A pop up told me I needed to power down my laptop and restart it.
I was on the computer and out of no where a pop up came up saying I needed to shut the laptop down and power it back up. I couldn't do anything but power it down, my screen was frozen. What is that from? What caused it?

Have you tried removing and replacing the SIM? If that doesn't work, try a new SIM from Verizon, they will usually swap them out for you for free. If those don't work, you might need to get the phone checked out, it may have a bad SIM port.

Look at original question. When I did the download to the new 6.0 it said everything was fine. Then when I tried to use the firefox again it said an older version needed to shut down my computer so that it could upgrade the old version. It wont let me do anything and all it says is shut down computer so old version can upgrade. It wont let me open the program or remove it or anything. PLease help me with this. I really like Firefox but this has been going on for 5 months now and I still dont get answers from you. How do I fix this???

I need to purchase a new laptop and wondered what was recommended when using lightroom?
Ehich laptop is most compatible with Lightroom?
Also, if you are planning to also use the laptop to edit your photos, you want to go with a 17" screen. I have a small 15" ASUS laptop with an Intel I5 CPU and 6GB of RAM. Lightroom runs fine on that but I only use it to offload images from my CF card and use Lightroom or Elements to verify the download was successful by checking the RAW images in a RAW viewer so I have no need for a lot of power. However, the small screen is not suitable for serious editing.
I also have a Macbook Pro 17" which I also use. I have a small working catalog on that machine. I used to use it for traveling but, being considerably larger and heavier than the ASUS, I don't take it on the road anymore. The screen was large enough that I could view 1:1 previews and still see nearly the entire image on the screen which made it suitable to make changes and judge quality but I still wait to to do the serous edits (like using Photoshop) when i get home where I can export/import my working catalog to my Mac Pro with the big monitor.
The 17" screen on the Macbook makes serious editing possible and there is enough power and memory to run both Lightroom and Photoshop. If the laptop is going to be your primary darkroom, go with a 17" screen with a fast processor (Intel I5 or better, I7) and at least 8GB of RAM (Photoshop really loves RAM). One other thing I will mention is that I worked in IT for a very large bank where we had thousands of laptops deployed from a number of different manufacturers. The Lenovo laptops had the least problems over all with a much lower percentage of them having to be returned/repaired. I personally had good luck with the Dell laptops and have owned them personally as well but many of my coworkers did not fair so well. -
Plug my iPod into computer and iTunes told to uninstall mobile device support and iTunes, I did and as I try to reinstall iTunes, it told me my computer cannot get rid of old iTunes and to contact technical support. My computer is hp windows and my iPod touch is a 3rd generation I believe.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

I just got a new MacBook Pro. With my netbook, I was told to hibernate or shut down when I was finished. With my PC I was told to turn off the monitor but leave the computer on because each time you shut down and rebooted you wore down the components. My mother is a photographer and keeps her MAC desktop on all the time, and just moves the mouse to bring the screen back to life. She never turns it off unless going out of town. So, with a MacBook (MAC laptop) should I keep the laptop on all the time and just take it out of sleep when I need it, or should I shut down and re-boot in the morning? Thanks.
it's actually up to you. I leave mine turned on all the time and just close the lid when i'm not using it.
if however, you will not use it for days, it's best to power it off.
not the same was windows laptop where we were always told to turn it off.

Why do i need to turn off the printer and restart it every so often to get it connected and ready?

In that case I suggest you to print HP Network Configuration Page and make a note of the Printer IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway as printed in the page.
Next open Internet Explorer browser and type the printer IP in the address bar and press Enter key. This will open printer information web page also known as EWS (Embedded Web Server) page. Here click on Network. If the printer is in Wireless, select Wireless and one of the settings displayed talks about Manual IP configuration.
At this setting select Manual IP and enter the Printer IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. Then select Manual DNS and enter the following addresses
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
Save the settings and turn OFF and turn ON the printer. Try re-enabling the webservices and check the result,

I tried to import picture/video files from iPhone 5S to MacBook Pro Aperature. It appeared to be trying to download every picture I have ever taken even tho I checked do not import duplicates. Need new power adapter for Qosmio F50
Hello
I am in need of buying new power adapter for my Qosmio F50 126. The reason being if I try to run more demanding application on my computer, the entire computer just crashes, shuts down. I need to buy a new adapter before my entire computers crashes result in destroying my HDD. I am not sure if my battery are died or the power adapter fails to charge them up.

What I would like to know if the following two adapters are the same and would work with my model. I ask this because the price difference between the two units is significant., 20 USD. Also, I will be importing it from the USA using an agent here. Therefore I need to get it right on the first try.

You need an AC adaptor which supports *19V and 6.32A*
The Ampere value might be a little bit different. This should not be a big problem but you have to ensure the Ampere value isnt too low. The notebook needs enough power to run properly and to charge the battery.
However, the Volt value (19V) cannot be different. _It has to be *19V_*
The original AC adaptor has the part number: *PA3290E-3AC3*
I recommend you to purchase the AC adaptor recommended by Toshiba. -
