A/R Tables and Process

Hi,
Can any of you pls let me know , what the flow of data is in A/R process i mean for open items and cleared items.
1. If  a open item is cleared will the document still be in BSIDand BSAD or BSAD only.
2. what is the link which we can use to tie the records in BSID and BSAD.
any help would be appreciated and points will be awarded.
Thanks
Priya

Hi Priya,
BSID only has open items and BSAD has closed items.
So if the invoice is cleared then, you can check in BSAD(Field BELNR),
whereas if not cleared, then look for the invoice in BSID (BELNR).
Hope this answers your question

  • Dimension build using SQL table and process to fill the SQL table

I have a dimension in a cube that is manually* built by one of our power users. Now I have to get all the member information of that dimension into a SQL table(example : with columns...level0,level0property,level1,level1property etc....) to use that table in STUDIO for member load.
Is there any easy process to do this? Currently I am building each and every row manually in that SQL table and there are 1100+ members in that manually built dimension. Please advice.

Thank you so much Glenn!! That worked!! You make our lives so much easier!!

  • AQ or Streams to replicate data from a database table and put it on a queue

If was tasked with the above if I was using AQ I'd think about publishing to queue via insert trigger on a table that's the destination end of a replication.
Given that there's replication involved it sounds like if you want to replicate data from A to B and also push it to a queue you should be thinking Streams with a transform and not just AQ.
However, how do you get Streams to replicate from A to B and at the same time and in the same transaction transform a message and put it on a queue?
Also, if you are to build the message in XML and use an XML payload what do you use to construct the message? PL/SQL by hand? Are there API's in PL/SQL to build a DOM and then stringify the DOM you've built such that everything is entity encoded correctly and the payload can be published to a queue as an XML payload?

Oh yes sorry I lost track of which thread this was. I was thinking Streams but I forgot the original suggestion was to use triggers.
We have many use cases today where data arrives via inserts into some table and a process polls this table and processes the data. This approach does not scale very well. Currently these polling processes are polling the same database that is constantly inserting data as it arrives via multple processes.
I am trying to move away from this approach by introducing queuing. In addition to the above we also have an approach where as the data arrives it's placed on a queue and the process processes these messages asynchonously from the queue. Currently this queue based implementation does not use Oracle. I am trying to move to a solution where if the data must arrive via inserts into a database the processing of the data doesn't necessarily have to be by fetching those records out of the table thru polling. The general idea is that as the messages are inserted they are subsequently enqueued and processed off a queue. There is no desire to have a process which simply polls the database and enqueues what I find in the table. The goal is to remove constant polling of the database.

  • Process Order tables and Production System Performance

    Hi All,
What are the different tables of Process order? Also how do i know which table affects the system performance of Production system and to what extent if Change Logging is made active ?
The issue is in our clients place we would like to set the Change Logging ( Records changes made for any transaction )  for Process orders and we would like to know to which tables change logging should be made active so that Production system performance is not affected.
    Please help me regarding this.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Neetha Avani.

All the changes done in any transaction are saved in CDPOS table.
when there is any report developed based on this table then the performance will be very slow.
Tables used for process orders are
AFKO            Order header data PP orders
    AFPO            Order item
    AFRU            Order Confirmations
    AFRUHR        Order Confirmations for HR
    AFRV             Confirmation pool
    AFVC             Operation within an order
    Hope the above helps.

  • How can I use Hash Table when processing the data from cdpos and cdhdr

    Hello Guru,
    I've a question,
I need to reduce the access time to both cdhdr and cdpos.
Because may be I'll get a huge number of entries.
It looks like that by processing cdhdr and cdpos data will take many secondes,
it depends on how many data you need to find.
Hints : Putting instructions inside a form will slow down the program?
Also, I just want use Hash table and I need to put a loop-instruction going on the hash-table in form.
I know that it's no possible but I can declare an index inside my customized hash table.
    For example :
    DO
READ TABLE FOR specific_hash_table WITH KEY TABLE oindex = d_oindex.
    Process data
    d_oindex += 1.
    UNTIL d_oindex = c_max_lines + 1.
Doing this would actually not necessary improve the performance.
Because It looks like I'm having a standard table, may be there's a hash function, but it could be a bad function.
Also I need to use for example COUNT (*) to know how many lines I get with the select.

  • Add a new Row to a table in HCM forms and Processes

    Dear All,
I am haunted with the problem of adding a new line to a table on clicking a "ADD new Line" button on the Adobe form, how can this be achieved.
    What I have done
I have created the table and followed the instruction of OSS note 1043692, i have kept a 1 initial line. Though this adds a line everytime I click on add new line as I have maintained 1 initial line, but this creates a problem in next stage of approval as it shows an extra line(because of the 1 initial line maintained).
Anybody has any other logic of adding a new line to a tabular display in HCM P&F(Infotype 0014)
Note : I have tried all ways of adding extra lines through Javascript, though it adds lines, it is not captured. So  I have dropped the idea of javascript.

    Did you resolve this?

  • Script task error during the creation of partition by reading a table and using AMO - SSAS 2012

    Hi,
I need to create SSAS (tabular) and process partitions in an authomatic manner. Moreover, the partitioning is respect to a category, an year and a month.
Category, year and month are resident on a table to read to create the SSAS partitions.
    So, in a SSIS pkg:
    a. I've created a data flow task to read the SQL Server table having category, year and month data,
    b. I've connected the output of the ole db source as the input for a recordset destination, associated to an object variable,
    c. I've used a for each loop container (ado enumerator) specifying the object variable and three variables, for category, year and month,
    d. inside the for each loop container I've created a script task using AMO (visual basic) to control for any existing partitions, if not presents to create the new ones and then to process them.
For the first iteration, a new partition has been created and processed successfully, but then, for other category, year and month values the script task fails. I've controlled the code many times and I've tried to put returning messageboxes but I've found
anything. The error is a generic one and no other info are returned.
Well, any suggests to me in order to solve this issue, please?
    Many thanks

Hi, thanks, I've solved adding to the code end the SSAS server connection termination.
    Bye

  • Here's how to do ALV (OO) with dynamic fcat, int table and editable data

    Hi everybody
Here's a more useful approach to ALV grid with OO using dynamic table, data NOT from DDIC, dynamic FCAT and how to get changed lines from the grid when ENTER key is pressed.
It's really not too dificult but I think this is more useful than the ever present SFLIGHT methods from the demos.
This also defines a subclass of cl_gui_alv_grid so you can access the protected attributes / methods of that class.
You don't need to add the class via SE24 -- done fron this ABAP.
When you run it click Edit for the first time.
After editing data press ENTER and the break point should bring you into the relevant method.
Code developed on NW2004S trial version but also works on rel 6.40 on a "Real" system.
The code should work without any changes on any system >=6.40.
All you need to do is to create a blank screen 100 via SE51  with a custom container on it called CCONTAINER1.
The rest of the code can just be uploaded into your system using the SE38 upload facility.
When running the program click on the EDIT button to enable the edit functionality of the grid.
Change your data and when you press ENTER you should get the break-point where you can see the original table and changed rows.
This program is actually quite general as it covers Dynamic tables, building a dynamic fcat where your table fields are NOT in the DDIC, intercepting the ENTER key via using an event, and accessing the protected attributes of the cl_gui_alv_grid by defining a subclass of this class in the abap.
I've seen various questions relating to all these functions but none in my view ever answers the questions in a simple manner. I hope this simple program will answer all these and show how using OO ALV is actually quite easy and people shouldn't be scared of using OO.
Have fun and award points if useful.
    Cheers
    Jimbo.

    Hi there
IE7 doesn't give me the add new page option and I get 404 error when trying to access the "How to contribute" section.
I'll load up Firefox later (this browser usually works when IE7 doesn't always work properly).
I'll copy the stuff to the wiki when I've got the browser sorted out.
    Cheers

I prepare chronologies in word, and I am trying to do the same in pages using tables and cells. But sometimes I need a cell to wrap onto the next page because the contents are bigger than the page or the space left on the page,  but I can't work out how to do it - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

What are the different opinions on why pages should not achieve this?
As far as I know, Apple is free to choose to offer this or that feature.
They never said that they want to clone Word or even compete with it.
Differences between tables in both worlds are numerous.
    In Pages (or Numbers)
    - we can't sort a single column
    - we can't sort by row
    - we can't insert or remove a single cell
    - a cell can't cross pages boundaries
If I understand well these design choices match :
    ++-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-++
    Apple Human Interface Guidelines:
    Apply the 80 Percent Solution
During the design process, if you discover problems with your product design, you might consider applying the 80 percent solution‚ that is, designing your software to meet the needs of at least 80 percent of your users. This type of design typically favors simpler, more elegant approaches to problems.
If you try to design for the 20 percent of your target audience who are power users, your design may not be usable by the other 80 percent of users. Even though that smaller group of power users is likely to have good ideas for features, the majority of your user base may not think in the same way. Involving a broad range of users in your design process can help you find the 80 percent solution.
