A reasonable .sig request?

HI all,
About once a year I post a request here for a .sig facility on these fora.
I know these things can be abused, but there is light moderation on the groups and people who
feel the need for 57 line sigs can be gently shown the error of their ways...
It's a pain to have to always remember to cut and paste "SELECT * FROM V$VERSION and
other bits and pieces.
10 lines for those who want it?

And I'm sure if a client like Oracle requested (what I think is) a tiny feature, I'm sure it
would be given due consideration by Jive.
Not when the version of Jive being used by Oracle forums is out of date and unsupported. And you know this how? Not that I'm doubting you, you understand, it's just that such
information is hardly a credit to Oracle, and at the risk of sounding boring, it's hardly
a credit to Oracle that their own software can't run a relatively feature-limited
peer-2-peer website - either with Apex or Beehive...
Maybe it should tell us all we need to know about what Oracle thinks of those
who volunteer to provide a tier of support that would otherwise be unavailable?
That would be like someone asking Oracle to just make a few tweaks and patches to Oracle 7 for them.Funny that you should mention Oracle 7 - Mogens Norgaard (he of OakTable (site) and
oracle Insights (book) fame) says on page 92 of that book that "Most customers
really only need Oracle version 7.3 with respect to features... new features being
introduced are either refinements on existing ones or features needed by the
UPS's and eBay's of the world"...
Seeing as one can run Jive on MySQL (what fraction of the Oracle 7.3 does it have again?),
it looks like Mogens is right in this case anyway.
As a matter of interest, were Oracle running the MySQL version before they purchased
Sun?

  • HTTP server code 400 reason Bad Request explanation Bad Request

    hello everybody,
i'm working with SAP PI 7.1
    I designed my interface IDOC-PI-HTTP.
when i send idoc from R3 i see this message in PI monitor:
HTTP server code 400 reason Bad Request explanation Bad Request
i tried to configure a HTTP port in SM59 and use it in my Communication Channell,  but when i test connection i have same error.
    I'm using a https address.
    have you any suggestion?
    thanks
    Alex

    Hello,
I already verify with 3 party developer. He confirmed me he is expecting i send data by POST.
Yes, but how does the HTTP Body looks like?See sample webservice below:
http://ws.cdyne.com/delayedstockquote/delayedstockquote.asmx?op=GetQuickQuote and scroll down to see how an HTTP POST looks like
    Content type is a String
Normally, the content-type for an http post is application/x-www-form-urlencoded. But then, you need to know the prolog and epilog in the http body.
he gave me a url address https://.......
where i need set the parameter HTTPS??
https (http with ssl) is configured in mm59 type G (external server). To enable https, you need to select the SSL folder in which you have installed the CA (certificate authority) certs. Make sure that once you have installed the CA certs, you have performend an ICM Restart.
    Hope this helps,

  • Session is being torn down. Reason: User Requested

    Hi,
I have an issue with a Site to site VPn using IPSec.
I have several tunnels all configured the same and this is the only one with the isssue. looks like the VPN is dropped whene remote peer pings the internal IP (172.16.30.88). Tunnel drops after 7 - 8secs.
I got this message when enabling isakmp debug :

  • Reason for request rejection

    Guru's,
I am using OIM 9.1 , and I want user to provide a reason for request rejection... i want same to reflect in Email for Rejection. Please share some information with me.
    Thanks,
    Hemant.

As everyone says that you can use OOTB Features for Request Comments but :
Those comments won't be mandatory (it's optional)
Anyone can add comments there (Beneficiary/Approver/Requester), how will you find out which one is Rejection Comments.
To avoid such issues, some people have done UI Customization for storing Rejection Comments in different format and to make those comments mandatory.

  • Top 10 Most Reasonable Feature Requests for BlackBerry 10.3

Real DNA wrote:- In this post I am going to list some of the most reasonable features that I think would be doable and useful for the next installment of the BB10 OS. I'm going to leave out any concept-like ideas and or major overhauls and focus on things that I feel could become a reality.
    1) Ability to hide shadow boxes around app icons on home screen
Michael Clewley already hinted that this ability would be in 10.2.1, but during some of the leaked builds and announcements, it doesn't really seem like it will be coming in this release. If it doesn't come in official builds of 10.2.1, then it should be very likely to appear in 10.3. In the meantime, an easy way to get rid of the shadowboxes is by using a dark or black wallpaper
    2) Ability to adjust App grid sizes on home screen
Following up on the first point, so far there are 3 app grid configurations for BB10 devices: 3x4 on Q devices, 4x4 on the Z10 and 5x4 on the Z30. Having the option to pick between those layout and potentially adding more (3x3 or 5x5) seems like something doable. Now for Q devices it might seem like something a bit unnecessary considering the already cramped screen size, well you would be right in thinking that except for this...is an image I will post in my album.
Granted, that's a bit impractical, but it was pretty nice having the option to basically have 4 or 6 columns. Since they've done it before and the BB10 phones have bigger screens, why not?
    3) Ability to hide icons
Another feature from legacy devices was the ability to hide redundant or just rarely used icons from sight. It would certainly be a good way for me and other people to not have a folder like this...also an image.
    4) Limitless Folders
BlackBerry, why are we limited to only 16 apps per folder? Something like this is pretty simple since you could literally put EVERY SINGLE app you had in one folder in PlayBook OS and BB7. (I've done it before)
    5) Customizable Fonts
Something I that I think was a bit underrated in legacy devices was the ability to customize fonts. I loved having a crisp and professional Times New Roman font or Sans Serif when I wanted to play around and experiment. I don't have a problem with the standard BB10 "Slate" font, but options are always nice.
    6) Customizable LED
I know this is something a lot of people have been wanting for a very long time, so 10.3 might finally be the time for it. There are plenty of very good apps that do this, but when I realized that LG's Android JellyBean skin on the G2 had the ability right out of the box, I figured now would be as good a time as any for BB (who's most notable for the LED notification light) to have it built in.
    7) Battery Saver Mode
Z10 owners, I know you would really appreciate this. Introduced in BB OS 7.1 was a battery saver mode to help increase the longevity of your device when it gets to a certain percentage. And with me having a Curve 9350 with a measly 1000 mAh battery at the time, this was a life saver.

I would be able to squeeze out a couple more hours of extra use with the mode enabled at 40-50%. For Z10 owners especially, this feature could potentially wipe out one of the biggest or only real major flaw: the battery life. This could also be great for the Z30 and Q10 owners already getting stellar battery life.
Universal Dark/Light Theme and Dark Hub option
This one would be huge in terms of aesthetics and potentially power saving. (Form and function at its finest) For all users having the ability to customize all of the native apps or specific ones to be light or dark adds a nice amount of customization to the devices. Having a Dark hub seems like a great way to increase battery life even more especially if the device is used mainly for communication. If you spend most of your time in the hub anyway, you might as well preserve battery life while enjoying the sleekness it brings.
    9) Landscape Home screen, Peek, and Flow
I'm not going to mention the fact that the PlayBook and Torches could do this because that would be beating a dead horse. I, however, will mention two great benefits it would bring:
    1) Playing games, watching videos, or typing using the landscape keyboard layout - Its a minor annoyance to have to turn the device back to portrait orientation or have to leave the app completely to view where and who my notification is from. BB Flow is arguably a way to differentiate from the normal way of doing things, the "in and out paradigm" if you will, so having this essentially nullified when the device is in landscape just seems counter-intuitive. Keeping the flow consistent enhances the user experience and it just seems more cohesive overall. Also its a bit weird returning to the home screen while your device is in landscape and its set to portrait. Granted the actionable notifications help, but the full solution is best.
    2) HDMI out/ Miracast "Mobile Computing" - One of the things that former CEO Thorsten Heins really talked about was the ability to simply plug into a monitor and have your phone truly be your home/ office/ mobile computer. That's great, but it doesn't really work when my output on a widescreen monitor only takes up maybe a third of the screen real estate (not that big a problem for Q devices). Having a landscape home screen just makes sense if you use or potentially want to use your device for something like that.
    10) Android 4.4 Kit Kat Application Support
BlackBerry is pushing this Android runtime really hard as far as getting more apps and making sure they run as smooth as possible, so it just seems like a no-brainer for them to stay as up to date as possible. Considering the BB10 upgrade cycle 10.2 in September/October and 10.2.1 in January/February it should be expected that a 10.3 release would be in Spring or an early summer. By then Android Kit Kat should have a decent amount of marketshare among android users, so most apps should be updated to support it by then.
That's my list so feel free to tell me what you think or if I missed anything REASONABLE. Some honorable mentions would be customizing the bottom dock, an equalizer, further pull down enhancements and integration with Skydrive and Google Drive in the native file manager.
    Khalilullah

    - ability to choose deletion of an email on handset only
    - desktop software working with all older BB's allowing drag and drop type of transferring data, contacts etc. (BB link doesn't recognize my old Storm)
    - auto power on/off
    - contacts syncing with yahoo & Outlook (almost two weeks trying to work around it and no luck)

  • How to achieve parallel processing in a single request?

    Hi all,
I have a method in a Session EJB that will perform some business logic before it returns an answer to the client. The logic it will perform is to collect data from the applications database and two external systems, before sending all data to a third external system to get a response and send it back to the client. Each external system is quite slow so I would like to do all the collecting of data concurrent, parallel processing. How should I handle this? I'm not allowed to create my own threads in EJB's. Can I use MDB in some way? To the calling client this should be a synchronous call...
    Greatfull for any suggestions
    Cheers
    Anders =)

Usually, the request is received by a component located in the web container, such as by an HTTP request (including Web Services). This component is able to start threads to allow parallel processing. Now, if for some reason the request arrives directly at EJB level and that you cannot move its receiver to web component, I think JMS is not a viable solution because you will switch to asynchronous processing and you have no way to make your EJB wait for the responses while preserving the client request (waiting implies programmatic life cycle management, which is forbidden in EJB container). Maybe a resource adapter (JCA) can bring a solution. A resource adapter acts as a datasource (a datasource is a specialization of a resource adapter) and thus it is a logical way to implement an adapter to an external, eventually non-J2EE, resource, as the name implies :) But I don't have enough knowledge in JCA to be sure of this.
    Hope it helps.

  • Feature Request : Router to Router VPN support

I realize this has been highlighted earlier as not being supported currently, but it would be very useful to allow additional subnets into the NM sphere (my assumption would be one Home network and additinal subnets treated as foreign networks).  Any clues as to whether the PN platform would be flexible enough to support this (in the future), for example with the facility to add subnet ranges as an additional option?  I think some basic assumptions would have to be made (e.g that NETBIOS is supported to allow identification of devices)
My main reason for requesting this would be to get an overview of resources available at the other end of the VPN (file servers, printers etc.) - currently I have to do this with an addional application.
    Look forward to your thoughts,
    Simon T.

Hi, at this time NM only can scan inside your local subnet, but that sounds like a good idea.
    My Cisco Network Magic Configuration:
Router: D-Link WBR-2310 A1 FW:1.04, connected to Comcast High Speed Internet
Desktop, iMac: NM is on the Windows Partition, using Boot camp to access Windows, Windows 7 Pro 32-bit RTM, Broadcom Wireless N Card, McAfee Personal Firewall 2009,
Mac Partition of the iMac is using Mac OS X 10.6.1 Snow Leopard
Laptop: Windows XP Pro SP3, Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG, McAfee Personal Firewall 2008
Please note that though I am a beta tester for Network Magic, I am not a employee of Linksys/Cisco and am volunteering my time here to help other NM users.

  • Standard Report to see reason for no accounting document

    Hi All,
We have performed a material movement with value. While forward movement the accounting document was created but while reversing the same, there was no accounting document.
I want to know what is the reason for accounting document not been created. Is there a Standard Report to show the material documents with no accounting document and also the reason.
    Request your quick help.
    Regards

    Hi,
    There is no such report.
The accouniting document is created based on some basic concepts of material valuation.
    Please explain your scenario.

  • Invalid request for a change in window state

    Ok...
Creating a JSR168 portlet and it works fine in Pluto, but I get the following when I deploy to P7:
ERROR: Content not available. REASONE: Invalid request for a change in window state
Here is what the portlet is supposed to do:
    * Display a form
    * User clicks find
    * Lookup is performed
    * Window state in processAction() method of portlet is changed to MAXIMIZED
    * I'm guessing this is where the error is occuring
I also think that for the TableContainer, I have some sort of attribute incorrect having to do with one of the channelsIs values.
I tried toggling them one way or another without any effect.
    Suggestions?

Ive run into this issue also. I need a way for a portlet to change to its maximized state for the purposes of user registration. Is there anyway this can be done? I know that sun jsp "Providers" which are shown on their example desktop, have some sort of maximized state that they can go into, but im not sure how to use this in a portlet.
There seems to be very inconsistent support between the proprietary sun provider api, and the portlet api.

  • Making the request invisible in CUP 5.3

  • Vacancy Reason " Renovation" in RE-FX

    Hi,
We are in ECC 6.0 and use RE-FX Solution .The business requirement is that system should not allow leasing the facility ( Rental unit ) during its renovation period.
I have created a vacancy reason " Renovation " in IMG and chosen the Rental sub influence as "error before automatic overwrite". As per the help documentation, the vacancy reason should not allow to lease the rental unit for a period against this vacancy reason.
To test the process, I created the vacancy reason in Occupany tab of the Rental unit for a period and saved it. But the system is not showing any error message even though i attach the rental unit to a Occupancy lease contract.
Am i missing any other setting ?
    Enjoy...
    Siva

    Hi Verman,
Thank you very much for your reply.
I have already tried this option. it is working on one system whereas with the same settings, it is not working. if i create a Lease contract in the same vacancy period, for example, it is not giving the error.
But after the vacancy reason is created, the offered object of the RO shows the availability only after the end of Vacancy period.
After creating the Lease contract, If you display the Rental Object , it shows that the Rental object is  occupied by the RE Contract in the occupancy tab. i.e it is overwriting the Vacancy reason.
Request your expert opinion. I heard there is some setting wherein the occupancy settings are overridden. I am not sure where are they ...
    Enjoy...

  • Feature Request - Fonts to Curves

Apart from the UI issues of Acrobat DC, one feature I would like to see added is a button that converts fonts to curves.
The watermark / flattener preview method is unacceptable and clunky in 2015.

There is a single fixup in Acrobat DC Preflight under the Document category entitled “Convert fonts to outlines” that will do exactly what you want. No reason to request a feature that is already there!
That having been said, there are very few good reasons to convert text to outlines other than for very specialized artistic effects and you wouldn't be doing those in Acrobat anyway.
We are aware of various “print service providers” who are under the distinct wrong impression that converting text to outlines is somehow more reliable that leaving text as text realized by fonts. Other than some dicey, prehistoric RIPs based on non-Adobe technology going back over fifteen years or more, we are not aware of any problem during the RIP process due to fonts. If the font is embedded in the PDF and view correctly in Adobe Acrobat, it should RIP! If you have a “bad font,” you won't be able to view the PDF file in Acrobat nor will converting text to outlines even work.
There are also many downsides to this Luddite practice. You lose the hinting of the font and often end up with overly bold printed output, especially with fine detailed serif fonts at text sizes. The PDF files become very bloated. RIP and even display performance suffers terribly.
Adobe specifically advises end users to avoid print service providers who demand/require PDF files with so-called “outlined text!”

  • Transport request failed; recollected with new TR;what happens to first one

    Hi,
I released a transport request and requested that the request be transported to the testing environment.
I received a message from Basis that the transport failed. I suspected that it might fail because I say many duplications in se09.
To fix this problem, I basically recollected the objects carefully and under a new transport request number; and released it.
I have requested that the Basis team move the new request to the testing environment.
    1. What is wrong with what I did?
    2. If the second request successfully gets moved to the testing environment, what becomes of the first request which was released, therefore no more available in development for me to delete? I tried to delete it under the "Released" section in se09 but got a message that it is not available to delete.
    3. Could I have used the same Transport Request number the second time around, although the first number had been previously released?
    Thanks

    1. What is wrong with what I did?
It depends, did you check the Log.
Log should tell you why it failed or atleast give you some hints.
Ex : Missing objects ..might have been locked in an other request.
    2. If the second request successfully gets moved to the testing environment, what becomes of the first request which was released, therefore no more available in development for me to delete? I tried to delete it under the "Released" section in se09 but got a message that it is not available to delete.
If the second request contains similar objects to the ones in first, everything will get overwritten in the target system.
    TR1 - 10 Objects
If TR1 returns RC=8 due to one object, 9 objects will be successfully transported. You may only transport the failed one in the next request with its corrections.
    3. Could I have used the same Transport Request number the second time around, although the first number had been previously released?
Yes, same released request can still be imported more than once but it may result in the same.
Try to find the reason the request failed, accordingly add objects in the next corrected request.
You can also copy requests into an other.
RClick on the request - Include Objects ( Ctrl + F11 ) - Enter Request Name.

  • Jabber 9.1 Windows - 3 simple questions

    Hi,
    Jabber 9.1 for Windows
    CUPs 8.6.4
    Q1.  Computer & Phone Control
User logs on to Jabber client from own PC - only has 'computer' control for phone.  Does not have option to switch to desk phone.  When user logs on to another PC with Jabber client installed, deskphone is enabled and option to switch to computer is not available.  Would this have anything to do with the a webcam installed on users own PC ?
    Q2. Phone Screen Pop - Suppress ?
Is is possible to suppress the Jabber client popping the phone screen to the front on a per user basis, some like it some don't.  Is there a keyboard shortcut to minimise this screen or where will I find keyboard shortcuts for Jabber for Wins ?
Q3.  Webex & Incoming call on Jabber
When using Webex, some callers still ring through, all Webex particpants can see who is ringing.  Is there a way to suppress this, other than busy out the phone ie to VM when on a presentation ?

    All good questions.
    1. The webcam should not impact this. Start by looking at Help > Server Health and seeing what's different. The softphone comprises of a TFTP download followed by SIP registration to CUCM while deskphone control requires a CTI connection to CUCM. If it was the same user on different computers I would start by disabling firewall/HIDS software to see whether they could be playing a roll. If that doesn't get you there then it's likely time for a TAC case unless you want to take a stab at reading the logs yourself.
2-3. Not to my knowledge though I have heard this from others. I have heard others ask for the do-not-take-focus request before but suppressing toast (while logical) is a new one. Both of these are reasonable enhancement requests. You could raise them on the Collaboration User Group, where product management generally pays attention, to see if they are already being tracked. If not the only process for an official Product Enhancement Request would be through your Cisco AM.

  • Re: [iPlanet-JATO] Re: session timeout when not submitting to a handler

    Mark--
I know what's happening here, but am curious about your approach. You said
in an earlier email that you were generating links directly to JSPs, but
from what you are describing, you are generating JATO-style links to access
JATO pages. Nothing wrong with that, but there is a signficant difference.
Actually, it just occurred to me, I'm wondering what your URLs look like.
The way the request dispatching works in JATO is it ignores anything after
an initial "." in the final part of the URL path. For example, a request
for "/myapp/module1/MyPage.jsp" doesn't actually try to hit the JSP, instead
it tries to hit the JATO page "/myapp/module1/MyPage".
The end result is that you may think you are accessing a JSP directly, but
are instead accessing a JATO page. The reason the request dispatching works
this way is because it is illegal to access JATO JSPs directly, and there is
actually a (disabled) JATO feature that piggybacks on the use of the
    dot-delimited URL.
So, now I need to understand your intent. I wasn't really sure why you were
generating direct JSP/page links to begin with. This works against the Type
II architecture JATO uses, in which all JATO requests go back to the
    controller servlet.
If you are trying to design something like a menu page, you may have thought
that it was burdensome to create a number of HREF children, plus implement
event handlers for each of them. This definitely would be burdensome beyond
just a handful of links, but this is why JATO provides other mechanisms for
doing what I'll call here "polymorphic HREFs".
Assuming this menu page scenario, the easiest thing to do is to simply use
one HREF child on the page, and add a value to it each time it is rendered
that distinguishes it from the other instances on the page. In your event
handler for the HREF, you simply check this value and use it to decide which
page to forward to. You can add a value to an HREF or Button by using the
"addExtraValue()" method. Or, if you are using JATO 1.2, you can add extra
query string NVPs right in the JSP document using the "queryParams"
attribute of the <jato:href> tag. Thus, your one HREFchild and event
handler become "polymorphic" because what they do depends on the context in
    which they are invoked.
Now, I still don't have confirmation that this is what you were trying to
do, so until I do, let me explain the exception you're seeing. JATO assumes
that when a request comes in for a page that includes the pageAttributes
NVP, it is a request coming from a previously generated JATO page. Because
of the way JATO works, this means that the request dispatching code should
send the request back to the originally rendered page. For example, if Page
A renders an HREF, which the user then activates, JATO sends the request
back to Page A for handling. All of the HREFs and forms generated during
rendering of Page A actually refer back to Page A, regardless of where those
links or buttons actually pass the request in their event handlers/Command
    objects.
So, what's happening when you include the pageAttributes in your HREFs is
that JATO is assuming that a request is being sent to the target page, with
the assumption that the target page has a mechanism in place to handle the
request. This assumption relies on the specification of the "originator" of
the request being specified in the request. For links/HREFs, the name and
value of the HREF is sent along with the request. For forms, the name and
value of the button that was pressed are sent in the request. JATO uses the
presence of these name/value pairs to decide which event handler, or which
Command object, to invoke to handle the request.
The exception you are receiving is saying that there was no object on the
target page that indicated it could handle the request. This is to be
expected, since you have not specified a query parameter that indicates
which CommandField child is responsible the request. However, this is where
I see the disconnect, because that is not what I believe you were trying to
    do (as explained above).
So now, given all the information above, can you tell me what you're trying
to accomplish, and whether or not the info I've given you has helped you to
design a mechanism more in line with a JATO approach? If not, given that I
understand what you're trying to do, I can offer a more concrete solution.

Initially we tried to add the pageAttributes NVP as well, but that
    was
causing an exception, so we stopped doing that. That's odd--what was the exception?
Our problem now is that when the SessionTimes out it does not go
    to
onSessionTimeout method as in processRequestMethod of the
ApplicationServletBase it looks for pageAttributes. If it is notnull
then only onSessionTimeOut method is called. This is sadly the only technique for determining if a session hastimed out
and a new one been created, versus the initial creation of thesession.
Is there any work around for this? Maybe you can suggest how topass
the pageAttributes without causing the initial exception?Definitely--let me know what the exception was and I'll be able tosuggest
something. However, it shouldn't really be any harder thanappending a
"jato.pageAttributes=" empty NVP on the HREF.

OK, here's what I'm trying to do: We have, like you said, a menu
page. The pages that it goes to and the number of links are all
variable and read from the database. In NetD we were able to create
    URLs in the form
    pgXYZ?SPIDERSESSION=abcd
so this is what I'm trying to replicate here. So the URL that works
    is
    pgContactUs?GXHC_GX_jst=fc7b7e61662d6164&GXHC_gx_session_id_=cc9c6dfa5
    601afa7
which I interpreted to be the equivalent of the old Netd way. Our
javascript also loads other frames of the page in the same manner.
And I believe the URL-rewritten frame sources of a frameset look like
    this too.
This all worked except for the timeout problem. In theory we could
rewrite all URLs to go to a handler, but that would be...
    inconvenient.
