A problem in my n95 8 gb

hello ,
i've a problem in my n95 8gb
i've updated my firmware to v 20.0.0.16
and when i open the download center and i update my list . it writes to me there are some missing files and tells me to try again later . so i cant download all the files because some of them are hidden . i need your help

Not really, this is a user to user forum.
Use the Contact Us link in the top navigation bar (green bar) to contact Nokia.
But just out of curiosity, what's the "download center"?, is it the Download! application that looks like two blue boxes with a black arrow on top?

  • Problem connecting Nokia N95 to Audi MMI via Audi ...

    Hello again!
My dad has recently upgraded his phone from his old-ish Motorola RAZR to the N95 and now can't connect properly to the car. He bought the handsfree set when he still had the Nokia 6310, so it's designed for that, but his next phone, the Motorola had no problem synching with the car and everything worked fine. But now, with the new one, it only works as a headset of sorts. The phonebook is inaccessible, and the ringing is only heard when you make the initial connection, and even that the standard ring ring, not the mp3 he has as his ringtone. And from the second auto-connect afterwards, the MMI only mutes the radio, and makes no other sound.
I've paired my Nokia 6280 with it and it works as it should, addressbook, ringtone and all.
Is this the problem of the N95 not supporting the old version of Bluetooth, like i've been reading on the forum and can't be resoloved by any other means than getting another phone or can it be solved by a simple firmware upgrade?
Also, i've tried googling for UHV 1733 and haven't had a single hit. I am confused. :?

I don't know personally but it has been discusse before somewhere else. Try this link:

Generally the views I have been seeing about the N95-8GB is its a whole lot better build, and generally better than its baby brother the N95.

  • Who can solve iSync problem with Nokia N95? (I use the Nokia plug already)

    Hello
Since I bought my new cool Mac:, I sync my N95 with iSync and the Nokia N95 plug-in. Thinking at first that is works flawlessly (as other members here seem to think as well) I later found out, that if I make changes to any calendar or "to do" description! on either the N95 or the Mac it syncs, but only up until a certain number of characters. If I exceed this number, the description on the phone will simply be cut off - in the iCal it still fully appears though.
Rather surprising, since when syncing with a PC via the Nokia PC suite there is no such an issue. All my often lengthy descriptions are fully put on the phone. And if I sync back there are no problems either. So I guess it has to do with the iSync protocol or this Nokia N95 iSync plug-in? Any ideas, solutions...? Any help greatly appreciated!

The flex cable is damaged. Some years back when I had a Nokia N95 8GB the flex cable was damaged and for a few days the screen was showing strange colours at the display and eventually the screen became black. I went to a local repair shop and I replaced the flex cable and what I noticed was that the flex cable that it had no proximity sensor on it so I told the technician to remove the proximity sensor on the original one and replace it with the new flex cable. Another thing I discovered was that after fitting the flex cable and returning the cover the front camera was not in its usual position so the technician had to do some modifications to get it back to its normal position and after a few months it was damaged and this time I went to Nokia Care Centre and replaced the flex cable for a small fee and what I noticed was that the flex cable that I previously bought was a fake cable. The one bought from Nokia Care Centre had its proximity sensor and when the cover was returned the camera was in its exact position the same as it was with the original flex cable. What I wanted to say is that please beware of fake flex cables on the market and I suggest that you buy it from an authorised Nokia Dealer.

  • Problem with nokia n95 lcd. Black screen and flex ...

Hi i have a nokia n95. I have it since its first year in the market. I am very pleased with the phone but the last month sudenly when i slide to open the phone's screen was not responding. The actual phone was working great. I could receive calls and make calls, listen to music and everything else. The screen was black though. As i am a technician with experience on iPhones mostly i thought that the lcd was damaged. So i ordered one from the internet and 2 days ago i received it. When i installed it i had the same problem. The phone works but the screen not. Then i completely dissaseblied the phone for one more time and i noticed something that i hadn't before at the flex cable. The flex cable consists of 2 flat cables. Well the one is completely broken. Take a look at the following pictures and please tell me you opinion. I am 99.9% sure that this is the cause of the lcd problem. I want to tell me if i should buy the flex cable. I can't go to a nokia center because the phone is out of the warranty over 2 years now. So the only option is to change it on my own.

  • Possible Problem for US N95 User Upgrading to Firm...

On July 19, 2007 the new firmware version 12.0.013 for Nokia N95 became available through Nokia Software Updater for US product coded N95s. I installed it and only within 1-2 hours my phone messed up. It is now almost unusable. I am trying to figure out whether this problem stems from the new firmware or from another source that occurred by chance immediately after the installation of the firmware. I posted 2 videos on youtube showing the issues.

I would like to hear what you think, especially whether you have ever seen or heard the same problem in any firmware version.
    Thanks!

Hi Please read this link as I had exactly the same problem and this is the way i went about solving it. The phone became totally useless and i even got an error code when starting it up. This does work. Tried to link but couldn't get it to work.
    Hi All.
On two different N95 when i upgraded the phones these are the problems i experienced and how i solved it. Just to inform you the two phone were set up totally different with totally different software on it but both were upgraded from v10
First of all i made backups onto the memory cards as suggested by Nokia. Don't do this!!!! backup to PC and restore from there.
I then ran the update with no Problems and restored from the memory card. Big problems started. First of all the main screen lost all it's functions and there where no standby shortcuts on the phones. I could get into the menus by pressing the menu keys but even trying to setup the phone from here gave me no results. The standby shortcuts could not be restored at all and i think the problem has to do with the Active standby apps. or Standby mode. Even the two shortcut keys at the bottom of the phone were gone. After which i rebooted the phone. Even worse things happened then the phone then said "Failed to load or Phone load failure. Contact your Phone Retailer"
The way to fix this is to press and hold the ( 3 * and the green answer key ) and then switch the phone on hold these three key until it asks for the country you live in. This formats the phone. Enter all the data asked for that is country, time and date.
Then restore from your memory card and straight away go into your phone settings using the menu key. Go to General setting and load the Factory Settings. After this re-customize your phone and everything works like a charm.
I have had no more problems from then on. Oh and the phone is a lot quicker.
The only problem i've had with the phone from v10 and still in v12 is that i can't choose a ring tone from the memory card. The card holds about 900 songs (2 gig card). The only choice i have is to select no ring tone or to download on. The way i get to choose my ring tone is to copy the song or ring tone to the phones memory remove the mem card select the tune from the phone once i've done this i re insert the mem card and carry on from there.
    Hope this is helpful.
    Best to you all.
The N95 is a great phone though.Message Edited by hotcat4 on 20-Jul-200706:11 PM

  • Updating problem with the N95

Hey guys I got a problem
I installed PC suite and then downloaded the software updater...
the nokia software updater by itself usually takes me 1/5 tries before it actually opens , it just says starting application and just takes forever... but sometimes it does connect..
when it does, I connect my N95, select pc suite on the phone and the theme is general, computer itself recognizes the connection and so does pc suite... but in the software updater it says "detecting your phone" and it just looks for it for EVER and never finds it...it usually just freezes after a long while...
You guys have any idea what this could be
    i have vista 32X
    thank you all
    MAX

anyone discovered a fix for this yet? (i'm running Vista Home Premium)
I also wanted to paste an interesting thing from a logfile generated by the Nokia Service Layer (found in C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Nokia Service Layer\A\Logs):
14:34:14.228 [ERR00106] Failed to load Product Api Loader
14:34:14.228 [ERR00107] Product initialization failed (possibly failed to query the Product API interface)

14:34:14.228 [ERR00107] Product initialization failed (possibly failed to query the Product API interface)
interesting error, anyone know anything about it, is it related?
A new log with this same error inside it is created every time i run the nokia software updater.Message Edited by oridan on 14-Sep-200701:20 AM

  • I have (had actually) a problem connecting my N95 ...

    Hi all
Yesterday I tried to connect my N95 to the computer with the USB cable. I've done this more than a hundred times already (updating GPS maps alot). Anyway yesterday when I plugged in the cable nothing happened - the USB sign did not appear on the phone and nothing happened on the PC either.
I removed the cable and plugged it on again - nothing happened.
I plugged the cable to another device (card reader) and it worked perfectly. This made me thing that the cable is not the problem.
After turning the device (N95) off and on about 4 or 5 times - the connection went well. I removed the cable and plugged it back in for about 20 more times - working perfectly.
Does anyone have an idea regarding the situation? What is the trigger to the problem and what is the solution?
I really believe (and I double checked) that the cable is not the problem and it had something to do with the N95 itself.

I am 32 and remember the days when DOS 3.1 was the popular operating system
Windows 95 and ME (what a **bleep** OS) both had a major bug - allocated memory could never be released, that's why they required a boot every other hour [/nostalgia].
[TWIST] - I "forgot" to tell that the problem occurred right after upgrading to the new firmware (20 something) was finished, and I had to install a lot of things.
Do you thing that the upgrade has anything to do with the problem, or it was just a coincidence? I am doing my best not to regret performing the upgrade....
P.S - thank you very much for your fast reply - patc and paholmanMessage Edited by e_lotan on 28-Nov-200704:22 PM

  • Problem in my N95,help me please.

My N95 stop responding sometimes, what causes this problem ? and how can i solve it?
    with my greetings

You could start by giving us some details. What are you doing with the phone when it stops responding?
The most common cause of freezes is programs that you have installed or a faulty memory card.

  • Problems unlocking nokia n95

I want to unlock my nokia N95 from 3. They told me it will cost £15, which is fine. They took my IMEI number and then put me on hold for a few minutes before telling me they did not have a code available and someone would call me within 15 days. Are they for real? I'm cancelling my contract with them, are they just being awkward?

Firstly, BB5 phones can be unlocked by code as can ANY phone, unlockcodes.ie supplies codes.
I've personally unlocked my Nokia e51 (WHICH 'IS' A BB5 PHONE) using a code i got for them,
how do you thing the networks unlock your phone?? by code!!
so please dont speak unless you know what your talking about!
ANY PHONE CAN BE UNLOCKED BY CODE, trust me i know i work in the industry and does most of my friends and family.
Secondly, we have sent many customer to unlockcodes.ie and gsm solutions over the years to unlock thier phones and they were all happy with the service.
As the saying goes 'you cant keep all customers happy all of the time'
Our shop alone processes over 150 codes a month with unlockcodes.ie and the fact is that its a great service.
Lastly, the article you refer to was published in 2003, over 5 years ago, and i remember it well. the fact is that back then unlocking phones was a 'grey area', and because gsmsolutions was the first company to offically offer a mobile phone unlocking service they got a lot of problems. even though it was perfectly legal.
In fact, i talked to an employess from gsmsolutions a few years ago and they told me that the mirror newspaper actually printed a full quarter page advert a few weeks after the article for gsm solutions as way of saying sorry after the mirror found out that phone unlocking was pefrectly legal. the mirror should of done thier research.
gsmsolutions stood thier ground and and now ireland longest running unlocking company, and this is the reason why most networks use thier services and recommend them all the time as we do.

  • Problem with nokia n95

i bougt in February 2010 a Nokia n 95 (code IMEI) that in October went out of work. I brought the telephone to the Nokia Assistance Center in Modena, Italy, where I live, but, after two weeks the answer was that the phone was rusty inside and therefore out of warranty!
Well, I am a doctor, I use the phone only for work in my office and I don't even bring it when I go on holidays... I asked clarification to ContactCentre.Europe since the 20th December 2010, but until now no answer.
The question is: did you ever received any similar remarks about Nokia N95?
    Thank You
    Moderators note:
"We would like to inform you that we have removed your IMEI as it is inappropriate to publish personal information on a public web forum".

You should contact Nokia Care by phone or by sending a message via this page:
    http://www.nokia.it/supporto/contattaci
You should be aware that your previous e-mail has not been ignored, it simply hasn't been delivered. The address that you quote goes to an automated routing system which depends on an embedded code to determine where it should go. This code is added by the mailform on the above-mentioned page, and will be present in any mail that you receive from our colleagues at Nokia Care centremeaning that you can reply to Nokia mails; but you cannot send a direct mail from your e-mail account because there will be no routing code and your mail will simply disappear into the ether.

Just got a nokia n95 for xmas yeah lol.

I am using windows vista. Any help would be great thanks.

    Hi gooseuk
Unfortunately as O2 have been incentivising remaining stock of N95 on v12 software it has been speculated that v20.0.015 will probably never be released under this particular product code, which can be found on label under battery.
