A simple import question about previously existing folders

I just bought Lightroom (so excited!) and am importing my photos. I already have a pretty significant organization of folders on my Mac for all my photos. Does Lightroom recognize all previous folders and I can just move them in bulk or do I need to import them folder by folder? Thanks!

Simply select Pictures or the root folder and in the import dialog choose "Add"
Lightroom does not hold images it will reference the folders and files on your hard drive or connected external hard drive.
Go to the Library menu and put a check-mark against "Show photos in sub folders"

There are no disadvantages as of now.. improve existing planning, forecasting, pricing
optimization and other processes

There is no limit on Stotrage: You need check how much Data you need on RAM (Real time processing) Storage.Minimum you can buy is 64 GB and multiple of it for (RAM)

YEs you can run HANA for 3rd party S/W or non-sap systems for your real time anlytics.
It has ODBC and JDBC both and you can combine it with other systems.

Important Question About Moving Files

Aloha DW Community
I need help/confirmation on this before i do it. I have
inherrited the website from hell; that meaning the folders on my
computer and on the server are very unorganized. There are images
all over the place, in places they just should not be stored. i am
getting ready to switch to a new service provider for the site so i
want to start as fresh as possible. i have already downloaded the
whole site from the server to my local computer. i have gone
through and deleted all the old files that are no longer needed.
now before i upload this site to the new server i want to collect
all the images that are spread about and place them in the same
folder. my question is this - if i gather all the images together
and upload the site, will dreamweaver correct all the link paqths
that have been switched around by me moving all the pictures? i
know DW does this, but i am not sure if it will do it on such a
large scale.
if you know the answer, please let me know.

Simple (?) question about KM Permissions

Is it possible to make a KM Folder writeable for end-user making sure at the same time that the end-user when viewing the folder is only able to see the documents he/she created/uploaded and not the content uploaded/created by others.
You can of course write a resource list filter to implement this, but my question is : is there a way to achieve this without programming, by simple configuration.

You can try for this if your requirement is for creating a Personal folder for your user.This Corresponding Folder will only be visible to the user based on his/her Userid.So the user can upload his/her documents to this folder and he/she alone will be able to see it.
Create a KM Navigation iview.In the path to the folder in the KM Navigation iview you can use the Userid as follows.
Path to initially displayed folder : <path from root..folder/<user.id>.So depending upon the user, the contents inside the corresponding folder is displayed.
Eg: all personal folders inside the documents/Personal folder.
Path to initially displayed folder : documents/Personal/<user.id>

A very important question about the HostSample-Help needed!

I'm trying to build a plugin for EM 12c ( 12.1.0.2 ) which suppose to monitor jmx mbeans .
I encountered during the README file which was packed with the EDK .
1. In the section where I try to use Flash builder ( ver 4.6 - that's the only release I found .. ) I folowed the instructions if how to run the example ( HostSample/HostSystem ) . When I run the example ( I installed the sdk's of Flash and everything that was written there - no problem )
in the web browser i got the login page , and put the parameters ( username, password ) as it said in the README - the same username/password as i log in to the EM console .Than I got an error saying " ... RPC fault string ..... Logging to management server ... URL:https.. host ( my host name ) : port ( my port number ) /em..."
Does anyone has a clue about this ? What am i doing wrong or miss something ?

To add a bit more detail. Before you run the application from FlashBuilder, open the same browser you will use to run/debug the application in FlashBuilder and install certificate.
Firefox:

The other alternative is to enable http access using "emctl secure unlock". This is not recommended for a production site.

Question about locking certain folders w/diff.accounts?

I'm about to let my girlfriend use my Mac, so I made a seperate account for her. I just don't want her going through all of my files and " stuff ". Is there anyway to lock certain folders in my account? I tried using parental controls but didn't find the file I wanted to Lock in the options.

When your girlfriend is logged in on her account your folders are locked to her. Your Home folders are only accessible from your account.

Some important question about JPA!!!

Hi there, I have a web application written in Java 1.4
I want to move this to Java 1.5 using JPA but after review old code I've got some stuck:
1. This application have a function that get Lists from a table:
Collection getList(String className, string tableName)
That do follwing tasks:
Get set of properties from class schema (by className)
Get record set from table
Each row of record set do:
- Create object and set properties value from column that named the same name of property.
- Add object to collection
Return collection
As my knowledge, in JPA, each entity class schema is mapped with a table schema. So, this function can't migrate. But in my application case, there are about 50 tables, mapping entities to each table is not good idea. Is there another solution?
2. In database design, a table have composite PKs that merge from many part, each part is a property of entity too, for example table User have column User_ID = Agency_ID + Deparment_ID + SeqNum. How I can map Agency and Department properties of User entity to the table User?

Simple beginner question about default tables (LOGMNR, etc.)

Hi all, I just installed SQL Developer and the Express server. I have worked with other SQL databases and with remote Oracle databases. But never been a DBA for an Oracle DB. I tried searching on LOGMNR and AQ$_, but couldn't find anything, hence this question.
If there is some online documentation that covers these particular tables and my question, then a pointer to that would be appreciated.
Anyway, I created a connection per the instructions and it seemed to work. But when I look at tables listview, I see a whole slew of tables. I assume these are all housekeeping/meta data tables (eg. information_schema in MySQL). Is this correct?
Also, short of manually creating a filter for each of the file types ("%$%"help", "LOGMNR%", "SQLPLUS%", etc.), is there an easy way to ignore these tables and just see the tables I want to create for testing purposes?
And I am curios why these all show up by default. Could it be that I am expecting something because of experience with other databases and am actually doing things the "wrong" way? Or is this just because I am using the Express Server? Or is there another (very good) reason for these tables to exist?

The complete oracle documentation is at http://tahiti.oracle.com. There is a lot of it, but Log Miner and Advanced Queuing have their own manuals. You should also consider starting with the Concepts Manual followed by one of the "2-day" tutorials such as "2-Day DBA"
What user are you connecting as? It sounds as if you are connecting as SYS or SYSTEM if you can see the dictionary tables.
You should create a separate user to connect as.
(create user myuser identified by mypassword;
grant connect,resource to myuser;)

Archive and Install Leopard - questions about "previous system" folder

now that i have done an archive and install for leopard I have a "Previous system" folder. In it is "Applications", "Library", "Private", "Users", and "System" folders.
Which can I delete and which must I save??

It is my understanding that after testing the installation done with an Archive & Install once you are certain that everything is working correctly the "Previous System" folder can be deleted in it's entirety.

Question About Previous iMac vs New iMac Display

I just purchased a refurbished iMac 27" a few days ago. It arrived. I am having trouble visually adjusting to the screen. I've done extensive research on this topic already and have seen others with the same issue. I have heard numerous reasons for the blurry vision, headaches, etc, some attributing to a gap between the glass and the display, or the glare issue. I'm considering downsizing right now to a 21" to see if that will at all help, but I noticed with the new iMacs, they are advertising the following for the display:
"You won’t want anything to distract you from what you’re viewing on these big, beautiful 21.5- and 27-inch displays. And nothing will, thanks to a new display design that reduces reflection by 75 percent. In addition, because the LCD now sits right up against the glass, your content seems to leap off the screen."

Full lamination has a second major benefit: It eliminates the reflection of light off the LCD panel and off the back of the display’s cover glass. But we also figured out how to reduce reflection off the front of the glass without compromising color quality. I recently had an eye examination done, and it came back perfect. This is the previous monitor I used: http://www.walmart.com/ip/AOC-931SWL/13890785
I get that it's completely different, but it didn't cause me any eye strain at all. I also tried calibrating the color, right now it's really warm, with less blue LEDs, and it's easy on the eyes, but it's definitely, still a problem.
I know that some people don't have any problem with them at all, but some others are having the same issue, but I am just trying to figure out if what Apple has done with the change in the new iMac is their solution to the problem.

Question about data file folders in Numbers

I have created a Numbers spreadsheet ot create acataluge of my books. The file is simply called Books.numbers.
I now find on my desktop two folders - Books.numbers.sb-be4ae974-2tdLVg and Books.numbers.sb-be4ae974-A7nKNd. The former has sub folders called Data, Index and Metdata. The other has a Metadata dubfolder and several Preview.jpg files.
What are these folders, and do I need to kepp them. Doe sNumbers always create such folders?

You may have a third party app on your system that automatically expands zIp files. If so, this app could be causing this problem because a Numbers document is in fact a Package file that appears to be a compressed file to some programs.

Very important question about fm record

I saw a Creative gb nano plus that says on the package that it will record fm. I want to record a show while working so can listen to it when I get home (like timeshifting on the vcr). However, I see that on this forum, the fm recording has been eliminated. My question is: )if the product package says there is fm recording, is there actually fm recording? 2)if there is no fm recording, please recommend another brand that has fm recording. Also, I want the fm recording to be clear, nearly as good as the original heard through the headphones. It gets very tiring to listen to a low bitrate recording. I'm not trying to change my account name, I'm trying to change the name of a folder. If you open up finder, then on the left you'll see the sections devices, places and search for. I'm trying to change the folder under places with the little house symbol next to it. Instead of being called Home like it's supposed to it has the beginning of my email address, which is emokidd21. I really want to change that because that's an old email account that I only use for itunes and instant messaging and I just plain old don't like the name. I really hope there is a way to change this!

Important question about my code

Okay so here's the deal, I have been working on creating the 6/49 lottery game and so far everything works fine, however I have one problem with how the program runs.
The instructions are as follows: The program generates 6 random numbers from 1 to 49, then it asks the user to input 6 numbers, and if they guess the generated random numbers they win a prize.
This is where the problem's at, the program generates 6 random numbers, let's say for this topic's sake : 1,2,3,4,5,6. Now if the user inputs let's say 12,34,56,6,9,11 the program should say 1/6 correct since the user guessed the number 6. However since the user entered 6 as the 4th number, it says that the user has gotten 0/6 correct!
Tell me what I'm doing wrong here please... here's my code.

Simple (?) question about Spry tabbed panel

Hi, I'm a bit of a noob at DW and am wondering if there's any way to open a link from within a Spry tabbed panel, and have the content load in the same panel.
I would have thought this would be simple, or even default behavior, but every target I try opens a new browser window or just loads it over everything in the current window.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
