Don't know what "notification from iCloud" you mean and doubt it has to do with your "block," but try a reset by holding the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

On your phone, go to Settings>Music. Turn "Show All Music" off.

My notes disappeared for some reason. How do I restore from iCloud? Went into backup but couldn't find an option for restoring! Help?
The backup will first restore you app data and other settings, it will then restart and restore your camera roll photos, apps and other purchased media.
If you're concerned about losing purchased media you can always transfer them to your iTunes librarry first. To do this, make sure your computer is authorized for all Apple IDs used to purchase your media (in iTunes: Store>Authorize This Computer). Then connect your phone and in iTunes go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. This way, should anything go missing you can always sync it back from iTunes.
iCloud should maintain your last three backups. You will be asked to choose which backup to restore to after choosing to restore to iCloud backup and signing into your iCloud account during the setup screens. -

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. -
How do i change the background on the top? it now has a bunch of planets and I can't read anything
There's a background at the top that looks like a bunch of planets all orange and black and it makes it hard to see the toolbard selections etc. I would like it to be a solid color, like white or gray.

You can't merge accounts to get a merged restore. Where was the last backup made on the old phone? Use that backup for a restore.

Define "crash?" What do you see happen on screen? Is there a four language screen saying you must restart your machine? Do you just see a spinning cursor that is rainbow colored? Have you tried the command-option-escape if it is the spinning cursor to see if you can force quit the application? Do you see text with black background come across your screen? Or do you just see applications quit on their own and it says: "this application has unexpectedly quit, other applications are not affected, report to Apple?" -

No app on the iPod is required.

Since an iPhone 3G cannot be updated past iOS 4.2.1...the end of the line for that model iPhone...you can't do what you want, so there's nothing to be fearful of.

i have upgrade my iphone 4 to ios 6 and from this moment every day my iphone go to block. it turn off and i can't turn on if i don't connect to charge connectors.. someone have the same problem? how can i solve it?
I am experience a similar problem, my iphone 4 either turns off by itself or I am unable to answer a call. Everything just blocks. After contacting 2 different apple service spots still no answer as to how can we fix the problem. Worse, I am unable to revert back to ios 5.1.1 where everything worked just fine.

My camera roll will not restore from iCloud after updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 6. It shows I have 1.7 gigs of photos stored on camera roll but none are appearing on my phone. Everything else restored from iCloud. When I go to iCloud.com my photostream is not there.
A response I put together from another post. Also going into iTunes and choosing to sync phone to iCloud then back "this computer" sometimes works.
First thing.. Stop where you are. Don't try to sync, update, hard reset, iCloud... Just stop.
Check on your phone under 'SETTINGS' 'GENERAL' USAGE'. It should show some value for PHOTOSTREAM. Also, connect to iTunes and you will notice at the bottom of your phones summary page that there is a large amount of 'OTHER' data.
I used third party software called iExplorer (formerly iPhone explorer). In this program you select 'MEDIA FOLDER', then 'DCIM'. In the various apple folders (IE: 101APPLE) you should be able to preview your photos and copy them to your desktop.
From there sync them back to your device through iTunes or whatever method you use.
There is a simpler solution I'm sure, which may involve using iExplorer to delete some .plist files then restart the phone and let it rebuild. I'm going to try it myself AFTER I've finished copying all the photos to my MAC
