A query on Weblogic developer licenses

Hello,
Firstly I would ask your excuse if I am posting this in the wrong forum.
My organisation (s/w vendor) is planning to develop a j2ee project for one of our clients who would be using Weblogic 10 for deployment in Production. So naturally we would like to use Weblogic Server 10 in our development environment too. (otherwise we are quite happy with JBoss)
But we are not sure whether this means that we need to purchase development licenses from bea or whether the version available for download from the bea site can be used free of cost for development too.
I'll greatly appreciate if someone clarifies.

The license included with the WLS 10 installation grants you the right to use the product for development purposes at no charge. The license restricts scaling of applications by restricting the number of external connections to the server.
In order to obtain support, and additional licenses you may require for scaling testing, as a software vendor you should consider joining the BEA partner program. See the following:

Simply, WL server allows developers to use freely for development purposes. There is a little confusion over "fine-print" on "comercial" purposes are prohibited, so outsourced vendors developing software for say ISV consider commercial purpose (they paid for software development) and need production license to 'develop' application on WL.
Can you pelase clarify this statement? simply, can outsourced software vendor develop applications for a client using developer license?

so it's not quite all that straightforward.... so I suggest that you contact Oracle to clarify your needs.

Weblogic Application Server Development License Options

Would like to understand what is the cost effective way to procure development license of Weblogic App Server?
Requirement: Want to use WL App Server for Development Purpose. Ideally would like to install in the Developer Machine - primarily aimed at improving productivity. Eclipse with Weblogic Pluggin can enable Start/Stop/Deploy options directly from the IDE.
Checked up with Oracle Sales to findout the cost of each installment in a developer PC would cost a whopping 12K USD. TCO will go considerably high based on this kind of license policy. Hence would like to understand how organizations are managing this high cost of Development License of WL App Server?

First off, the list price of the standard edition is only $10k per CPU
Second, nobody pays list price for Oracle software, there is always room for negotiation. How big a discount you're going to get is going to depend on your ability to negotiate and what pressure your sales rep is under. Realistically, if you're plausibly considering other application servers and your sales rep is having difficulty making his quota in this economy, you probably have a decent amount of leverage.
I would strongly suspect that if you're looking to purchase 6 figures worth of software for your production environment (i.e. 4 processors @ $25k/processor for the enterprise edition) that you can probably negotiate with the sales rep to get licenses for the developers' laptops at a drastically reduced price if not for free.

I have a WL 7 developer enviroment.
My developer/temporary license is expired.

I have the Weblogic server 9.2 version License,
Now Should I have to purchase new License for the *9.2 MP2 ?*
I have the License for the 9.2 , but I do not have the License for MP2, From where can I get the same ?

or

Development license for WLS 9.1

My company have purchased two production licenses for WLS version 9.1. My question is do we get free on development license since we have purchased production license? is there any extra steps that I need to take in order to get the free development license.
2) Is there a way to check the maximum connection for production weblogic server?

Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072EFE while obtaining developer license on win 8.1 Pro and Enterprise edition

Hi,
     I need developer license but I get below error "
     "We couldn't get your developer license for windows8.1
      : Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072EFE"
Another issue I am having is I can't open store app - it gives message "Your PC isn't connected to the Internet. To use the store,connect to the Internet and then try again"
My PC is connected to the Internet and I can open other store apps
I have tried below workaround
- Click on Try again in the message
-Check if system date and time is correct.

From Windows 8 refresh screen: "Apps from Windows Store will be kept. Apps you installed from discs or websites will be removed." and documentation says that "The apps that came with your PC or you installed from Windows Store will be reinstalled, but any apps you installed from other websites and DVDs will be removed. You'll find a list of the removed apps on your desktop after refreshing your PC." (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc)
Since you installed Windows 8, it looks now as a fresh Windows 8 installation. Well... It removed all the apps installed, of course. Seems you got rid of some crapware.
But you will have to reinstall drivers (if required, shouldn't be too many: Synaptics UltraNav, Hotkey/Onscreen, Active Protection System, Realtek PCIE Card Reader... all the others should be detected already automatically by now). And of course you will have to reinstall all your software.
I'm afraid there is not much more help to be given. It worked as it was intended to.

There is no license that I'm aware of. Just download the WDK 8.1 and start using it (assuming you already have VS Express installed.)

Dynamic query in weblogic 7.0?

I tried dynamic query in weblogic 7.0 for almost a month but still failed. So I wish someone can help me .
I used dynamic query in a session bean.
QueryHome queryHome = (QueryHome) ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/BooksEJB");
But this line always returns null for queryHome. I am sure my JNDI for CMP 2.0 BooksEJB is right.
I also set <enable-dynamic-queries>True</enable-dynamic-queries>
in descriptor file followed by instructions in bea documentation.

Help required with developer licensing

My name is Mike Spiers and I have enrolled on behalf of my employer, Newman University (UK) as an Apple developer so that we can produce apps for iOS. I understood from the outset that this was the most appropriate type of license for us to have as we primarily wish to be able to produce such apps to support our research work rather than deliver tuition to students on development of software for iOS, though that may come in the future.
Having now enrolled, agreed to license terms, provided payment details etc., I now wish to be able to add my colleagues so that each of us can use this developer license, as I have been led to believe via Apples enrollment recruitment process.
Can somebody please provide me with some guidance as to how to go about this? We essentially require the ability for any of us (there are only a handful of us working on these projects) to be able to develop software and submit it to the Apple store under our corporate banner for subseqent user download/installation.

Sell, give, there is not much difference anymore. The difference is the distribution. If this is for public distribution then you are taking the correct approach. If you want to have multiple people be able to submit apps in the unversity's name, then you will need a business account. You can contact Apple and see about changing your account type. It might be easier to just start the process of opening a business account. It may take some time. In the interim, you can continue with what you have and have only one person be responsible for submissions. Anyone else can develop and test in the simulator. If they have their own, individual accounts then they can test on a device. if you decide to open a new business account, you can transfer your app over to the new account. If you try to change your current account, there may be other issues you will need to plan for. I suggest contacting Apple Developer support directly and asking. Either way, it is going to take some time.

Procedure output like a query in SQL developer?

How can a PL procedure create output like a query in SQL developer?

How could I make the PL block behave the same way as the SQL query, i.e. present its output in a query result window?

ABAP development license for integration certification

Hello to all the forum members,
My company is interested in certification some ABAP development that was developed for one of our costumers.
The development was done using a developer license of the costumer and as we understood, ABAP development license is a pre-requisite to the integration certification process in order to receive your own name space.
Could you please let me know if the costumer developer license is enough for us to start with the integration certification process.

ABAP development license and AAK install

Hello,
What is the ABAP development license? Is it a license that has to be registered within our SAP system that our development is done on? Or is it just a license number that we reference on our test reports, certification etc? Just wondering what work, if any, is involved here.
AAK install. Is this just a typical install through SAINT?

Yes, indeed you will have to maintain such a development landscape, purchasing development license is not sufficient. Every customer Add-on must be delivered using a development namespace (i.e. /ABC/<name_of_object>), it is not advisable to delivered Add-on in customer namespace (i.e. starting with Z***).
AAK or Add-on Assembly Kit will be delivered to only those vendors who sign up for ABAP Add-on certification with ICC.

Contact Point for a HIGHER level of development licensing for iPhone?

I know about the Enterprise Program.
I know about the Individual Developer Program.
I am looking for a contact point, for which our legal team could contact for a development/licensing agreement that doesn't fit within either of those two programs.
The company I work for is not small potatos and is a major player in the market we are focusing on. We are still far from of till we have a complete product, but our legal team wants to start discussions now with Apple... so everything can get worked out by the time we are ready to go.
So if one of the Apple folks see this, I am sure you can see my email address in my private profile... please email me directly. If someone else happens to know, please post it if you can. Even if it is just a number, that I can call to talk to someone... to get the next phone number to call.
I hope that all made sense.

Actually... yes, that is 1 of the 2 reasons I posted here.
Reason 1: That those that have the administrative and moderation access in this forum, also has access to the account information of the members that have signed up here. Which pretty much every forum software package grants the rights to those of the administrative/moderator staff. Or at least at a minimum could reply to the post, with the information that I am seeking.
Reason 2: This is a discussion forum, and I thought... people come here to help one another. And as I listed before, we tried the LEGAL contact page on Apple.com, no luck there. We tried going via iPhone developer program information contacts... dead end. And our legal contacts did in fact try to reach out to contacts that we also did have on file... and those also ended up in a dead end.
So excuse me for using yet another avenue of communicating with Apple and people who may also have or are going through the same situation.
As for the sarcastic replies... I know exactly why I am getting them, and hence why I returned them. I am absolutely no stranger to the anonymous world of discussion forums. But if you want to continue thinking that everything is just like slicing a piece of apple pie, and serving...
Then you seriously underestimating the complexity of issues like this.
All I did was come here to ask for some assistance when every known avenue has turned up to be a dead end. I thank the person that provided at least another avenue, that may lead to proper solution.
Grouch Marx was an interesting character. Last I checked, this wasn't a club. Or maybe it is, and you only want to keep to your own and forget the thousands if not magnitudes more of people that are just looking for a simple answer to a problem.
