A problem that will not be solved.

Over a year now and I have finally found out why my internet speeds and conection problems on my MiFi are happening and Verizon wants more money out of me to fix a problem they knew about. I am a 14 years customer who will be leaving in November when my two year contract is up.
I have complained several times about my poor MiFi conncections and talked to several techs. I took the device in and finally ONE honest tech explained to me that although my area (Auburn, IN) has 4G and I should be covered, it still switches from 4G to 3G quite often. The MiFi unit I have takes 10 minutes or so to make the switch and during that time the internet is not available. I started tracking the times during the day when I have a 3G connection and a 4G connection with my smart phone and found that the switch occurs many times a day and there is very little 4G time when I should be on 4G 100% of the day.
The tech suggested a solution to have a large 4G antenna device installed outside my house and pay the penalty for cancelling the old contract and begin a new 2 year contract. WOW is that lame when they did not deliver the service they promised on my old contract. We are very disatisfied customers. As a university professor and community leader I have steered many people from using Verizon and I promise to talk many more into not being a Verizon customer.
I found out I am not alone with this problem in my area and Verizon tells others the same story and gives the same solution. More money to fix a problem they already knew about.
I firmly believe that in a few short years Verizon will have to change their name again (like they did from the old GTE because of a bad reputation on customer service). What knew name will they take on to recoup from people who are unhappy like me and my family.
This is my first ever written complaint in any forum.

Even 3G devices and services average 1-2 Mbps.  If your speeds are 20-100K as you proclam then there is certainly something wrong.  Either your device is malfunctioning or there is a service problem in your area.  If its not too late can you try posting some http://speedtest.net results for us so we can confirm?
Normally when speeds like yours are posted something can be done about it.  Have you asked Verizon to swap out your device or send a service tech to your area to investigate the towers?  All MiFi's have a variety of resets that can be performed as well which often help with slowness issues like yours.

    I get that every once in a while on my 3GS, and that's what I do to get rid of it. Probably not a bad idea to power down the phone every so often, anyway, gets rid of any crud waiting to cause a bug.

    Are you restoring your phone from a previous back up? If so there could be a problem within the back up. Try restoring your phone as a new device and then manualy reinstall all apps.

    It means that the orignal video file is missing which is not good news. How was the file placed on the backup hard drive?  Can you select the file on the EHD and play it with Quicktime Player?  That will tell you if the backup is a good backup.

  • CSA* BDoc Queues that will not dequeue

    I am trying to solve a problem with queues that will NOT dequeue automatically the BDocs in the Q&A environment (dev is OK).
    This is the context:
    NW2004s, Q&A
    CRM 5.0
    BDoc processing
    When I create a new BP, a BDoc is created.
    If I go to the SWM01 transaction, I find my nice BDoc in an "Intermediate (written to qRFC queue)." State. The related queue is named "CSABUPA" + number of BP.
    In order to really process the BDoc and create the IDoc, I must click on the queue's name, verify it's got one tranasaction in, and ACTIVATE it.
    In this way, the BDoc will be processed and I will get the green light!
    If I go to the SQMR transaction, I can see that, in QA, the CSA* queues have a "U" type, whereas, in DEV, they have a "R" type.
    Yet, I don't know (perhaps have no authorization) to change the "U" to "R" type...
    Any clues?

    There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on seven different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
    - Did it ever work properly?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
    With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.

I know that some wifi systems have a limit on how many things can connect to them but I have even gone so far as turn off the wifi on every device that we have that connects to the wifi and it still doesn't work.     Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

    Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

    - For the other problem you can try a reset. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - The next standard thing to do is to download/install a new app but you cant 'do that.
    - Instead, try restoring from backup.
