A.Pack question

If you dont mind a stupid question but what is A.Pack and what does it do. How will it help me?"

A.Pack is a program that came bundled with DVD-SP, although I don't know if it's still bundled with the latest version since Compressor 2 now does the task that A.Pack was designed for.
Essentially it's used for converting the AIF audio file (that was created during the MPEG-2 encoding process) into a Dolbly AC3 file format for inclusion on DVD-Video. Since AC3 takes up much less room than AIF, using AC3 allows for more room on the disc for the video content and menus, etc.
As I said above, Compressor 2 can now handle this task so you may not need A.Pack any longer.

  • Crystal Report Service Pack Question

    Hi,
      I have some question regarding Crystal Report Service Pack for different version respectively :-
    Crystal Report 9
    1.  I have SP5 and SP7.  Can I just install SP7 without installing SP5 ?
    Crystal Report XI R2
    1.  I have install a distribution of Crystal Report X1 R2 in a non-development server.
    Can I install the latest SP6 into that non-development server ?  Which SP6 I should install, preferably a link to that SP would be great.
    NOTE: I am a VS.NET 2003 and 2005 developer.
    Best regards

    - no. From CR XI on, SPs are only meant to be used on development computers. E.g.; a computer that has the CR designer installed. To update your runtime computer, you will have to uninstall the current runtime and install the SP6 runtime:

  • Coherence Management Pack questions

    Hi all,
    I'm attempting to setup the Coherence Management Pack for OEM12c integration but have a few questions on which I can seem to get clear answers. My understanding is that there needs to be a node setup as a JMX monitoring node for the Coherence Management Pack to function. Based on my research this should ideally be a separate node used just for JMX monitoring and not used as a data cache node. So my questions are:
    1. Does this separate node used just for JMX monitoring require a Coherence license?
    2. Is this node a single point of failure (SPOF) whereby if it goes offline then Coherence monitoring also goes offline?
    3. What is the thinking/recommendation for using this single node as the JMX monitoring node for multiple environments, i.e. DEV, TST, QUA, and PRD?
    I appreciate any assistance.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    It is included in the OEM 11g installation and there is no seperate software/binaries required for Coherence Management Pack.
    Cheers,

  • Mobility Pack Questions

    Hi,
    I installed the latest Mobility Pack 41.1151. It would have been easier
    if I didn't have such fat fingers.
    The issue I'm having now is the list of address books is empty for any
    user.
    Where do I look to see why it's not populating?
    Thanks Danita for your Quick Start Guide. Good job.

    You may want to post your question here: Data Synchronizer - NOVELL FORUMS

  • Unresolved Family Pack question

    Someone in another thread was asking specifics about the family pack, and received a bit of hostility in return. While it may seem like people are trying to find out if Apple has some mechanism to prevent them from handing out licenses to friends, I think there are some legitimate questions regarding Apple's definition of Household. For instance...
    The family pack allows students who are away at college to be considered part of the Household. When they graduate and move out, are they expected to purchase a new license?
    If a couple that is living together breaks up, do they have to fight over who gets to keep the license?
    If I get tired of taking care of a senior family member and send them off to the old folks home, will that person be expected to somehow uninstall Leopard and revert to Tiger?
    If someone is stationed overseas to serve in our military at a location that prohibits them from being with their spouse and children, will they be able to use a license from the family pack? (If you answer no, you're not a patriot and you're probably emboldening the enemy.)
    Just thought maybe someone could clarify this, because it sounds like Apple is saying, "While you must be part of the same household to legally use these licenses, we'll give you some leeway when you define your household, and really, we'd rather you buy a family pack then just pass around the same single license to everyone who's close to you, which is what many people would do anyway."

    The family pack allows students who are away at college to be considered part of the Household. When they graduate and move out, are they expected to purchase a new license?
    Not till they pay off their student loans and parents!
    If a couple that is living together breaks up, do they have to fight over who gets to keep the license?
    Not if they have an iron-clad pre-nup!
    If I get tired of taking care of a senior family member and send them off to the old folks home, will that person be expected to somehow uninstall Leopard and revert to Tiger?
    By then, Vista should be good to go!
    If someone is stationed overseas to serve in our military at a location that prohibits them from being with their spouse and children, will they be able to use a license from the family pack? (If you answer no, you're not a patriot and you're probably emboldening the enemy.)
    They, and their families, should get free licenses!

  • The unlimited pack question

    I understand that unlimited means everything inclusive, but I was wondering about this part, does the unlimited means that if I forward calls to a mobile phone will it be free? meaning is it included in the unlimited pack?

  • Another packing question.

    Hi,
    How do I pack EJB:s that I reside on another server?
    I have read Tyler Jewell's excellent articles on this
    subject on OnJava, but I still can't get it to work.
    My ear contains the following files:
    app.jar non ejb classes used by app-ejb.jar
    app-util.jar non ejb classes used by app.jar
    app-ejb.jar session beans that live in WL
    other-ejb.jar session beans that live in another app server
    other-util.jar non ejb classses used by other-ejb.jar
    The Class-Path: (manifest file) in app.jar points to
    app-util.jar
    other-ejb.jar
    other-util.jar
    The Class-Path: (manifest file) in app-ejb.jar points to
    app.jar
    app-util.jar
    From my client i call a session bean in app-ejb on the WL server.
    That session bean in it's turn uses classes in app.jar, that
    in is't turn call a session bean in other-ejb.jar on the second
    app server.
    WL complains about not being able to narrow the second session
    bean to the correct class.
    But, if I put other-ejb.jar and other-util.jar in the CLASSPATH
    in the startWL.cmd file it works fine...
    BTW, I'm running WL 6.1 sp2, jdk1.3.1_02, WinXP.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    public class Clock{
    int hours;
    boolean isTicking;
    public Clock(Clock c){
    this.hours=c.hours;
    this.isTicking=c.isTicking;
    HTH
    Chandru.MThis isn't entirely correct code, since the hours and isTicking variables belong to the entire Clock class, rather than one instance of it. This is what you want:public class Clock {
      Integer hours;
      Boolean isTicking;
      public Clock(Clock c) {
        // these statements make them instance variables
        hours instanceof Clock;
        isTicking instanceof Clock;
        hours = c.hours;
        isTicking = c.isTicking;
    }Hope this is helpful to you.

  • About packing question in outbound delivery

    Hi there:
    Could you tell me whty some outbound delivery need to be packed before PGI and some do not need? I meant what's configuration to trigger that? Thanks.

    Hello
    Its definitely depends on the item Category getting determined during delv.
    Check TCode VLPP - Packing Control By Item Category (SPRO - LE - Shipping - Packing)
    By this you can control for each item category whether it can be packed or whether it requires packing. If an item category is characterized as requiring packing, the item must be packed in delivery, before goods issue. If it can be packed, you can pack it. You cannot pack items with an item category which cannot be packed.
    For materials to  be handled in batches, you control whether only items with batch available can be packed, or basically the cumulated main item quantity is packed.
    For each item category, enter either the packing control "A" for item categories requiring packing or "B" for item categories which cannot be packed or, leave the field empty if you want to characterize the item category as "can be packed".

    JP

  • 4.7 x 2.00 Support Pack Question

    Hello,
    I am attempting to apply upgrade from PI_BASIS 2004_1_620 to PI_BASIS 2005_1_620 on an R/3 Enterprise 4.7 x 2.00 System.
    Using the SAINT tool, I am bringing in the SAPKINBB7A OCS package.  I have tried the following queues:
    SAPKINBB7A by itself
    SAPKINBB7A with follow-up patches SAPKIPYJ51 to 3
    SAPKINBB7A with follow-up patches SAPKIPYJ51 to 7
    Each time, I get an IMPORT_PROPER failure:
    Error in phase: IMPORT_PROPER
    Reason for error: TP_STEP_FAILURE
    Return code: 0012
    Error message: OCS Package ALL, tp step "N", return code 0012
    The error has the symptom of notes 794802 and 751864.  However, the 751864 code is already present in the system before I begin.
    If anyone has seen this particular set of circumstances, I would appreciate the input.
    Regards,
    John

    Hello,
    My SPAM/SAINT is updated to the latest level (patch 20).  My Kernel is patched up to level 129.
    I tried the Extras >> Ignore generation errors.  However, this simply returned the message, "No generation errors found".
    After further review of the logs, etc.  I came across note 903242 which described the problem perfectly.  After applying the suggested solution, the support packs proceeded to the next step.
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,
    John

  • Delivery and packing Question

    How does this facility work for packing an order into several boxes.
    1. I managed to Add several Items to a BOX (Pack Type) but I am not able to add another BOX to carry on packing. Am I missing something?
    2. Also, how do I create a Delivery Note that has these packing details - the relevant PLD does not seem to have access to these Packing fields?
    3 Once I save the Delivery, how do I look back to see the Packing Details?
    4. Is there any Documentation on the Packing Topic?
    Thank you
    Robert

  • AD Management Pack question again

    Hi everybody!
    Guide instruction presented with AD MP says about installing agent on
    ALL Domain controllers. But there is one "but"....In my situation there are several domains in one forest (one parent and two subdomains). My management group there is in one of subdomains. Do i have to install agents to other domains....?
    In guide says nothing about it(((

    Hi,
    The ADMP supports the monitoring of forests in addition to the forest where Operations Manager and the management pack are installed. You can deploy agents to remote forests. The management pack will gather health and performance data for the remote forest
    according to the view of the domain controller where the agent is installed.

  • IMac G5 original packing question

    I am selling my iMac G5 (because of travel, I've been using my MacBook Pro exclusively lately) and want to pack it all up nicely in the original carton.
    Does anybody remember exactly how it fits?
    1. The stand was originally attached, right?
    2. Does it go in the box between the two foam inserts right-side up or upside-down?
    The reason I ask is because with the stand attached and right-side up the stand is flat against the bottom of the box and it just doesn't seem well-protected somehow.
    Does anybody remember?
    Thanks!
    doug

    Hi Doug, as far as I can remember, the iMac G5 is packed as it is, standing upright inside the box as well, as how it exactly fits inside, betwen the foams etc, I would not know.
    Maybe you can do a search on the web, someone might have taken pictures of unpacking an iMac G5, or even an iMac Intel (hopefully they pack the same) and posted on their own websites or something
    Cheers

  • Language Pack Question

    I live in Egypt and I am currently in SIngapore. I am looking to pick up an x6. I was told that it is a European phone officially unlocked. The sales man said that I can install the Arabic language pack on it. Is this true? I am buying it for a friend who speaks very little English so it is important that I can install the Arabic Language. Pack for him. Can I download and install or does nokia have to do this for me?
    I know nothing about this phone and don't want to buy it and for it not to be able to install the Arabic pack.
    Thanks.

    if arabic is not on phone you would need to send it to a nokia care centre and they can install it
    If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • .mac Family pack:: questions about editing on two computers

    Hey I'm new and would love some advice.
    I'm a college student with some web experience. I'm helping out my folks' business by making them a website. I'd also like to have a website of my own.
    1. It would be great if I could edit their business website from my computer at college and they could update photos or info from their Mac at home. (how do I do that?)
    2. Also, if I am editing their website, do I need to be logged in as their .mac account in the system preferences?
    3. It seems that any website created is all in one file. How can I have two websites with separate accounts?
    Thanks for your help! I'm still new to this.
