hi everyone , I had a problem like 5 months ago with my graphic card , and they replaced the motherboard . the computer used to work fine perfectly but yesterday I downloaded lion and install it , and I found a strange problem , its when I drag anything to the desktop something strange happen I will put a picture to show you
please any solution ??

[Update] I used gfxCardStatus and I noticed that in integraded graphic card theres no problem, it seems only with the nvidia card

they took the first time 4 weeks and now also 4 weeks , what a problem

The easiest way to get a fully working TNSNAMES in a version 4 environment is to use the Net 8 Configuration utility.
Here's a workflow:
1. From the Start button, select Start | Oracle for Windows NT | Oracle Net8 Easy Config
2. When it starts, check Add New Service and in the little box to the right type the name by which you want this connection to be known
3. Click the Next button
4. Select TCP/IP (Internet Protocol) and click the Next button
5. Enter the fully qualified domain name or IP address of the server that contains the database
6. In Port, enter the port number - it defaults to 1521
7. Click the Next button
8.In Database SID enter the name of the database, then click the Next button
9.Click the Test Service button
10. Provide a username and password for an account on the database, then click the Test button
11. If you see: Connecting.... The test did not succeed you got the username/password combination wrong or some other part of the setup
12. When you see: Connecting.... The connection test was successful click the Done button
13. Click the Next button
14. Click the Finish button
You should now have a valid TNSNAMES connection for use by Discoverer 4

Namespace problem while updating a desktop app

I've searched on a lot of forums but didn't find anything accurate on my problem.
I have an old AIR 2.0 desktop app that updated itself.
I want to update it to the last 3.4 framework. So I followed instructions for the intermediate application to update (between 2.0 and 2.5).
I manage to update from 2.0 to a Air 2.5 intermediate application, while still having the 2.0 namespace in the app descriptor file.
But it is impossible for me to update this 2.5 application (with 2.0 namespace) to a 2.5 namespace !!
Here si my update descriptor file :

I must say that I publish to AIR 2.5 with Flash CS5 and flashpro extension for air (in beta version) as Flash CS6 always overwrite the app descriptor while publishing (so it is impossible to change the namespace to 2.0 for example)

Ok, after having searched a lot, I managed to understand what was going on....
To those interested, the update descriptor must stay in a 1.0 namespace until the end of the process.
When all is updated (app namespace to 2.5), you can use the 2.5 update descriptor namespace....

I have a question I have an application that has internal frames, Basically it is a MDI Application. I am using JDK 1.2.2 and windows 2000. The question is that when you go to the desktop right click properties and in Effects tab you uncheck the 'Show Window Contents While Dragging' checkBox. Now when I run my application and my parent window that is a frame pops up, if I drag the window i.e. my parent frame it doesn't dragg the contents onlt thw windows border is dragged, means it doesn't repaints that is fine. But when I try to drag one of the internal frame it shows me the contents inside the internalFrame being dragged too and I don't want to see these contents while internal frame is being dragged. So how can I make my application not to show the contents inside the JInternalFrames not to be shown while dragging the JInternalFrame. Any help is really appreciated.
for an example I have added a code example to see the effect that I got from the forums just for an example to show. If you have unchecked the option 'Show Window Contents While Dragging' in Effects tab when you go to the desktop right click properties and the Effects Tab or in the controlPanel dblClick Display and go to Effects tab and uncheck this checkBox. Now run this example and see when you drag the main window contents inside it including JInternalFrame doesn't get dragged just the boundry of the dragging frame is shown. Now if you try to drag the JInternalFrame. Contents inside that are dragged too. And I don't want this behavior. I don't want to see the contents.

Problems Re-installing Desktop Manager

New to the board here and have a question maybe someone can shed some light on for me.
I'm running Vista Home Premium on my PC. I had problems with the BB Desktop Manager software so I decided to uninstall if and do a fresh install. Somehow, there were two identical versions installed on my laptop, and I could not uninstall either one. I had to download Windows Install Cleanup to delete the first copy. The second copy did not show up in my programs list on the Control Panel, but there was still a shortcut on my desktop. Clicking the desktop icon opened the second copy of BBDM! I found it installed under a folder other than Programs. I had to drag it to the recycle bin to get rid of it, as all un-instraller software was unable to find it.
Now...I went to download and install BBDM again and it will not install! I have tried the CD and web download versions. No matter what I do, I get the following message on the BB InstallShield Wizard shortly after the install process begins:
InstallShield Wizard Completed
The wizard was interrupted before BlackBrry Desktop Software could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again. Click finish to exit the wizard.
I have tried numerous times to get the software to install, but no go. Any ideas on how to get the install to work? I appreciate any help you can give me.

Japanese character problem while downloading file to application server

Hello All,
We are facing a strange problem while downloading a file to application server when file contains japanese text.
We are downloading vendor and customer information in a flat file format on application server. When the login language is EN program show ouput in a properly formatted manner.
When the login language is JA (japanese) program does download file with customer vendor data. I can see the description is japanese language but the formatting is gone for a toss.
We are facing similar issue with other programs downloading files on the application server.
I am using OPEN DATASET........ENCODING DEFAULT. and working on unicode enabaled ECC 6.0 system

Sometimes this also happens because of your desktop setting.Make sure that your OS also supports the JAPANESSE language.
Ask your technical support team to enable them in your desktop.

Run time error '9' while installing BIP Desktop 10.1.3.4.1 for Windows

I've been getting 'run time error '9' Subscript out of range error while installing BIP Desktop.
I have MS Word 2003 and the laptop's OS is Windows XP SP3. I have searched the net and this forum for suggestions
and followed what was recommended (install .NET framework 2.0, make sure no MS Office processes are not running while
installing the software, Admin rights at Registry level on BI Publisher folder etc..) but no use.
This is a new laptop which I just received. On my existing laptop (which has similar configuration), I've installed BIP long time
ago and do not remember facing this error. If any one has come across this problem recently and was able to trouble shoot it,
please share with me how you were able to overcome the problem.

Since I haven't heard from any one, I have opened a service request with Oracle support.
Support recommended that I down load a desktop publisher from edelivery.oracle.com but even that didn't help.

Lightroom crashed while dragging a photo in Book module

I was creating a book in Lightroom 5. While dragging a photo within the book Lightroom quit. An error window popped up and I sent the message per instruction. The message that came back stated Lightroom could not repair the problem. The screen is now blank and showing "Loading" for the past 9 hours.

Dorin, you are a Lightroom 4 God! Because I wasn't thinking of the text as a "caption" but rather as text, I never saw that option. I just tried it and it is fine. I am not sure if I can play with the dimensions of the box as much as I like, but I could deal with that by how I arrange the type. Yeah you!
While I'm typing to you, I have another question: one of the neat things about the book module is that you can switch into Develop and make a change in the photo and it automatically updates the photo in the book module. HOWEVER -- what happens if at some time in the future I am working with a photo which is in a book -- and I like the way it is for that book -- and I want to change the photo for another use. Will that change in the photo change the photo in the book? If so, is there any way to keep this from happening? I could see using a photo in a book in black & white, but wanting to use in for a graphic in color. I'd hate to come back to my book and see that all my work there had been screwed up.

Displaying Image while Dragging in List

Am using the List controls to display the data and VBox is
my itemRenderer. As we all know,by default List/DataGrid provides
the Drag and drop features.In the itemrenderer am displaying the
CheckBox and some other controls along with the dataFields and when
am trying to drag an item it's displayed as in a huge area.
I want to replace the item with an Image( icon) while
dragging.How do i do that? I tried with implementing the doDrag of
Dragmanager but am unable to see any image icon while dragging .
can anyone solve my problem?

Problem with dragging/panning images in Lightroom

I installed Lightroom 6 on a few days' old laptop - part of my initial set of intallations, and therefore very much a "clean" machine.
An immediate problem I noticed was in the Develop module. Here, a hand tool enables you to pan round a zoomed-in image which is too big to fit the screen, by clicking and draggging on the touchpad. This works as expected using the touchpad, most of the time. But if you select a tool, the touchpad moves the tool (obviously) and a click implements whatever the tool does (such as spot removal). If, therefore, you wish to pan round an image with a tool selected, you hold down spacebar to bring up the hand tool. You should then be able to click and drag on the touchpad to pan the image around. But this does not work: holding down the spacebar to bring up the hand tool seems to disable dragging or panning with the touchpad.
In case this was a Lightroom 6 bug, I installed Lightroom 5.7.1, but the behaviour there is exactly the same.
If I use an external mouse, there is no problem dragging/panning holding down the left mouse button while the spacebar is depressed. This is a problem only dragging and panning with the touchpad.
I have updated all the drivers, video, touchpad etc. to the very latest versions from the HP website. I have tried using Lightroom at different resolutions (my default is 150% magnification). None of this makes any difference.
It seems to me that htis is likely to be a touchpad driver bug. Has anyone else come across this? More importantly, has anyone come across a solution? It is a very big issue using the spot removal tool on large images - the only way of panning around is to drag on the image in the navigator at the top left, which is hopelessly imprecise.

Did you contact Adobe about this problem as well cause if this problem isn't happening in other software on your laptop then it might be the way Lightroom is configured that is causing the problem?

Two finger scrolling while dragging files in finder

Hi guys.
I'm new to this forum but have used it in the past so I'll start by saying thank you for all the people who post on here.
Now for my query, and this one is driving me nuts because it seems like such a simple thing that is either missing or I can't figure out how to use for the life of me.
I know while dragging files in finder when you take them near to the bottom or top of the window it will scroll up or down. The problem is the area on which you have to move you mouse is about 5 mm big and if you go too far it stops scrolling etc. It's very clumsy. It amazed me that while dragging a file I could not still two-finger scroll, which would mean that you could control the speed. It would also be a lot more efficient.
I have searched countless forums and through google but cannot find an answer. If anyone can tell me how to two-finger scroll while dragging files please help me?! Or if there are any plug-ins that have more customisability that could allow it.

Problems while doing following Tutorial

Everything is fine until I reach the step to create the databinding.
After I drag and dropped the table to the databinding field, I get following warning:

And after I finished the tutorial, I don't get any data, in every case, wether with or without a session.xml.

JTree Drop Target Highlighting while dragging

I am having this requirement where I need to develop a similar interface as that of the Windows Explorer. I am facing problems in the JTree where one of the requirements say that I need to be able to highlight(select) a node when it is dragged upon although that might not be the drop target, very similar to Windows Explorer where while dragging a folder, even before dropping the folder on a target folder the drag selects all the nodes over which the drag moves.
Also I need to be able to get a ghost image of the item being dragged, very similar to that of Windows explorer.
If anybody out there knows how to achieve this Please help.

In the dragGestureRecognized (DragGestureEvent dge) method I am trying to set the cursor from default drag cursor to move cursor. But the move cursor is showing along with the default cursor with flickering. While dragging the image I just want to show the move cursor only.
