A replacement of FormsCentral?

Will Adobe bring a replacement of FormsCentral in order to create forms?

I'm sorry I wasn't specific, George.
FormsCentral which comes with Adobe Acrobat XI will be uninstalled in the next update which is Adobe Acrobat DC. In the DC update the only way to create a form is by opening a file which is already on your computer or by scanning a document, it doesn't allow you to create a form from scratch like this: (example in this attached image, which let's you create from scratch). So I'm asking if there will be a similar program in the future?

  • How do I create a form in Adobe Reader

Adobe retiring Forms Central on July 28, 2015. I would like to know what other alternatives Adobe offers.

Adobe Reader cannot create PDF docs of any kind; you would need Acrobat for that.
As for the replacement of FormsCentral, have a look around https://forums.adobe.com/community/formscentral

  • If FormsCentral is retired, is there a new option to replace it?

I use forms central alot.  And 5 month notice is really going to mess me up this year, we've just built all new forms for out 2015 season.  Lord I hope this isn't as bad as it's looking to me.

    Hi sarabellemichelle and jguerriero1623,
We understand that this news was unexpected. Please see End of support | Adobe FormsCentral for information about what you can do to prepare for the transition. This document lists the steps that you can take in preparation for the Adobe FormsCentral retirement in July, including finding a replacement solution.

  • I am really disappointed in the decision to close Adobef Formscentral

I have really enjoyed using Formscentral over the past few years and am very disappointed in the decision to close it down later this year as I have found it an extremely useful tool - functional and practical.
Please express my thanks to the team at Adobe who have poured their time and effort to get this project off the ground and who, I suspect, are probably also disappointed in this decision.
Oh well no doubt another steep learning curve lies ahead for me - having done some research it looks as if JotForm might possibly be a reasonable replacement but I really wish that I didn't have to find out!!

Cognito Forms will support importing forms from FormsCentral starting early next week:
    https://www.cognitoforms.com/l/adobe-formscentral-alternative
Cognito Forms supports two-column form layouts, and all of the field types and skip logic rules in FormsCentral, but is completely free unless you are collecting payment.  The process of building a form is similar to FormsCentral and will be an easy transition.

    Hello Chalo,
There are many FormsCentral alternatives. Our solution, JotForm, has the most complete Import Wizard both for your forms and for your response database.

  • LiveCycle Replacement in CC

I cannot follow what has happened --
I have some forms used internally and mailed to customers that are 'filled' using XML output from some php routines I wrote. I need to update these forms but I am now using Creative Cloud and apparently I don't have access to Live Cycle Designer, except on an old machine I need to remotely log in to.  I just can't see how FormsCentral, now being withdrawn in July 2015 is a replacement, all I need to do is update the existing forms.
So the question is what have Adobe provided along with Acrobat Pro XI to support design of PDF forms that can be filled by importing an xml file?  Anything at all?
    Best,
    Peter

    Hi g_miles33!
I wonder the exact same thing. I need to load an extension on startup (that is, not by the user triggering a menu item), and I can't find a way to do it. Have you (it's been almost 4 months since you posted)?
Does anyone know if/when the InDesign SDK may be updated to provide these functions?
Or will a new version of the Native Application Toolkit (surprisingly) be released?

  • What's the most similar replacement for Adobe Forms Central?

What can I find to replace the simplicity and ease of use that was so wonderful about Adobe Forms Central?

JotForm has the easiest and fastest user intereface for creating web forms. JotForm has been around since 2006 and it has over 1.5 million users.
We are also providing seamless migration from Adobe FormsCentral. You should give us a try!

  • My annual subscription to FormsCentral that is expiring and I can only renew with another annual rate, how do I switch to monthly?

I want to renew and keep using the FormsCentral until I can transition to another service in the coming months, but I can't change my subscription to month-to-month, it is only letting me renew the annual subscription - which ends in June. Will I get a refund for the 8 unused months?

Thanks, Lawrence. I figured that was what I was going to have to do in the end. I have a few games with quite a few hours invested, and I worry that I'll lose the progress I have as they do not save to the cloud. I may have to bite the bullet, and just take the plunge to resolve this. I just want a way to easily transfer my "Home Computer" for my iPhone. My laptop is years old and in need of being replaced, and it's about time to upgrade my phone. These life events piling up are making me consider switching to a friendlier OS. I'm not using this as a threat. I just hope some apple high up will read this, and realize that we need alternatives. Life happens.
Thank you both Paul and Lawrence. I clicked "This helped me" not knowing it would remove the option to choose "This fixed my problem" too. For anyone else reading this thread. Using the guide provided has done both. It has helped me and given me a fix to my current problem. Lawrence has also provided me with the last bit of information I feel is missing from wjosten's guide. That syncing will completely erase all of your data and reinstall it in one fell swoop. It's a great fix. Even if it isn't the exact one I wanted. Thank you again!

  • Want to use FormsCentral Desktop App without having to log into Adobe ID?

I am trying to reset my FormsCentral so that it only using the Desktop App and not prompting to login to Adobe ID.  Can you please help me?
    Thanks,
    Joyce Miller

Joyce Miller is looking for the desktop icon for the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app. My machine was replace and now I can't find where to download that app either. There is reference to it, but no instructions where to down load the app. In January it was here: https://www.acrobat.com/formscentral/en/desktop-download.html
    But now it's gone.

  • Text Replacement

I have created a custom evaluation doc on FormsCentral, and I was wandering if there is a way to be able to replace a certain word that appears many times by only having to change one of them.  That may be confusing, I'll elaborate.  There are many places in the survey where I would like to put someone's name, however I don't want to have to go in every time and change each place individually.  Is there a way for me to change them all at once?
    Thanks

    Hi,
You can disply the actual text there in Master Data Tables. If you maintain any different seperate table for Plant Master data then using some Exit you can do it.
    Thanks
    Reddy

  • Since FormsCentral is retiring, is there a new site or a suggested site for my recent and future surveys and questionainers?

I would like to know if you are replacing FormsCentral with a new tool or if you have any suggestions for another tool/site we can use.

Fatos Yox I am using SeamlessDocs, it has been really easy to create our surveys and questioners using this, I would check it out.

  • FormsCentral Alternatives - Comparison Matrix :: Features and Pricing

I've started looking at alternatives to replace FormsCentral.  The process will involve some research.
I'm planning to create a spreadsheet comparing features and pricing.
    Has anyone already done this?
I expect many will benefit from this effort, so I will share a comparison analysis matrix when I have something meaningful.
So far, alternatives include more than Adobe mentions in their knowledgebase article.
Here's my list I have so far:
    https://www.zoho.com/creator/features.html
http://www.google.com/forms/about/ Google Forms terms of service may not permit collection of PII.  Form and data may be removed without notice by a bot???
    https://www.surveymonkey.com/pricing/
    http://www.jotform.com/pricing
https://www.formstack.com/pricing - Formstack has a forms importer that can ingest Adobe ForsCentral URLs. https://www.formstack.com/features/form-importer

Thanks for sharing the pricing comparisons, DTBartholomew. Director of Communications at JotForm, here.
One of the great things about JotForm is that it's completely free for up to 100 submissions per month, and only goes up to $9.95 after that.
Adobe was kind enough to refer their users to JotForm because it's simply one of the easiest options out there. Check out how to seamlessly import your FormsCentral forms to JotForm here. Also feel free to review a blog we posted about making the switch easier. We're incredibly grateful Adobe took the time to mention us, and we're excited to welcome all of our new users!
Of course, there are many reasons to want to use JotForm that go beyond the fact that we're more economical and easier to use than other form builders. Below are a few other exciting features.
    Key Features with JotForm:
Completely free for fewer than 100 submissions per month
The most advanced Form Designer (like nothing you've seen -- seriously, try this thing!)
A Theme Store that features something for everyone
    Includes skip logic
Hopefully this provides a little more insight into an easy transition from FormsCentral. I encourage anyone to reach out if you have any additional questions!

  • Will anything else be replacing the adobe forms central once it is canceled?

I use the forms central quite a bit and do not want to loose it, is there any thing else that will be replacing the form central?

    Hi jkcmxx00,
This document suggests several alternative options to Adobe FormsCentral: End of support | Adobe FormsCentral.
It also tells you how to repurpose your web forms and PDF forms for use with Acrobat.

  • Error while creating a Characteristic Variable with Replacement Path

    Hi all,
I am trying to create the Characteristic Variable ZVLOWDT (Low Date') with Replacement Path on characteristic ZSTARTDT (Start Date) and it gives the error 'Source to replace 'Low Date' is not defined.
I have created a User Entry Variable VAR_DATE (Start Date) with interval like '01/01/2009 - 01/15/2009'  and  Customer Exit variable ZVCPDAY (does some calculation based on the input of VAR_DATE) on the same ZSTARTDT characteristic. I want to get the 01/01/2009 (lower range date of the selection) into this Characteristic Variable ZVLOWDT. We are in BI 7.0 and the following are it's properties:
    General Tab:
    Description: Low Date
    Technical Name: ZVLOWDT
    Type of Variable: Characteristic Value
    Processing by: Replacement Path
    Reference Characteristic: ZSTARTDT Start Date
    Details Tab:
    Variable Represents : Single value
    Variable is: Mandatory
Variable is Ready for Input : unchecked
    Replacement Path Tab: Replacement Rule
    Replace Variable with : Variable
    Variable : VAR_DATE
    Replace with : KEY
Why I am getting this error, PLEASE ?
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Hi Khaja,
We could derive a Variable value from another Variable with out Customer Exit. There is a white paper.
First have the User Entry Variable (ZV_X) and it accepts the date range like '01/01/2009 - 01/31/2009'. Next create the Characteristic variable (ZV_Y) of Replacement Path for which source variable will be ZV_X and we could get the 'FROM Date' (01/01/2009) from the selection (ZV_X) into it (ZV_Y).
While creating the Characteristic variable (ZV_Y) of Replacement Path, I didn't find my newly created ZV_X variable in the list of available variables under 'Variable' header in 'Replacement Path' tab and it is causing the error  'Source to replace variable ZV_Y is not defined'. How could I create the Characteristic variable of Replacement Path, PLEASE ?
    Thanks,
    Venkat.
