A single Firefox window with many tabs will not appear, yet other new windows will?

I've had this problem a few times before. .
Whenever I start up the browser, the one window with most of my tabs, about 30+ of them stays stuck in the taskbar. I know that the pages are loaded, yet for some reason, which I think may be that a single page has prevented the whole window, with all of the important tabs from appearing, to be the case.
So I was wonder if there is anyway to fix this while saving my precious tabs?
I can open up new windows by right clicking on the stuck window in the taskbar, which I have done in order to ask for help on this issue. I hope that this is understandable enough, thanks.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

I can only open up one window with multiple tabs; right click "open in a new window" does not work. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled Firefox with same results.

Just bought a new i5 laptop and am transferring files, etc onto new box. Last night I had two separate Firefox windows up. I downloaded Nexus Ultimate late and rebooted this morning. I had to restart Firefox then, and it did not save my settings/tabs as I prompted it to do when it shut down to reboot.
I uninstalled Nexus and wasted many hours trying to resolve this, including two failed system restores (looks like Nexus is a dirty little bugger) Windows Explorer will open up multiple windows. Firefox will not. Help.

Once open, Firefox locks the Profile that is in use and you can not open another window with that Firefox version and Profile combination using the Windows Desktop icon or the Windows Programs list.

After Adobe Download Assistant is installed, you can start it at any time and select a product to download at the bottom of the window. The list updates as new products become available to download with the Adobe Download Assistant.

I have a issue When ever i click to private browsing All the open windows are close and make one only one window which is private Browsing i don't want this I using windows7 32bit when i have xp i simply open a new firefox window and make them private and later i see the feature add in firefox which is select a private browsing and its automatically open new window(Private Browsing) this is all fine but now in win7 this is not happening when ever i select a private browsing it will close all tabs and make new window Errrr I hate this!! The all tabs are gone i even try to open a new window and make a private it but the other open windows are closing Don't know why is this happening??

Firefox should open a new window if you use Firefox > New Private window and not close windows that are currently open.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Excise tab in not appearing in GR (new plant configured)

Hi Experts,
Excise tab is not appearing while GR posting.
I have configured a new plant in Sandbox server for testing purpose. Have done all required settings as under:
- New Plant configured
- Complete Excise related configuration done in Logistics General-> Tax on Goods Movement
- PR and PO created successfully. PO showing correct excise duty, cess, hcess, CST component etc.
- Material and vendor excise details maintained properly in J1ID
I guess I have missed excise related config somewhere in SPRO
please help !

SPRO ->> Logistics general ->> tax on Goods Movements->>India ->>Basic setting ->> Maintain Plant Settings)
###Check Excise Group created & assigned to new plant in following path:
SPRO ->> Logistics general ->> tax on Goods Movements->>India ->>Basic setting ->> Maintain Excise Groups)
For above setting also select check box of EI Capture and select check box of Post EI in MIGO

Firefox opens with many tabs

When I launch Firefox, I have a minimum of 4 tabs at the top of my browser window. I've tried closing them, then rebooting, but nothing takes them away. I tried to post a jpg of the printscreen of it, but can't post it here.

Please help! Looks like Mozilla customer service can not help me at all!!!!!! I need to know why I can not open a link to a new window. I can only open in my tab. I hate it. A pdf file will not display in a new window in FF12 (and many previous revisions)

There appear to be several different ways to display a pdf file from a browser. One is just opening another tab and displaying the file. This way works. Another option is a 'download' window will open up downloading the pdf file which can then be displayed successfully. A third way is that another external window opens with some application verbiage displayed which is then overwritten by the actual pdf file. This method does not work for me. I have to go to Chrome or, pardon the expression, IE, to get the pdf files displayed in this manner.
I have a jpg of the opened window with no pdf data displayed but I didn't know how to include it.

I work on two screens. With the new updates, my computer will not automatically open a new window on the second screen.

I work on two screens. With the new updates we cannot automatically open a new window on the second screen, but have to move them over manually. Not a huge problem, but because of the nature of the work, it gets tedious.

Thank you for your question, I understand that it is annoying to have to move a new window to the second screen. Since it opens in the active screen this may have been a stored preference, however it is not the default.
There is an add on called [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/monitor-master/ Monitor Master] that customizes settings like this. Check it out.

Links set in XHTML Transitional with target="_blank" are not opening in a new window. I have allowed popups and turned off ad blocker, but the links still open in the same window.

This is on a Wordpress install. Is there a Firefox setting I'm missing? Otherwise, I shall have to install a javascript plugin to do this, which seems overkill for what used to be common code.

I don't know how to delete my question, anyway I'm not having this problem anymore. In our organisation the IT department deploy Firefox updates with certain settings and limitations, in the tap-options the checkbox for opening new windows in new tabs where checked but disabled. They made some changes to make this checkbox enabled and now it works as expected if it's check new windows open i new tabs and if it's not in new windows. They never opens in the same tab as they did before.

IPhone will not appear in iTunes on Windows 7 (64) no matter what I do.

Ok, so I recently updated my PC to Windows 7 (64), and set everything up again using Windows Easy Transfer. Originally iTunes installed using the version which the Apple Downloader picked up and was working reasonably okay. However, whilst I was playing around with the PC, I noticed that iTunes was installed in "Program Files (x86)". So i figured it must've installed the 32 bit version of iTunes on the PC instead, so off I went and uninstalled and installed the 64 bit version from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1047
During that installation, I noticed it too installs to the x86 directory so I ignored it. However, this is where the fun started. At first I noticed that as soon as I plugged in my iPhone 4, iTunes would freeze up, effectively going into a "Not Responding" mode. This would rectify however immediately after unplugging the iPhone.
So after a few attempts and getting the same result, I started searching the web for a solution. After which I tried the following: Deleting the USB drivers and attempted re-install. Drivers were deleted successfully, however once clicking on "Check for hardware changes" the Apple Device never again showed up. I then opened iTunes again, plugged in the iPhone again, and now noticed that iTunes no longer froze, however the iPhone did not appear. From this point, here is a list of all the things I have done, from both folowing the support (http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/itunes/) and other people's advice:
- Tried a different USB port.
- Uninstalled all Apple drivers.
- Uninstalled all Apple Software, including Apple Mobile Device, Apple
Automatic Update & Quicktime.
- Searched the registry and removed all references for iTunes.
- Deleted all iTunes folders from the computer.
- Deleted AppData temporary folder from my profile.
- Turned off and restarted the iPhone.
- Checked for software conflicts.
- Restarted the computer after each change.
- Reinstalled Apple Automatic Update from a fresh download.
- Reinstalled iTunes using the Automatic Update application.
From here I started iTunes again and plugged in my iPhone. This time however I got a message saying something along the lines of "cannot connect iPhone, required software is not installed, this is a 32bit version of iTunes, please uninstall and reinstall the 64bit version of iTunes (this is a little confusing as I learnt earlier that you cannot install the 32 bit version on a 64 bit machine as you get an error during installation).
So, again. I uninstalled all of iTunes and associated software, downloaded the 64bit version of iTunes again - thinking the original version of the EXE was corrupted somehow during the download. After reinstalling, I plugged in my iPhone. It showed that the device drivers were installing, however at some point they failed. I then went back into device manager and uninstalled the USB driver and clicked on "check for hardware changes". This time the iPhone was found and appeared to install the drivers successfully when I plugged the iPhone back in... but low and behold, the iPhone was still not showing up in iTunes.
I have spent a good few hours on this, and am getting pretty frustrated. Does anyone on here have an ACTUAL fix for this problem?
The only thing I haven't done is do a factory reset of my iPhone, which I'nm hesitant to do, as I haven't had a chance to "export my purchases" off the handset to the PC as yet.

PS: Just out of interest, the iPhone still connects perfectly fine on my work (XP) machine.

I'm an applications developer and also run a part-time videography business. As such, I require more than 3.12GB of RAM. That is the physical limitation of a 32bit system. Pointless to stay on 32bit if you plan on having more than that much RAM.
I'm also not about to pay someone to fix my PC when I can do it myself. I was originally hoping for someone who had experienced the problem before to point me in the right direction so I didn't have to spend so much time trying to figure out what the issue was for myself.
Basically, in the end the problem was caused because right at the point in time when I chose to uninstall, and reinstall; Apple released a new version of iTunes. This version in turn had a requirement of iOS 4.2 to sync with the iPhone. This is a pretty embarrassing for Apple that they would release software reliant on other software before said software was released.
Had I realised I was downloading a newer version at the initial point of installation, this wouldn't have been an issue. I could've easily have rolled back iTunes to the previous version and gotten on with my life.
Another issue is that iTunes is not actually a 64 bit application. It masquerades as one to allow installation on the 64 bit platform.

Does anyone know how I can get the music from my ipod touch onto itunes in the new computer I just bought that has windows 8? Itunes displays the ipod and the music that is on it but will not back up to itunes and put the music in itunes

Itunes will not download to my new Windows 7 laptop

The download box opens (Run or Save etc) press run and it just sits there saying 2 days to download and then after a while gives up. I have checked for fragments of Apple programmes on the laptop, but have found none. Downloads from non-Apple places work fine. Can anyone help?

Perhaps try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different PC. (If you're on a 32-bit Windows system, try to download on a different 32-bit Windows system.) Copy the iTunesSetup.exe installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.

How can i open a link in new window (shift + Mouse Click) while not switching to the new window

You can do that with tabs, but not with windows AFAIK.

Favicon in DWT will not appear on other pages?

I made a Favicon.ico and placed it in my .dwt Template file.

When I view the template file on the net I see the favicon image.
But when I go to view the other pages with in the site I do not see the favicon.
I have checked and I see the code in all the pages but the favicon still does not appear.
The favico only apperas in the template .dwt file and no other pages.
