If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

  • HT1725 I purchased an album and it downloaded. However, one song on the album has only half the song. I've tried to "download" the "available downloads", but the darn itunes states that it's already been downloaded. How do I get the rest of the song?

I purchased Alanis Morisette new album. All the songs have downloaded, or so it said. While listening to the album, only half of "celebrity" downloaded. I've checked the "available downloads" section and it says that all have been downloaded.
How do I get the rest of the song to download? I've read the support page about wifi issues, blah blah blah. Not the issue.
    Thanks for any help.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past purchases, delete the broken files from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to close and restart iTunes.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • Ipad Remote app works for only half the songs in my iTunes library, and sound still comes out of my Mac instead of my iPad.

Can anyone offer suggestions? I realize there are two separate issues here.
    1. I thought I successfully connected my iPad with the iTunes library on my Mac/ Hard Drive via the Remote app. However, more than half the songs in my music library will not play on the Ipad; when I click on any one of them using the iPad's Remote app & iTunes, I get a message box that says: "An unknown error occurred. Please check your library and try again." These songs all play fine through my Mac's Itunes program.
    2. I had thought I could use the Remote app to get my library "into"  my receiver, connecting the iPad to the receiver with an RCA-to-headphone adapter. This adapter works great to play music that "lives" on an iPod or iPad.  But it does not seem to be able to access music that the ipad is controlling only remotely. If this is true I will be pretty unhappy...

Thank you. My two questions have now shifted.
    1. You are right-- I have been unsure as to whether Homesharing or Remote was my answer, and I did set up Homesharing on both my Mac and iPad. It still appears that my music comes out of the Mac, only. How can i use  Homesharing to allow the iPad to play music?
    2. And I went back to check again, and saw that somehow, the songs that my iPad cannot locate are also somehow missing now on the Mac, even though they used to be accessible. My entire music library is stored on an external hard drive, which I used to connect to my Mac with USB. I just got a new router and now have the music hard drive connected via USB to IT instead of the Mac. I would bet that this is why so much of my library is no longer accessible-- I must have used different settings to save some of my songs, and the hard drive's new location shows that. Can anyone help me make my entire music library playable ? Thanks again

  • TS1424 download only half the song on a album

Just bought an Album on itunes. One song did not get downloaded completely. i have 1:35 of a over 3 minute song. How can i get the rest of the song downloaded??

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Downloaded skillet comatose album, only half the songs play, half way, not in their entirety

i'm new to iTunes. Downloaded a paid for album (Skillet, Comatose) some of the songs only play a few seconds and then cut out. What gives, can I redownload?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

  • I connected my iPod to my new computer and only half the songs transfer.

How do i move all the songs that were on my iPod to the new computer?

Are they all from iTunes or CD's? Some of the songs from iTunes may have still DRM on them, and thus, may not transfer.
It may also be a few other items--Windows 7 may have issues with your iTunes, for example--and someone else may have thoughts that I don't right now.
Hang in there...we'll find an answer!

  • Only half the programme plays.....

    Hi,
I have BT Vision with the unlimited TV package and it works great apart from one major thing.
Some of the programmes I go to watch, particularly in box sets seem to only have half of the programme. I don't mean half of the series, it is literally say 30 mins of an hour long show. It is happening across many different programmes so getting really frustrating. As soon as you get engrossed, the programme cuts out. I've tried other episodes and although it may say "40 mins" on the screen, it would get to say 20 mins and then come up as if the programme has ended..?
Can anyone help explain this, tell me how to fix this? It seems pretty stupid to provide things on demand if they only have half of each episode.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

    Stephanie,
thanks again for the quick response, you are certainly energetic!!!
    The issues I mentioned are:
    1. An occasional few programmes, On Demand obv., are not there in their entirity and finish with some way still to go. This is not a service problem as there is no error involved and they are still that way weeks later when I check back to see if they've been fixed. I assume the problem is with the content BTV are supplied as I guess no-one messes with the content at BT? Also, I've never seen a film have this problem, only episodes of TV series. As I said it isn't something I come across every week. As such I don't know from memory of one I can tell you of now by way of example. This is nothing to do with the advertised time on the info screen not matching running time - this is usual and irrelevant. When I next see one I'll post in here and send you a PM so you can see what I mean yourself and will have an example to show whoever needs to see it. Having said that, unless someone at BT checks all incoming content you are at the mercy of the providers of the content anyway.
    2. With regards to the boxset order problem, as I said it's a matter of the order sometimes being displayed alphabetically only. This means that the order (assuming 12 episodes in a season) can sometimes be as follows:
Programme X Season 3 Episode 1: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 10: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 11: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 12: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 2: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 3: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 4: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 5: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 6: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 7: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 8: Episode Title
Programme X Season 3 Episode 9: Episode Title
So if you aren't paying attention and you finish watching episode one, you naturally go down one in the list, assuming that episode two is next and it would be if it were sorted numerically but some boxsets have this error.
I am not near the BTV now but if you go through any of the TV series from ABC or Warner or somesuch you are bound to find at least one example of this. I always now try and remember to check the second episode down is 2 before I watch 1 otherwise if it's something with a narrative running through the series, like say Fringe, it wrecks the series for you entirely. Now you could say you should be paying more attention....and you'd have a point....but if they've got 'previously' at the beginning of episodes 30 secs of episode 11 before 2 is enough to make me stop watching...I know this from bitter experience.
Again, this error doesn't happen ALL the time and I guess when the episodes are loaded onto the menu someone somewhere occasionally forgets to change the order from the default alpha sorting to numerical / alpha - or they order them manually, maybe?
Sorry for the long post but I thought I'd try and be as clear as possible.
    Thanks again!

  • TS1424 my itunes song says it was downloaded completly but it only plays half the song. what do i do?

itunes downloaded all my songs but on two only half of it played..what do i do?

Delete the tracks from the iTunes library, allowing iTunes to move the track files to the Trash. Then download the tracks again from the iTunes Store via this procedure:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
That fixes the problem for many people. If problems with the tracks persist, go here:
    iTunes Support
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
    Regards.

I just tried to download a song I purchased and only half the song is there. when I go back to the itunes store it says the dowload is complete.

  • Half the songs on the album I purchased from I Tunes do not play from iTunes or on my ipod. How can I correct them?

I purchased an album yesterday- less than half the songs play from iTunes or on my ipod- I can't re-download to try to fix- only repurchase and risk a repeat of the problem. Any way to "activate" the "blank" songs that iTunes seems to just skip? They show up with full info as if they were there

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • IPod Mini playing only half a song

I'm having a problem with my iPod mini. I uploaded a bunch of cd's onto my iPod last night. During the last cd my computer and iPod froze for about an hour. So I did the unthinkable and unhooked my iPod. Then all of my songs wouldn't play, so I deleted everything. Now when I upload songs, only half the song will play or sometimes the whole song will play but then the next song will only play a few seconds. It's very frustrating! What should I do?

What I suggest doing is using your ipod updater software to reset your mini to Factory Standards. Then, if you receive any problems during updating, there should be a little green keyboard with an arrow on your start toolbar by the time. It's called "Safely Remove Hardware" and you can use that to end the connection with your computer. And usually when compuers freeze, they should go back to normal within at least a day at the longest.

  • Some of my music downloads from the istore are only playing half the song.  why is that happening?

how can I correct this problem?  In fact I have even paid for them twice and they still play only half the song.

I have two recent purchases that stop with just a minute or two to go, so I'm going to follow this conversation, too.

  • HT201272 When I download a previously purchased song to my iMac only half of the song plays

Any idea why only half of every song plays when I download a previously purchased album or song to my iMac?

Does the track play correctly in Quicktime Player?  If it does then it is an iTunes issue.  If it doesn't then it is possible the file was not completely downloaded, or is corrupt.
