A single song in an album didn't download correctly.

Bought and downloaded an entire album off of iTunes. Album downloaded correctly, except for one song, which appears to only be half of the audio file. Is there any way I can redownload this particular track, or at least figure out why it's doing this?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

i recently purchased a few albums at the same time. i downloaded them and put them on my ipod. But later on i realized all the songs didn't download entirely and some songs didn't download at all. when i figured out how to report the problem on itunes. it told me that the item purchased was too old to report a problem on. it had been less than a week. so how long is too long? And once i bought the song shouldn't i be able to download it again. i probably downloaded 60 or 70 songs that day. it took me a while to see that it wasn't correct. does anyone know how to download these songs again without re-purchasing them?

Any song previously purchased in iTunes Store (including any that were "free" for a limited time), can now be re-downloaded at any time, as many times as you want. I have re-downloaded songs purchased YEARS ago, from the opening days of the iTunes Store, way before this re-download policy even existed.
You don't have to report any problem. Go to the main iTunes Store screen in iTunes. You have to be logged into your Apple ID (the iTunes account used to purchase the songs). On the right side of the screen, under Quick Links, find Purchased and click it. This takes you to the Purchased screen. Select the Music category and find the songs that are missing. You can filter by Not on This Computer, which may be a good way to do it in this case, since there are apparently songs that you have purchased that are not on your computer currently.
Once you have song on the screen, click the cloud button (with arrow) to download the song.

I just downloaded an album using the itunes store, but it was interrupted before completion. I came back, and clicked on check for downloads, and it came up with the rest of the album, minus one song. On the store, it can't be downloaded without the rest of the album. hiw do i fix it?

Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form linked from the bottom of their Download FAQ web page (I recommend that you use the form, not the link in your Purchase History as they advise; that's not proven to be very reliable) and explain the problem to them.

How to keep Single Songs out of Album View? iTunes11

What is the proper way to label singles so that Album View does not contain an 'Unknown Album' for each artist with at least one song?
You would think leaving the 'album artist' and the 'album' field blank it would not put that song in album view, but that is not the case in iTunes 11. This is how it works on my phone (4S) (iOS 6.0.1) .
A work-around is to label all singles with the correct artist and title, but label all singles with the same album artist (i.e. 'various artists') and with the same album (i.e. 'singles'), but if you did that iTunes will automatically move all the files from the correct artist folder into one giant 'various artists' folder. (if the 'keep itunes media folder organized box is checked)
What is the best practice to resolve this nearly useless album view function?

A cleaner solution is to create a playlist with your running albums, then update the other smart playlists with "Playlist" not in "Running Albums".
That way, you don't need to update each and every playlist when you add a new running album, you just need to put it in the Running Albums playlist.

If you are trying to do it from an iPad, it is not possible. But, if you log into your iTunes account on a PC or Mac, you can gift a single song by clicking the little triangle, as pictured below.

I have an album with 12 tracks in it but the Number 1 track some how got left out. Now I'm trying to drag it to the Album in album view but it won't go in. I also went to get info and told it was a compulation and re-named everything to match and it still won't go. Why is this SIMPLE thing so hard to do. WHY.
You might ask why not just delete the whole album and start over. I would but I have to re-name all tracks by names because the CD is so old it only has Track numbers 1 through 12. This should be a Very Simple process just to add ONE song to an album. Somebody have a Simple way of doing this PLEASE.

Provided you are in a country where you are able to redownload past purchases, delete the songs from your iTunes Library.
Redownload them by clicking "Purchased", under Quick Links at the top right of the iTunes store.
