A previously open, but not recent sesion is resumed on start up that isn't wanted.

When firefox is launched: 8 tabs that were open months ago open as if it was the last session.
The tabs were open before the browser was put into private browsing mode. During browsing something caused an unexpected shut down or forced shut down. (I can't remember).
Now when ever Firefox is launched, the same 8 tabs open. All the settings are for a blank tab / not remember the last session.
I reinstalled firefox. I cleared the history (everything). It has been months.
*The error has been found: open 'about:config'

The start up home page was shown as the regular mozila google thing in the user interface.

My daughter is having the same problem (Spinning start and forever Blue after). After finally getting it to boot from an install disk, Disk Utility says the HD is failing according to S.M.A.R.T. status. The machine is acting like a PC with a virus, or a laptop on a weak battery, even though it's plugged into A/C with a green light and System Profiler syas the battery is charged... tries to boot up and dies befire the CD is finished spinning. Takes multiple times to get it up from CD or from an external boot disk. This sounds like more than a failing HD to me, and with the above comment that their HD was replaced to no avail I'm reticent to go that route. Zapping Pram and rebuilding the desktop get nowhere.
This situation too has a recent digital camera interface background, as well as reports that the HD was getting full.
We also recently installed an Airport card, which I removed this morning to see if it could be the culprit.
Reading this forum it seems there is a rash of this behavior going on. I'd appreciate any help y'all can give, and I know my daughter will be forever grateful if she doesn't lose her music and pics.

Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If restoring using a backup doesn't help, try restoring the iPhone to factory settings and try for a while with just the Apple-included apps, to make sure it's not an issue with a third-party app. If it still has problems, it may have a hardware problem and will need to be sent to Apple.

When I totally close eyetv and reopen eyetv and open a live tv window the closed captioning comes back. I never noticed this with os leopard, Just after i installed os snow leopard. All software is up to date only I think, thanks to apple they droped support for logic express. Thanks for any suggestions.

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

Sounds like you may need to repair the Disk Permissions on your drive where your images are stored.

Calendar (not called iCal anymore) does not include that capability any longer, apparently. What you have to do now is go to Automator and create a Calendar Alert action. You can add a Run AppleScript object to the action and paste in your script there, then when you save it, it will become available as a choice in the alert menu in Calendar.

I think that you are trying to view a form fields PDF file and you cannot see the content that was filled in on those fields. Form fields will not show in the mail app or in iBooks. Download Adobe Reader for the iPad. It is free and it offers a lot of features for a free app. Save that PDF to Adobe Reader and see if the text in the fields appear.

Itunes opens, but not completely (transparent)

First, I uploaded iTunes using a CD. Then I tried downloading from the iTunes website. Both times I get the same result...
When I double-click the iTunes shortcut on my desktop, iTunes opens but not completely. Only the text becomes visible (like File Edit View...across the top. And some text toward the bottom of the program). Everything else seems to be transparent. Any help would be great.

I recommend you do as LexSchellings and I are telling you to do. If you have uninstalled iTunes and the reinstalled it from Apple's website and it still does not work, you will have to contact the Apple Technical Support section for them to guide you through steps to try and get it working.
