A problem after runing a form in reader extension

Dear All,
I need your help in this following problem ,After runing a form designed by Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.2 in Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extension it doesnt work ,as when I open the form it gives me this messsage "This document enabled extended features in Adobe Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer availabe. Please contact the aurthor for the original version of this document." And all content of the form were blocked .

i am trying to build a form and regestering it on ebs ,
i am sure i made all steps correctly ,
i opened the template , removed unwanted objects "block_name,%detail%" i do not remember the second name of the block , modified triggers "pre-form,when-new-form" , modified app_custom package , created my block on a new canvas with a new windows , inherited every new object i created , did everything , and the form is compiled and registered well , but when i try to press f11 to enter-query , the fields color does not change to blue , it is white , second thing , f4 does not close the form or cancel the query ,
and i can not insert anything into the table .
i've tried it once with per_all_people_f table , and another once with table i created ?
how could i solve it ?

Mobile Forms and Reader Extensions

Hello, everyone!
If we are working with usual PDF forms, we can apply Usage Rights to it (via Reader Extensions). So, we can create pdf form, add some rights to it, and after that send this form to our users, and they will have working barcodes, ability to import\export data and save form with theirs input.
But what about Mobile Forms?
In Forms Manager we have a .xdp template and we can provide user url to this template with PDF Render Profile. And as a result - user will see form with not working barcode (becoming grey after each input), no ability to save form and no functionality of import/export data.
So, how reader extensions can be applied to such forms?

Are you using LiveCycle ES4?
IIRC, You can probably plug your own PDF Render Profile which, in addition to render the PDF , can also apply RE to that. And then from Forms manager UI, you should be able to associate that custom render PDF render profile to your XDP.

No way attaching files to a form without Reader Extension Server?

Dear all,
do I understand this right? There is no way to create a form to which attachments can be added using Acrobat Reader unless the form has been reader extended to do so with Reader Extension Server?
If there are any possibilities I would be very thankful for any hint.

Yes you got it right. There are no exceptions or workarounds for this.

[SOLVED] More rsync problems after restore... Read only filesystem?

Yesterday I backed up all of my data with rsync to a USB thumb drive. Surprisingly it all fit, but my intentions were to wipe my disk and create a new partition scheme for a dualboot while still being able to continue where I left off with arch. So after backing up with the script from the arch wiki titled full system restore with rsync, I followed the rest of that page, and modified the fstab on the backup on the USB and reconfigured grub and restarted my computer and I was able to boot into the USB. Then, I decided that it would be easier to just use the live cd to repartition and pacstrap the base system and generated an fstab. Next, I chrooted from the livecd environment into the newly built base and installed rsync. I then mounted my USB to /mnt in the chrooted environment and used
rsync -aAXv /mnt/ARCH_BACKUP/* / --exclude={/mnt/ARCH_BACKUP/etc/fstab,/mnt/ARCH_BACKUP/boot/grub/}
I just did this since I figured that all of the directories excluded in the script wouldn't really have to be excluded here since they were already empty. Everything seemed to run smoothly except for one file(or maybe directory?) called /etc/resolv.conf.t.jbnW2 which kept giving an error. I figured the file was unique to the USB or something and continued to reinstall grub and then reboot. The weird thing is that everything was back on my system, but it didn't automatically boot into a display manager which it's set up to do. Then when trying to manually start x, that wouldn't work. Then I tried to connect to wifi, it recognized my network but wouldn't connect, so I tried sudo su, which worked but returned an error that the var file system was read only. I then tried to use rsync again thinking maybe that directory would transfer now that I wasn't in the chrooted environment. But instead, it was trying to restore every single file, but every one returned the error "filesystem is read only".
It seems like when I restored all of the files in my entire system were made read only.
Can anyone tell me what may have caused this and how to fix it?
I think it may either be that when I mounted the device in the chrooted environment I didn't specify 'rw' capabilities, or it may be that when I backed up I didn't specify 'rw' capabilities I just opened the file manager and clicked on it and it automagically mounted to /media/.

Ok, well I fiixed it. I had edited the fstab on the usb to be able to boot into the usb, and, while I edited it again on the hdd each time I restored from the backup, I didn't realize that the top entry /dev/sda1 (which is my root partition) was on a line that was commented out. I guess I accidentally hit the backspace button or something while editing it to be able to boot into the usb.
Also, I think there was a second problem, that my usb controller is starting to fail. Because on the last time that I backed up, if I moved my computer or anything I would get a I/O error. This was caused by the failing usb controller. The computer would remount it as read-only because of the failure. The solution to this was to use
hdparm -r0 /dev/sdxy
Note: The device must be unmounted.
Where x is the device and y is the partition number, for me this was sdb1.
Then mount specifying read-write option.
mount -o rw /dev/sdxy /media/<BACKUP>
I also tried
mount -o remount,rw /dev/sdxy /media/<BACKUP>
as was recommended on all of the sites that I could find, but this command kept returning an error.
Note: For newer users, Arch does not automatically create the media folder as it doesn't provide automatic mounting of external drives. If such is the case, and you haven't installed a desktop environment with a file manager that will automatically do this for you when the device is recognized, you must make the media directory and the directory which you intend to mount to manually.
# mkdir /media
# mkdir /media/<BACKUP>
Where <BACKUP> can be whatever you want it to be.

Problems after upgrading the Adobe Acrobat Reader

Hi All!!
I have created a Web Dynpro Abap which displays an Adobe Interactive Form.
Initially, my version of Adobe Acrobat Reader was 6.0, and runs perfectly.
Today, I have upgraded my version to the 8.1, and the form is displayed but with all the fields blank. I have debugged and the information is sent to the Form.
One of my partners has still the version 6.0 and runs perfectly, and another partner has the version 8.1, and has the same problem like me.
Somebody knows what is the cause of this?

On the fist part of your post, I can´t see any data, but I can see the label of the fields.
On the second part:
1. The form is DDIC based.
2. I think is WAS 7.0 SP 12.
3. Yes, is from the backend. I send the data by means of the node context automatically generated on the Web Dynpro ABAP when I indicate the form to the UI element Interactive Form.
4. Is a print form.

Real problem after changing a setting (please read!!!)

This is the situation:
A UBEE wifi modem from my cable provider.
On the Ubee i connected my Airport Extreme Base Station (AEBS) via UTP, and have set it to bridge mode.
On the AEBS I have an Airport Express connected (via UTP) to extend my WiFi coverage.
For the last few months this worked like a charm.
Today I changed the setting on my Express not to create a network (a default setting), but to extend the network from my AEBS (the AEBS was always creating a network).
And now, both my AEBS and Express can not be found anymore, resulting in no network and no internet.
I disconnected the Express, but still the AEBS can't be found.
I did a factory reset on the AEBS, but again, the AEBS can not be found.
The problem is that I cannot connect the AEBS directly to the internet because of the UBEE wifi modem wich has default settings (meaning I didn't change them), and the AEBS must be used in Bridge mode to function properly.
Please can someone please help me to get everything work again.
I have both version 6 and 5.6 of Airport Utility.

I fixed the problem myself by resetting both the AEBS and the AExpress to their factory defaults. Strangely though that the latest version of Airport Utility didn't recognize either one of them, but luckily the Airport Utility 5.6 did.
So I recongigured first the AEBS, and when that worked as I wanted it to, I configured the Express.
And everything is now up and running like a charm.

Problem after assigning field-symbol in read statement...

I want to use a universal field-symbol in reading my internal tables so
I can avoid declaring multiple work areas. Here is my code:
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_any> type any.
READ TABLE lt_orderadm_h INDEX 1 ASSIGNING <fs_any>.
Now when I try to insert this code:
IF NOT <fs_any>-object_id IS INITIAL.
ENDIF.
It says that <fs_any> has no structure and therefore no component called object_id.
I think that I need to use assign component for this but I don't know the code.

Hotkey (Ctrl+B) is not working after migration from Forms 6i to 10g

Dear Gurus,
Need your help regarding the following problem:
After migrating from Forms 6i to 10g (Rel 2), Ctrl+B (used to list the blocks in a form) hotkey is not working anymore (all other hotkeys are working fine). I've checked my FMRWEB.RES and it contains an entry for Ctrl+B:
66 : 2 : "Ctrl+B" : 70 : "Block Menu"
Additional Information:
OS: AIX
NLS_LANG = UTF8
fmrweb_utf8.res also contains the same text for Ctrl+B as above.
I tried to reproduce it on my Windows Machine (with NLS_LANG set to AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1) and its not working as well. I don't have right to put move files on AIX server but i can try anything (on my local system) suggested by the Oracle gurus.

Yes, i am dead sure. Since:
(1) It was working fine in forms 6i
(2) If you run a form and select Help => Keys, you will see Ctrl+B on the top of list
The problem is its not taking into account the keys which i am defining in the file (although i am following the same procedure detailed on metalink.oracle.com).

Reader extensions render failed. What would be problem?

The form which I created using designer is working fine with acrobat, but when it opens in adobe reader all the scripts seems to be not working! Do we need to render the form with reader extensions before proceeding with adobe reader? With that assumption I tried to apply rights to the pdf from reader extensions (http://localhost:8080/ReaderExtensions/
) but it failed to render! What would be problem? – attached the screenshots for your review and feed back

How to allow attachments on forms saved with Reader Extensions?

I have a Livecycle developed form that includes action builder buttons to attach other documents. When I re-save the form with 'Reader Extensions', the attach buttons no longer work. Is there a way to allow this functionality? How?

Of course. This facility is only available with Reader extension server. You need to apply reader Extension permissions for the form and specifically , you need to add Embedded File Attachments reader extension.

Reader Extensions ES WebApp

Hi all,
I have a problem when I try to reader extend a form using Reader Extensions webapp (http://[host]:[port]/ReaderExtensions).
I can upload the form, select the rights and then when I click "Apply", the progress / waiting bar "Download" keep running and nothing happens.
Did anyone ever encoutered this issue ?
Is there a solution ?

This problem seems to occur with all pdf files that I try to upload (tested 5 of them so far). There is absolutely nothing in the server log ...
I tested connecting to RE from my computer and directly from the server, both have the same problem.
I'm using ReaderExtensions V8.0 by the way.

Problem in Insertion into table through After Report Parameter form trigger

I am getting problem in inserting some data into temp table through Report.
My requirement is like that, I have to do a calculation based on user parameters, and then insert the data into the temp table. I wanted to do this into After Report Parameter form trigger function. I have done all the calculation and wrote all the insert statement in that function. There is no problem in compilation. then I am taking value from this temp table in my formula columns.
When I run this report, it hangs, don't understand what is the problem.Can anybody help me out in this.
