A Small Gap between the bottom of dispaly and the panel

Hai everybody,
It's been almost a week since i purchased the z1.As far i see it, its a good all rounder.
today i noticed that there is a small gap between the Display and the metal frame on the lower bottom (Front of phone) .
And dust also is gettin acumulated inside it , i wanna know if this is a manufacturing defect or is it provided to gve sm kinda shock resistance on impact while falling..
I have noticed some other Z1s also with sme kind of gaps.
It will be helpfull if somebody has noticed this, wanna know if this is a manufacturing fault or not !!

Hai there , jus came back from sony service center. They said the gap is not a manufacturing fault, all z1s have a small gap of 0.05mm yo 0.025mm, the gap is provided to help service personals to remove the panel (using tools) in case of any fault .

Is it normal for there to be a gap between the glass and bezel on iPhone 5?

As you can see, there's a really small gap between the glass and the rim (frame) whatever you want to call it. I can fit a piece of paper there, as u can see.
It also collects dust. It's annoying.
Is it normal and can it be replaced under the 1 year warranty? I bought the device just 2 weeks ago and haven't dropped it or anything.

Is anyone else seeing this on their phone or is it just me?

How to I get rid of the small gap between overlapping objects

Hi
I can't seem to get rid of a small gap/line between 2 objects I've used the shape builder tool on.
I do as follows:
1. I have 2 objects overlapping
2. I remove the red sektion, so I'm left with a pink circle and a red obejct inside, using the Shape Builder tool
3. If I place an object below the 2 objects, in the same color as the red object, I get a small line between the 2 red colors. It almost seems like the pink circle and the small red object is not aligned, but they are.
I've tried to turn off Anti aliasing and align to Pixel grid, but nothing seems to work.
Is there no way to have 2 objects on top of each other, without having the bottom one making a small line/gap?

Although I've seen a result like that before, I can't seem to reproduce it here now. It's one of the reasons I never use the Shape Builder tool to do anything that can be done without it.

There is, of course. There is also always more than one way to do something. It might be better if you cut the dark ellipse out of the light one completely using the more mechanical Pathfinder > Minus Front feature rather than inducing an "interpretation" with the Shape Builder.

How to give vertical gap between the cells of list components?

I have a list component

theList.rowCount = 4;

how can i specify vertical gap between the cells of List??

If I am not mistaken, you will need to open up the skin file of you list component from the library and then add the padding according to your needs. Have a look at this link:

The small gap at the top of the page

Theres a small gap in the top of the page, when I view it in
Layout View. Its got lines going across diagonally, and takes up
about half a centimeter from the top of the page. When I preview in
browser, my logo should be at the top left hand corner, but instead
theres a white gap going across the top. How do I get rid of this?

You need to zero out the margins and padding on the page.

I'm using a Canon HV20 video camera that uses digital tape. After importing to my Events Library in Final Cut X, there are some timecode breaks between clips resulting also in gaps between the clips. Is there a way to avoid this?

Hello cor-el, I apologize for not letting you know if your suggestions about my question worked or not. I came down with pneumonia and then caught the flu on top of that. Today I tried what you had suggested about disabling the hardware acceleration and it didn't make any difference. You had also gave me a link to he article about plug-ins and when I clicked on the list of the current plug-ins I have the following is what came up:

When I then clicked to see if there were updates available, the only one that it said was updated was the Shockwave Flash. The Windows Media Plug In Dynamic Link Library, said the status was vulnerable and the other three said the status was unknown. Does any of this make sense to you and are there things that should be on the plug in list that aren't? I apologize for the length of my post but I wanted to give you as much information as possible. X200 The gap between the LCD and frame is unacceptable

Hi, My roommate and I received x200 last week and both of our x200 have the same problem. The gap(1 mm) between the LCD and frame is unacceptable (the left and right handside and especially the lower side of the frame) and when you touch it, it feels like a plastic toy. I compare it with x61, x61s, T61 which belongs to my friends and they do not have that problem.
I am not sure whether this is a serious problem or not and whether we can fix it by ourself.

Well, about this problem, Lenovo asked me to go to some business partner to look for technician and the technician said that is not a techincal problem and it is engineering problem... They can not fix it.
And my friend told me that this is a normal problem maybe because lenovo change the material of the inside part of thinkpad.

You can try recovery mode:
1. Start iTunes.
2. Disable all security apps (firewall, antivirus, etc.) running on your computer.
3. Plug phone into a USB port on the computer, not an external hub or keyboard port.
4. Press both the sleep/ wake and home buttons until the Apple logo appears, then continue pressing the home button alone until iTunes detects the phone in recovery mode.
5. Follow the prompts to restore.
If this doesn't work, there is a hardware problem the need warranty service from Apple.

Issue with long gaps between lines in both Mail AND Address Book

Hey folks,
I'm having a weird problem... I've done a bit of research on here but I have yet to find my exact issue... I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this for me!!
This problem has been happening in my Address Book app for awhile now, but more recently started happening in Mail - there are long gaps in between lines such as Name, Date, Subject, From, ect...etc... Plus, in Mail, when I hover over the To and From names, the highlight bubble is really large! It's very strange... check out this screen grab...
I've tried repairing permissions but that didn't seem to help.
My Mail only did this after quitting the program and starting it back up, but now it does it all the time. Address Book has been having this issue for quite some time.
Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks so much for your help... To answer your question, yes I did research those topics but finding things in bits and pieces didn't seem to do the trick. Well, tonight I ran Font Finagler AND I reinstalled Library > Fonts from my OS X install disc... And low and behold, MY PROBLEMS ARE CURED!!!!
So thanks for giving me the link to those other posts which seemed to have all the info I needed.

Gap between Navigation area and top banner

I have a small gap between the navigation area and top banner
of my page design and I can't quite figure out what is causing
it... or how to fix it. Here is the page

You are simply missing a closing </div> tag.
Change this:

Xperia z3 D6603 concern over gaps between glass and frame.

Hello,
I recently upgraded my ion to z3. And there is no doubt that it's an amazing phone.
But I have some concerns regarding the small gaps between glass panel and metal frame. It gets dust and more over that I am worried about its waterproofing. I want to know is it normal for all z3 out there or is it just me? What if it can't handle water in this regard?

This subject has been mentioned many times before, from the Z all the way thru the models up to the Z3.......you have to have some uniform gap between the panels & the bezel...this is to allow some form of expansion due to temp changes, if you think about it.......if it was packed tight & the phone heats up the expansion would have nowhere to go resulting in damage. The gaps do not mean that you have a waterproof issue either.....
