets and still have them findable without that much problem.
As far as the mystery about why some photos show Reset and some show From Metadata, is the Process Version (down in Camera Calibration) of the photo before reading the settings the same between the two situations? And in general, are these virgin photos newly imported into LR or have some been modified in LR, already? Does an XMP file already exist for any of these, where that XMP is being overwritten by your external-to-LR copying? Or do you have auto-write-XMP enabled and your hand-copied XMP is getting overwritten by LR, automatically, before you have a chance to read in anything? -

I have a document that consists of pages that are 5.5x8.5, in other words half of a standard 8.5x11 sheet of paper. I want to be able to print these two up on 8.5x11 sheet of paper. So in the layout section of the print dialog I set pages per sheet to two. The problem is that when it prints each page is smaller than it should be, it seems like it's padding the pages with white space and making them smaller. Is there a way to get around this?

I have read the User Manual up and down, I have scoured the support pages, and I have spent untold fruitless hours with technical support... am currently still unable to solve this problem.
When using a Pages template, I am unable to change page size while holding the formatting together. No way to select all and group it - no way to start a blank document with the proper page size and then insert a (template) page, no way to change paper once the template is open....
I have a template from Pages (doesn't matter... pick any one at all that has formatting and objects, not straight text) which opens with a default page setup of paper size A4. Fine. In printer settings, "Choose Layout from the pop-up menu and choose the number of pages you want to appear on each sheet" (page 173, Chapter 10) which makes perfect sense to me.
I am trying to achieve two pages per sheet for a "tabloid" type publication. I wish to print on A3 - which should work perfectly - the page size in the end result (2 per sheet) is in fact A4, because A3 is two A4s laid side by side. So, this is as the formatting intended it should be, because smaller is too small and larger wouldn't work.
When I print I get:
a) the proper layout, but with the size being HALF an A4 instead of a full A4 (half an A3)
b) the right size (when changed in page setup) with formatting all over the map and all the work destroyed.
It is easy enough to say "Before you print, you should make sure the paper size and orientation are set the way you want by opening the Page Setup dialog" (page 169 Chapter 10) but these Pages templates are not able to be printed on ANY size of paper except A4 - the way they have been laid out originally. It doesn't matter which size you're trying to print - an invitation on smaller paper perhaps, a tabloid type newsletter on larger, anything at all on banner paper...
There has to be a fix for this somewhere.

one thing that needs fixing is the fact that each time the createRecord() method is called I'm creating a new fieldMap to define the dataFields in the record class.Probably, but that will only get you a little bigger files; you won't gain an order of magnitude on the size of files. The problem for huge files is that as soon as their content is bigger than the available memory, you'll run into problems. A more radical approach if you need to address huge files is to process the records on the fly, and not load all records in memory. Of course not all algorithms or business logic can afford that...
I know I could rewrite the code and create a class for each record type and declare the fieldMap static but I was wondering if anyone had any better suggestions The Record instance could receive and keep a reference to its RecordType instance, and ask the RecordType instance the DataType for a field's name. That way the RecordType encapsulates the map, and there's less risk that a clumsy other class modifies the static map.

I find that after updating my ipad to ios8 banking applications to deposit funds no longer work. The camera image rotates from horizontal to vertical and cannot be corrected. Is this a new ios8 error. I tried two different bank applications for ipad.

unfortunately that fix for my camera Powershot G6 does not work or apply as the view pictures switch is different on G6 is not usable during download as once you plug in DC/USB cable it turns off, and makes no diff and problem still exists exactly as you just described.

it has been 17 days since apple promised to get back to me within 3-5 days hopefully with a solution, but I have still not heard from them.
They blew me off, i guess, probably i will have to wait for new Yosemite OS update, which they pre-warned me could take as much as 6 months.
I cannot believe apple released this new update with such major bug issues for camera downloads and that horrible "Photos" pgm which has all sorts of downgrades in features, usefulness and new bugs compared to iPhotos which I just finally got used to and was much better software.
I am starting to lose faith in Apple and I am getting that Microsoft "FEEL" like I used to have when I was a PC user, which was why I originally switched to Apple computers in first place.
Oh well got my fingers crossed here.
Thankfully the memory card reader solution is working well, but cost me $45. -
Berry 9360 - new and big problems...

I recently got my new blackberry 9360, very excited about my new phone, only to find numerous problems with it.. I set up email, social networks, bbm and tried some new stuff, but a few days ago the phone was heating up after charging. I took it back o the service provider and the manager reset the lighting and the network to 2GB, but still found that the phone was getting really hot after charging it. Also every time I updated the profile picture on bbm nobody else could see it... Has anyone else experienced these problems?no problem! glad you're up and running again.

E6 new Firmware critical problem

After 3-4 days of upgrading to latest firmware(for E6)..the screen goes blank/locked while dialling or attending calls, even during the alarm too, screen goes dead.
honestly, i sensed the problem while switching off my alarm but touch-screen didn't respond well & later experienced the screen went blank/locked/unresponsive(till u cancel/end ur call) for dialling & attending calls too.
my phone is @ Nokia care since monday, they promised me to return in 1 hour & now its more than 4days, & now they escalated the issue to L3 support vch may take another 10days.
Anybody having idea. I request NOKIA moderator to plz look into d issue@ d earliest.

I too was confronted with this problem on my E6. I upgraded to Belle refresh and from that moment, whenever I receive a call, make a call, or when the alarm(clock) signals, the display goes black
When receiving a call, Very, very briefly (maybe as short as two-tenth of a second) I see the caller info in a flash before the screen goes to black (so I can not really read it)
After the call (or - in case of an alarm sounding - after stopping the alarm, the display is illuminated again
Also, in my situation, no protective foil is covering the proximity sensor nor something else is obstructing it
It happened directly after the update, before it everything was fine which makes me convinced that it can not be a hardware failure
This assumption is backup up by what I have read on the web:
the module in the E6 that is detecting the proximity (as well as performing the ambient light detection) is called "DiPro" and uses an external Infrared-LED. The current flowing through this LED (which off course determines the amount of IR-light and therefore the sensitivity of the proximity measurement as a whole) is software controlled
This (to me) is a very plausible explanation that there is something wrong with the software indeed
Why this fault does not appear on all E6-phones I don't know, but I assume that the combination of the Belle[refresh] software (incorporating the assumable altered steering of the DiPro-module) in combination with certain hardware versions of the E6 is a conflictuous one
It's pretty bizar that Nokia has not supported up til now although a software update is clearly the basis of the problems

Hi all,
I have a water damage iPhone 5s was bring to service center to have new set change with top up the money. Well, the staff were told me that the phone can't be change due to some of minor parts are missing in the phone. He said this is due to company policy. I would like to check is that nothing can do with this missing minor parts? I really doubt the policy of the Apple as I was told as long as you bring to the service center, they will assists. As Apple is a well known brand top of the world, but the servicing is really make me so disappointed! I really doubt should I still continue to support the Apple product with helpless service!
Would like to take this opportunity to seek the professional advise in order to get my phone change back.

Thanks.Well, your service is handled by an Authorized Apple Service Center. If they refuse to handle the claim, that is well within their rights. Apple as well could void a claim under the same circumstances. I'm not saying that you did or did not modify the device, but you could try and talk to a supervisor there and make another request. When I right click on a link "Open link in new tab" since a few days, it "jumps over" the tab to the right and opens in the tab next to that. How can I change this back to opening in the tab next to the page from which I opened as it used to be?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

i use time machine to back up my imac onto an external 2T.
i also have two external 3T drives. i am looking for redundancy of data, tried software RAID and it failed. i also see some limitations with RAID that a backup would avoid.

tonyso thanks to all of you, particularly rkaufmann87 i have decided to stop the plan of setting up a software RAID set. instead i have downloaded ccc and am in the process of setting up the secone 3t external drive as a clone. i will use time machine to back up the internal hard drive only and if possible see if i can clone that as well onto one of the 3t's.
this gives me the peace of mind i sounght and avoids the problem of total corruption that exists with the raid solution i was exploring.

Set type problem in sales order integrated into loyalty management

I try to implement the sales order integrated into loyalty management. As notes said, I should use the set type REWARD_PRO_LOY to assign to a hierarchy for loyalty. But when I use this set type in hierarchy, I found I can only assign it when I choose "service" for product type. Then I find in the "REWARD_PRO_LOY" set type, there is a switch tab. In the tab, there is only "services". I don't understand this tab means. I want to assign this set type to "materials" type. I tried to created a new set type with the same attributes, but it seemed not to work. Is anybody can give me some advice to solve the problem?

If you refer to your first screen print, its very evident that the product types with which products be created using this set type includes both "Materials" and Services".
We have created similar scenario and were able to create products with product type "Materials".
Pease let me know if you have any issues while creating products with product type "Materials".
