A small set of features I'd like to suggest.

Ok, having the CS6 beta for just two days, I almost instantly noticed some small stuff which I consider to be a welcomed easement for users if it were to be fixed/included in the final version.
I just would like someone to read these and give them some thought ..
- changing order of effects in blending options - sometimes it sure would be handy if we could put color overlay in front of gradient overlay (..and stuff).
- ability to have only one color control point in gradient options - that way we could do simple transparency gradients (changing only the one color control point + two opacity control points instead of having to set the first color point, copy the color hex, select the second one, paste in the color hex, set the first opacity point, ehh.. )
- add an option to set the grid and guide transparency, instead of just 100% opacity lines/dots/whatever
- add one simple button at the top next to the main menu to switch on/off the grid/guides.
- visible base line of type layers and ability to align the type layers using it.
- a sub-menu for colors in the layer right-click menu, instead of having it together with everything else - bloat-ish style.
oh, and lens-flare filter preview with bigger/more precise space, to set the origin of the flare, would also be nice
And if someone has valid points about invalidity of my points, please just feel free to share them and at the same time enlighten and humiliate me ;D

I have a couple things I would add as well:
"An option to link/ unlink ALL selected mask layers, instead of having to go down manually doing it on each masked layer." that wouldve saved me literally an hour at work today.
My request is to have a "liquify all" option where you can essentially easily batch all selected masks or layers and apply a saved mesh without having to do it manually.
As a person who professionally uses photoshop for 8 hrs a day every day this feature would save me an easy half hour on many files. It also would cut down on the "mistakes" we make by missing one random but essential mask.
One more suggestion is to enable "warp" in transform to work with the "transform again" command as it is the only one of the forms of transformations that does not allow it.

Is there a specific place where to post desired phone features?
Anyway, the feature I would like to see in next series60 phones is the ability to set memory option for the Archive message folder independently of what is set for other message folders. So messages can be archived in the memory card while using memory phone for the incoming, sent, etc., folders messages.
It would be also useful to have (as others wrote somewhere) notification of expired events on phone startup and to set alarm clock to alarm everyday.
What're yours?

Hi Onig, Series 60 Feature Pack 1 (S60 FP1) already lets you set an alarm every day.

Where Can I Find The "Set Alert" Feature in Blackberry Messenger 5.0

I just upgraded my Blackberry Messenger from version 4.5 to 5.0.0.57 on my Curve 8310. However, in BB Messenger 5.0, I cannot figure out how to turn on the "set alert" feature that is available in BB Messenger 4.5 The "set alert" features allows you to know when an instant message has been read by the person you sent it to. This is an invaluable feature for me (and I believe for many other), hence I cannot believe BlackBerry removed this feature in BB Messenger 5.0.
Any help regarding this topic is greatly appreciated.

Honestly, I've never seen a setting for that. But, even with no such setting, I see the receipts just fine in all 1:1 conversations. Group conversations, however, don't show receipts -- and I don't recall any prior version showing such for groups.

I can't find any link to do this. I found a page where you can request songs or an album to be added, but i can't find a page to submit my suggestions for itunes i have for new features i'd like to see

As of now there is no good, direct link for feedback on iTunes itself. Writing Apple might be the best option, with the website feedback page perhaps the next best.

Features I´d like to have in Mac OS.

To be honest I tested the windows 7 for a week and I found one feature really amazing.
and it was shaking the selected windows to minmize all other windows.
I also liked the drag the window to the left/right side to make it half-screen. or drag the window to the up side to make it fullscreen. I think its really cool. its new and unique. very creative of microsoft.
But still, Mac > PC = true;
I think apple should also do the same thing with the next os.
Write here your thoughts about windows 7. or features you would like to have in next Mac OS.

This has nothing to do with iTunes as iTunes provides no way to move or relocate the backup files.
A search of google or the fourms would reveal ways to create a folder link to relocate the physical location where the files are stored.

How does this approach sound:
On the iPad, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
That will strip your iPad of all its information.
You can then sync your iPad to your computer using your computer's iTunes.

Exempt small set of users from ACE rules (PCUI)

Hello: we have a requirement to restrict access to data within the Lead
and Opportunity transactions for internal employees.
Our business rule is that only those employees that are a partner on
the lead, or on the sales team on the opporutnity, can have access to
the transaction.
This question is about a small set of users that need to be exempt from
this ACE rule: headquarters administrative personnel.
All users will use the PCUI user interface to access these transactions.
Can you advise: what is the best practice for exempting the
headquarters personnel from these ACE restrictions?
We have considered creating a separate, non-ACE-relevant security role
for the headquarters/exempt personnel, but are concerned that this
approach will be a security maintenance headache over the long term.

Hi Matthew,
A parallel layer to ACE is unnecessary. ACE can handle different set of users through the classified user groups. These groups can accomodate the Read/write/no authorizations very well. All you require to do is some configuration for usergroups and then some coding in OBF, AFO and AFU classes.

just some notes in addition to Ralphs answer: Your iPad is very useful to browse and show off your photos, i.e. the Retina iPad. You can sync to the iPad via iTunes or using the Photo Stream or a shared Photo Stream. But if you can browse and store all your photos on the iPad, will depend on the available storage on your iPad. Using iTunes you can sync events, albums, faces stacks, places stacks to your iPad. Not many metadata tags will transfer however.

Setting additional features of the serial port

I have to set some features of the serial port which are not settable with the
ordinary LabView examples or Vi's. What I am trying to set are:
XonLimit, XoffLimit and Mask RXCHAR RXFLAG TXEMPTY CTS DSR RLSD BRK ERR RING
How can I set these features?

Open the VISA configure serial port vi and look how the basic settings are implemented. There is a visa property node that can be accessed : right click on it and select "properties" to access other parameters. You can either modify this vi, or create your own.

You'll probably need two things: Most MacBooks don't have a standard video plug so you'll need a dongle to connect the computer to the display. Which dongle she needs depends on which computer she owns and whether you buy an analog or digital display. I recommend digital. I have two displays that I like a lot, one is a Dell 22" HD - rather expensive but gorgeous and the other is a 24" Samsung digital - much less expensive but very good. If you aren't sure which dongle to get look under the Apple menu for About this Mac and then click on the more information button and you'll get the exact computer model use that information to search the net or come back here and let us know which model she owns.
