You can not create an iCloud account using a PC, set the account up on a Mac or an iPhone/iPad, then you will be able to sign into it on your PC.

You can't setup (create) an iCloud account using a PC. You must use an Apple device, a Mac or an iPhone etc. Once you have created an account you can sign in from your PC.

If there's no change, restore the item you deleted from a backup, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Otherwise, you may need to recreate some of your settings in the Network preference pane.

I keep getting pop ups to enter apple I'd and password

Do NOT click on popups or webpages offering updates to Firefox.
You appear to be posting from something other than Firefox (Internet Explorer ?)
Are you able to post a screenshot, it is probably a scam.

  • Having to enter Apple ID and password multiple times

Since upgrading to Yosemite I am being asked by Apple apps to enter my password much more often than before, to the point that it's annoying. The reason for this usually is not apparent, and happens even though I'm using only my home computers, from which I've signed in many times previously and which should be recognized by Apple, and on which I have elected to stay signed in. Worse, oftentimes when I sign in, the dialog box refreshes, with the PW field empty, giving no indication why my entry was not accepted. Sometimes I'll have to enter my PW two or three times before it's accepted, all with no alert that the ID was not recognized or the PW was incorrect. It's like the system is trying to call my bluff or having me say it three times before it'll believe me! This happens so regularly that now when iTunes or Mail, for example, asks for my PW, I enter it very slowly and deliberately, so I know I'm not making a typo. Besides, I never experienced this behavior with any prior OS X version.
Anyone know what's going on? Is this a new security step—the owner of the Apple ID will continue to enter repeatedly what he knows to be the correct PW even when it's not initially accepted, whereas a hacker will move on to a new guess after a first attempt with the correct PW is rejected?

There appears to be no Keychain access thru Spotlight, certainly not as a menu item called Keychains. I accessed it thru a link given in Mac Help in response to the search term "Keychain First Aid" (even then it was hidden seven items down from the top, following such {logical}* hits as "Chess Help", "Notes Help", etc—who wrote this search engine???). The link took me to Keychain Access, and under this menu was the First Aid selection.
Implementing it and selecting Verify reported no problems found. Selecting Repair produced the same report.
So nothing appears to have been accomplished. I'll have to wait and see whether the problem persists. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll post further if there's any change.

    Hi there,
I have a Mac Book Pro from 2008. I have mountain lion running on it.
We used to have a server (pc) in the office that I connected to and stored all of my photos and videos etc.
We have jsut upgraded to a new server and this connects great!
However, ever since the switch, when i open keynote, imovie or iphoto i get the error message:
"Enter your name and password for the server "192.168.0.10".
(it is trying to connect to the old server)
I have tried a bunch of fixes online but i dont think they are relevant for this issue - or i cant find what they want tme to change or remove.
Any help would be great! having this pop up while trying to create things slows everything down.
    thanks!!

Hi Tom! Welcome to the Apple discussions. You have posted in the forum dedicated to the application Appleworks. Your question is better to post in the forum for MacOs 10.6. In that forum you have several sub-forums to choose from.

  • IPad 2 with iOS 7 not able to login to Apple ID and password

I got my iPad 2 yesterday and I discovered this morning I could not login to my apple account. I tried to download an app, put in my password and i was prompted with a message that said I could not connect to the iTunes/apple store. I've tried many ways such as clearing cookies and data, setting 24 hour time zone, but none of these things worked. Is there a way to log back in? And if so, how?

  • Ipad continues to use my old Apple ID and password.  I can't remember the password. I have created a new Apple ID but icloud is still locked up with the old one. Help.

Last week I changed my Apple ID.  I was having some problems with getting "incorrect ID or password" message.  sometimes it would accept my info and sometimes it wouldn't.  I got tired with messing with it and decided to just create a new Apple ID and password.  The new ID has worked ok, but my icloud account still comes up with my old ID. I tried to change that but couldn't without signing in with the old ID.  I did several times but I always get the message "incorrect Apple ID and password".  I tried using other password but nothing worked. Now I'm not sure what the password is. I have asked for a password reset to be sent to me but nothing comes ( using my regular email ). I have tried using the secret questions and I get them all correct except my birthday doesn't jive with what they say.  I really need some ideas. My icloud account is essentially locked to me and isn't backing up my stuff. that's about all I can think of to tell you.

Hunter of Sock Monsters thanks...I did follow your advise.  I went to the iforgot site and tried answering the secret questions twice.  I got the "wrong answer", so the next time I asked for an email authentication.  I am still waiting. I don't know what the usual time for waiting normally is. I am still waiting for an email reply from three days ago.  I'm not going to hold my breath.  My ipad is out of warranty but I may have to beg for help from support? I'll wait awhile longer.  Maybe there is another thing someone could come up with.  I appreciate your fast reply Hunter.

  • Hi, I have sold a phone and the user cannot get past ever Apple ID and password but the password isn't working.?

    Hi,
I have sold an iPhone 4S, I thought it was fully erased but it wasn't, it had find my iPhone on and the user is being prompted to enter apple ID and password. I went onto Apple account and removed device from find my iPhone and erased. Still says the same thing to the buyer. I have changed my password for Apple ID and then called them and they have entered the password but it doesn't work. Tried the old one that doesn't work either. \
    Any ideas.
Very grateful to hear from anyone.

There is never a reason to give someone your Apple ID password.  Period.
If you've removed the device from the Find My iPhone section of www.icloud.com, then it's not activation locked.  They need to restore the device as new and set it up with their own information.
Immediately change your Apple ID password and also update your security questions.  You may also want to change the primary email address of your Apple ID.

  • Apple TV keeps telling me there is a problem with my apple ID and password when I try to connect to home sharing. I have checked and rechecked and re-entered several times with same message.

I just bought an Apple TV and am trying to set it up. I am connected to wireless, is having difficulties setting time and date. When I try to connect to iTunes and sharing. It keeps telling me that there is a problem with my apple ID and password. I have quadruple checked and re-entered and it won't recognise it. What do I do? Dan.

Sounds like it is more an issue of connecting to the internet. Not just the WiFi Some people have reported that performing a power cycle on their Internet router solved this.
