A one inch set of lines just appeared on the screen of my IPAD original.

Does anyone know how to get rid of these lines?

If something like a reset doesn't clear it then you may need to contact Apple : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • My iphone5 camera has an intermittent fault where pink lines suddenly appear across the screen. This is captured on the photo. Any advice?

My camera intermittently has pink lines over the screen which transmits into the photo.

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.  If you've been through ALL these recommended steps and the problem persists, bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

  • I have a one inch diameter flickering line down center of screen.

I have a one inch wide flickering line down the center of my screen. Can this be fixed at home? My computer is just 4 yrs old and I cannot afford to buy a new one. I love my mac.

It's very likely a problem with the LCD.  You can decide if you want to fix it or not.  I wouldn't suggest trying to repair it yourself as it's challenging to replace an LCD on the iMac.
Your best bet is to find a local authorized repair facility, call around and see if any provide onsite service. It probably will be at least several hundred dollars to fix.
You can find local AASPs by going to: http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/service/

  • How do I get iCal to print the calender just as it appears on the screen, not as lines down the side to indicate length of event?  I like the whole bubble of time approach as it is on the screen.

How do I get iCal to print my calendar just as it appears on the screen?  I like the whole block-out method rather than just a line down the side indicating the time devoted to an event.  Is there any way to change the style of how it' sprinted?

  • Satellite M65-S9063 - Vertical white lines appearing down the screen!

    Hi all - any ideas...
Model M65-S9063 Approximately 3 weeks ago a vertical white line appeared down the screen, it's around a mil thick.
Then yesterday a second one has appeared, slightly thinner this time. They're always there even after a reboot! It doesn't look as though any video is being displayed as they're always white. I was wondering graphics card perhaps? Or maybe the LCD itself?
    Anyone seen this before??
    Many thanks,

    Hi!
You can simply determine the reason of this issue. Connect an external monitor the notebook and see what happens.
If you can notice the same error on the external screen, its a problem of the graphic card or display driver. If you dont have this issue on the external screen, you should go to an authorized service provider for exchanging the internal screen.
If you use a non Toshiba display driver you should remove it and test it with original Toshiba drivers.
I hope I could help you a little bit.
    Bye

    Hi, bamboo64.
Try closing all open applications in multitasking and power cycling the device.  Once this is done test the results.  If the issue persists, I have included a couple troubleshooting articles that I would recommend going through.

Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

  • My iPod Touch has had random lines appearing on the screen at certain times (videos, typing)

My iPod 5 (32gig) has recently started to do this thing where it will show random lines on the screen when either typing quickly or watching certain videos. They are close to the thickness of your fingernails and occasionally vary in color. I've had this iPod for around a year and a half now and it hasn't suffered any significant trauma. When it happens on the keyboard, the lines only appear on the keyboard. When it happens during a video it only happens where the video is playing (ie. if not on full screen, it only happens on the rectangle where the video is, not the empty space). And it also only happens on certain videos. It happened earlier on a news segment clip on the Fox website, but not on a music video I watched on YouTube three minutes later. For videos, it can be up to three of these lines at once. It first started happening to my keyboard and has since furthered itself to the videos. The screen has two small scratches but other than that it's fine. I'd also like to add even though it may not be relevant that my apps have been crashing more recently as well.
What do you recommend I do? Why is this happening? Thank you in advance!

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • When I plug in apple tv the status light just blinks amber and nothing appears on the screen

When I plug in my apple tv (first gen) the status light just blinks amber and nothing appears on the screen.  The status light never turns white and won't stops blinking amber.  I've tried to over ride this with the remote, resetting it and trying to revert it to the factory settings.  Is there a way to wake it up or is it a lost cause?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
The system looks like it's unable to start up, this could be software but more likely hardware, either way unless it will start up there is nothing a user can do to resolve this.

The upgrade I'm interested is for OS X  v.10.8.5...
...The App Store page shows 2 different upgrades:
Mountain Lion  (10.8.5)  Software Upgrade,  and
    Yosemite FREE upgrade
If the App Store is showing 10.8.5 as an update, what do you currently have installed? The final update to Mountain Lion was 10.8.5, and since the basic OS installation of Mountain Lion is no longer offered in the App Store, that would suggest you're currently at an earlier version of Mountain Lion - 10.8.x where x=less than 5. If that's the case, I'd suggest getting the 10.8.5 update. There is also a Supplemental Update for 10.8.5 and that may be what the App Store is offering.
