A proplem when create a directory

hi guys
i'd like to create a directory and load the files from it
but i got some errors as following
SQL> create directory db2 as 'c:\az';
Directory created.
SQL> BEGIN

so i'm wondering if u know the reason of this problem;

Is the database running on the same machine as the machine you are running sqlplus from or is the database on a different machine.
A SQL Directory object can only be used to access a directory on the machine that hosts the database.
Eg if c:\az is a directory on your desktop and the database is running on a different machine you cannot use a SQL Directory to access your file.
