A single monitor for two computers

Can I connect both my new Mac mini and my old PC to a singe monitor?

If your monitor has two inputs (and most do) you can connect one computer to each input, and use the switches on the monitor to switch between the two. If one input is VGA and one is DVI (as is often the case) connect the mini to the DVI input - simply because it will look better!
No extra hardware required.
(Not quite sure what Tomo's concern is at doing this?)

Adobe CC or any perpetual previous version allows you to install & activate it two times (on the same computer or other different one).
As per End user license agreement, only one computer can be used at one given time.

Though I know that Company code is assigned at header level but still I know there is a setting in controlling which when activated two company codes under same controlling area can procure the goods under the same PO.But i forget from where to activate that message or control in config.

I'm just beginner so maybe I got the wrong end of the stick.
If you order something that something must belong to a definite company > plant. How could possess two company the same thing at the same time (totally)?
(companies are at the same organisational level - none of them is subject to the other).
Maybe I'm mistaken.
So I <b>guess</b> you can use only one company code for one PO.

NO internet in the network except for two computers after installing ASA 5505

Hi Guys,,,
I dont know if any of you guys had a problem like this... I installed a CISCO ASA5505 with 50 user license to my network as the gateway firewall. So ASA is acting as the gaeway router which is connected to a fibre circuit and also it gives DHCP to the network. The strange thing is that except for two computers rest does not have internet. I also have an asterisk phone system which works fine..
I tried everything.... static IP's DHCP, DNS nothing worked. But strange enough two computers works fine and have internet.. but are no special computers. One is Win XP and the other one is Win7. When I troubleshoot the problem in win 7 on one of the computers it says
"The remote device or resource won't accept the connection"
I have no idea now... any help would be great...

I hope the gateway of the comupters are configured as ASA.. Are you able to ping your gateway from the PC where you dont have access to internet and also check whether the translation is happening on ASA when you are trying to access the internet ( show xlate | i 'local ip'
It would be great if you could share the ASA config as well

Is a ATI Radeon X1900XT (512 MB) card enough to drive a single monitor for video editing

My son just given an older mac pro.
2 x 3 GHZ Quad Intel Xeon.
OSX Lion
The video card installed is an ATI Radeon X1900XT (512 MB)
Is this video card sufficient to drive a single monitor for video editing and basic graphics work in PhotoShop, etc?

Define a single scope for two Custom Lists

I have ran into a requirement where i have to create a single scope for two lists 'Employee' and 'Department' .
I tried creating individual scopes and they came up in the scope drop down . For this i gave the scope rule as below :
Both lists are based on Item content type . There are other lists that are based on same content type,Hence I cant create a rule based on CT .How can I create a single scope for both lists .

I am working on lock box file.where iam geting the payment information of customer.File contains record type as '1' '2' '5' '6' '4' '7' '8' '9' .They already developed a program based on standard programs like :

that program working for Single Payment for Single Invoice.It clear the invoice for Single Payment for Single Invoice.But when they are trying to run for Single Payment for Two Invoices then its not posting.How can i clear the Single Payment for Two Invoices .Is possible to clear the Single Payment for Two Invoices .Please do need ful help ASAP.

If the lockbox file being processed by RFEBLB00 has more than one invoices for a single check (i.e. multiple type '4' records for a type '6' record), the payment doc created will be for both these invoices.
Now when you clear the payment doc using FBRA or F.80, both these invoices will be cleared.

PSE 10 one program for two computers

Hello; my question is, it possible to use my PSE 10 that is installed on my PC and use it on my laptop via a home network ? downloading the program onto my PC is not an option. I once had it installed I had to replace my drive thus using the two allowed installs by adobe. I contacted adobe about another licence, they were not much help, they only wanted to sell me another program. thanks for any info on this matter. Paolo

You can certainly install PSE on two computers. If you have used both your activations and you no longer have one of the computers to deactivate it so you can reinstall on a new one, you will need to contact activation support:

You can often start a chat session right in that window and get things resolved right away.

External hard drive for two computers

I have two computers linked with Airport Express and am converting to Leopard. Can I back up both computers via Time Machine with one hard drive?

The Macbook Pro that is connected to the firewire drive saves its backup in a "Backups.backupdb" folder. The machines that connect over the network save their backups as sparse bundles that are mounted by the machines. I have never had a problem with two machines backing up at the same time. The caveat would be that the two networked machines do not have large changes, and so their backups are usually small.
I have restored from the backups to test the setup, and everything works fine... There is a lot of useful information on the forums about making this work, and steps to make it less painful for the initial backup.

the scenario is we have a situation
whre two material are made in two diffferent plants
but the customer orders these two materials in a single sales order
normally what happens is when ever tihis situation occurs, the material which is manufactured in plant B is sent to plant A and in plant A both the materials are consolidated and sent in a single shipment
we need to automate this process
when ever we enter both the materials the system needs to know that the second material which is manufactured in plant B needs to be sent to Plant A
and the delivery for the material in plant A has to wait until the material from plant B comes.
When you create sales order for two materials, the stock transfer should happen automatically.

why do you need the automation? i mean when you can solve it through standard..
you can go through MMSTO . as material is maintained in different plants and you ll be sending the goods through the Shipping point maintained at Plant A ( where material A is produced) right? but if you ve 2 shipping points the delivery will split but still you can send it through single shipment iff you ve a single transportation planning point... give a thought there is no need of automation unless the organisation say so...

One Time Machine drive for two computers

Okay I know that I can use one drive for my macbook pro and my iMac. But, I am wanting to keep both my computer connected to the drive, without having to disconnect one and then hooking up to the other. Is there a way for both computer to recognize the drive and pull from it for backups. Can a usb switch solve this problem or is there software that will work. Also if there is a way to do this I know that i will have to off set the backup time so that both computers are not writing to it at the same time. Thanks in advance,

you can't have a drive directly plugged in into two computers at once. what you can do is keep it plugged into one computer, back up that computer directly and back up the other computer over network (wireless or ethernet). you don't need to worry about overlapping backup times. the OS will take care of it itself.
