A SAP BO reference book

Hi:
Could you suggest me a good and thick reference book for using SAP BO? Any online SAP documentary?
Thanks,
Alberto.

Alberto,
There is not better book then the online documentation.  Reading books on Enterprise Application systems is different then reading a C# or SQL book.  No one can explain you what to do in what circumstances in a book.
There are things that can be learnt only by experience.  The book on Amazon, I would say is not going to be helpful.  I have seen the book and it has nothing extra ordinary.
The e-learning curriculam and the online materials are the best resources at this time.

  • Report painter reference book

    Hi,
I looking for a step-by-step (details) report painter reference book & link. Any recomendation?
    Thank you

You can do a lot of reading on the subject but the readying tends to dry...
Another easy way to learn is to look at a SAP delivered report to see how the rows, columns, and its General Area Selection are defined.
For example, for a cost element/cost centre report, GRR3: display 1STD-001 in library 1VK.
Create a Z* report from copying an existing report, pay attention to the variables, version, and value type (1 = plan, 4 = actual)...
There are enough reports in the report libraries that will "guide" you to define your own.
    Best of luck.

  • ABAP Reference book

    Hi y'all,
Did anyone have pdf or link for this reference book?

Distribution of copy righted material on SDN is strictly forbidden, do not ask for it and do not distribute it.
If you want some good ABAP documentation provided by SAP for your use, see here.

  • Reference book

    Dear abapers!!
    Need your advice!!
im planning to take up sap certified development  associate (c_taw12_731) certification test so i was wondering whether a previous version reference book is  valid to use??
i have 2+ years of ABAP development experience.
im on a saudi arabian residence visa so i can take the test exclusively without training thats confirmed from SAP middleeast.
however i came across a 2005edition reference book & im wondering is it still a valid reference book for the test considering the updates in the technology.
    the 2005 reference book has  taw10_1, taw10_2, taw10_3.
                                                    taw12_1, taw12_2.
if yes, pls advice the topics its missing out compared to the c_taw12_731 syllabus.
    please suggest.
    Best Regards.

    Hi,
You can check the material that is covered at the SAP Training website:
    https://training.sap.com/shop/certification/c_taw12_731-sap-certified-development-associate---abap-with-sap-netweaver-73…
ABAP doesn't change much over time, so all the study material you can find will help you prepare.
Try to find as many (realistic) sample questions as you can. They are very good at helping you study
    Good luck!
    Paul

  • Good reference book

    Hi,
MII was introduced to our company just some days ago. So, the knowledge of the subject is quite poor. Now we're searching for a good reference book for MII to have good and quick support.
I'm wondering whether the following would be a good choice - well, we're just beginners in this moment ... :
<Implementing and Configuring SAP MII, SAP Press>
Propably you have a better idea!?
    Best Regards

    Hi Michael,
As per my knowledge This is the only book on SAP MII which is availble
It is a very nice book.
other than that I use to follow SAP MII Help.
There is plenty of documents and blogs available in SDN for SAP MII you can check out below URL

    Hope it helps !!

  • Anyone Recommend a Reference Book for Pages?

Specifically, I'm interested in a reference book for the latest version of Pages--just downoaded it from the App Store--for creating books to be exported to epub and viewable in the iBook app. I'm a print book designer of 22 years' experience, so I don't really need a beginners book on Pages unless it really, really covers making book for export to epub.
Preferably something I can read on my iPad in either the iBook app, the Kindle app, or even as a PDF. (A public doman--free--book would be really nice at the moment.
    Thank you.

You should also ask in the forum for Pages:

  • Oracle DBA perfomence tuning reference books

    Hi,
I am looking for oracle 10g performance tuning book.
So, could you please advice some reference books name especially for performance tuning that could be based on UNIX and can have examples of reactive and proactive database performance monitoring and solutions.
    Regards,
    DevD!

I confirm: the C.Antognini's book is the best one and very easy to read it.My personal opinion is that Cristian's book is the one of the best because it is written in the manner that everybody is capable to understand. I am very proud that Cris asked me to be one of the technical reviewers of his book and I really enjoyed reading every chapter. The best chapter by my opinion is his explanation of how one should read the execution plan - I have never seen a better explanation.
I think Millsap's book is not up to date. Why do you think his book is not up to date? The theory written in the book hasn't changed. And also the wait interface is still there and has the same problems/benefits, just more and more events are now implemented. What has really changed is the Oracle database which in release 10 and 11 finally started to use the "response time analysis" for performance analysis (v$active_session_history, AWR, ADDM..). But his book requires more time to study and one should return back several times to re-read some parts and really understand them.
Jonathan's books are excellent but they also require more time to really understand them. His books are not of those ones which you can read while laying in the bed with the flue.

  • Premiere Pro independent reference book

    Hi,
There are number of very good authors out there when it comes to Photoshop; Jeff Schewe, Martin Evening, Matt Kloskowski to name but a few. However I can’t find any good instructional/reference books when it comes to Premiere Pro.
The kind of book I’m looking for would describe Intermediate to Advanced techniques covering video ingestion to export but using Premiere Pro [CS6 or CC] as the Software medium, possibly including After Effects but not as the main subject.
The PDF manual for PremPro CC [and associated links] is great but no substitute for a well thought out reference book by an independent author.
The Adobe Classroom series are also quite good if you want to follow a step be step guide. Not much use if you want a detailed description of some s/w aspect, or think out of the box.
Can anyone offer any suggestions please?
    Thanks,
    Lyndon

Even if that were the starting point of every new PP user, it's still only part of step 2 on shooter's list.  Step 1 really should be done first when using software at this level.
We will have to just let that be a disagreement that can't be settled between us.
I didn't know anything about editing but I pretty much knew what my very first video should look like when I was done with it. It was instinctive, and based on other travel videos I had seen. I just knew that the other software didn't let me edit the way I wanted to edit, and Premiere did. Not that I knew the "right" way, just that I knew what I wanted to do.
Looking back on it now, I am not particularly displeased with the results. If I were to do it today I would have less dissolves and more straight cuts, but all in all it wasn't bad. And, more important, the family liked it. One of my older brothers tried to insult me a bit, as older brothers are sometimes prone to do, and said it was like watching PBS. What he didn't realize is that I would be thrilled by the comparison.
I have to assume that there are lots of other people in the same place that I was when I started. But nowadays it is easier to learn. Does it matter that I didn't know anything at all about editing? Not really. It came out OK.
As I write this I am trying to figure out exactly what might be meant by "Learn how to EDIT". Is that understanding how Walter Murch would do it? Or is there some other way to learn to edit? Tutorials? Books? If so, which ones?
What exactly do you guys mean by that and do you both mean the same thing? Is studying films or documentaries that you enjoy sufficient? I know it is certainly advisable. Do you really think that going to college is required to produce vacation videos good enough to post to YouTube for the enjoyment of your family?
But even that is often skipped by most of the people we're talking about.
I think that is actually the heart of the issue. Which is why I link to it so often, and I wish I could get everyone to agree to start almost all answers that are too general with a link to the tutorial.
John Smith does a pretty good job of posting some links. I wonder what would happen if it started with a link to the Eagle tutorial?

  • Reference book? Apple Training Series: Mac OS X Support Essentials

Can anybody comment on this book by Peachpit press?
Apple Training Series: Mac OS X Support Essentials, 2nd Edition
I am looking to get a decent reference book for the workings of 10.5. I'm not looking to get Apple certified, but would like to be able to troubleshoot and learn about the OS.
Are there any other books I should be considering?
    Thanks in advance.

I spent some time at Borders last night and ended up buying Apple Training Series: Mac OS X Support Essentials, 2nd Edition.
The Missing Manual looked like a great book, but I wanted something that had more depth of what is going on behind the scenes. Most of what is covered in the missing manual are front-end stuff like all of the apps, finder, dock, etc. There is one small section on unix which barely scratches the surface.
I liked the support essentials book because it goes in to details on administration including troubleshooting, start-up sequences, networking, etc.
    Thank you for the recommendation.

  • Reference book for Oracle Linux exam 1Z0-402

    Hi gurus!
Can you please give me useful reference books which cover the al topics for Oracle Linux Exam 1Z0-402 preparation?
    Thanks
    Mokarem

Can you please give me useful reference books which cover the al topics for Oracle Linux Exam 1Z0-402 preparation?By itself, 1Z0-402 does not grant any certification. Presumably you are going for Oracle Linux Administrator Certified Associate. That certification path also requires passing 1Z0-403. However, you can skip 1Z0-402 if you already have one of several other industry Linux certifications (LPI, Linux+, Ubuntu, Red Hat, or Novell). My recommendation would be to go for one of these certifications, then skip straight to the 1Z0-403 exam. I suggest that for several reasons:
    1. There is a lot more study resources for exams like CompTIAs Linux+ available.
    2. The other Linux certifications are better known than Oracle's.
    3. Since 1Z0-402 by itself does not grant a certification, going this route gets you two certifications for the price of one.

We are not supposed to use this forum for any commercial purpose, other than praising Oracle and exhorting people to buy Larry a new yacht by purchasing more licences, options, upgrades, support, etc :P
I think there's enough clutter on this forum already without encouraging people to post eBay links here as well. If you don't know how to search eBay, there's plenty of advice out there.

Dan Margulis is the best - either his Lab book or Professonal Photoshop.
The curvemeister on line class is another possibility - windows only.
