Hi Apple-Team,
I am very interested in your new MacBook Pro, and want to buy one.
My first question is, if there is a possibility to order it with a german keyboard?
I am a german student who's doing some work and travel in the US. That leads me to another problem.
Because of work and travel I am always somewhere else and never more than 10 days at the same place.
I'm living in several motels and hotels and am never more than 10 days at the same place. So I can't give you any adress to send me the MacBook.
All I know is that I'll be in NYC from the 22. to the 28. of May, visiting the city and meeting with a friend of mine.
Is there a possibility to pick the MacBook up there in your AppleStore?
I know, these are some realy special problems and questions. I hope you can help me.

Hi, Federico. These are user-to-user forums. You are not communicating directly with Apple through them — only with other Mac users.
You won't be able to order a MacBook Pro with a German keyboard from Apple in the United States. German-keyboard models are only offered in Europe, perhaps only in certain European countries. If you must buy a new MBP in the USA, you will have to buy one with an English, Western Spanish, French or Japanese keyboard: those are the only keyboard options offered here. Given your frequent moves from place to place, you will have to buy one at an Apple retail store instead of ordering one online, unless you can have it sent to a friend who has a stable address. To order from the online store using a credit card, you will need a card whose billing address is in the USA.

I try to create a special Inbound delivery type for a special purchase order type (a transfer purchase order).
In SD module, I can créate a special outbound delivery and precise the sale order type, but I don't manage to do it for a Inbound delivery type.
Do you know if i can do it without specifiq?

Hi Roselyne,
What you experienced is standard system behavior. Inbound delivery type is uniquely assigned to confirmation control key. You can only specify confirmation control key on item level in PO. The assignment of Delivery type can be seen in the following table:
T163D
IBTYP EBTYP LFART RETDLV
1        AB                      X
2        LA        EL           X
3        GW       EG
The field T163D-IBTYP is checked in different programms. For example in programm RM06ENAB (TA: ME92F). If you insist to customize the determination of delivery type by PO type, I strongly suggest you discuss with the Application consultants before making the modifications to ensure it won't impact other areas.

Can I exchange a macbook ordered online from China for a macbook in the U.S?

Hi so my brother lives in Shanghai and he ordered online for me the new macbook so it can be shipped to where I live in the U.S. I was thinking that after I receive the computer I could exchange it for the macbook pro in a U.S. apple store because I don't like how the new macbook is so thin and doesn't have any usb ports. Is it alright if I exchange a macbook ordered online in China for a macbook pro in a U.S. store? Because the macbook my brother ordered was $1299 but then he bought it through the education store so it turned out to be $1249. And since the macbook pro w/ retina display is also $1299, can I exchange the macbook for the pro? Or are macbooks ordered online from China different from American macbooks that I can't exchange it in a U.S. store? Thanks for reading/ or answering!

Because that is their policy, if it is less than 14 days old you can return it for a refund, but that will have to be done in Shanghai.

Special production order change Quantity

Hi i'm a new user. I'd like to know if is possible to change base quantity in special production order, by default it is set to 1, but i need to set it to 1000 kg, is it possible do it without the use of bills of material and standard production order?

Maybe my english is not so good, but with my question i tried to semplify my job. I do always different BOM for the same Parent item. When i change the BOM of that item i'm not able to reuse a BOM used two months ago.
In case of special production order i can search the one next the BOM i intend to use, and edit it.
With standard productione order I can not do it because of i use child item also in 1/1000 and the quantity is only 1/100, 2 decimal.
I've tried to increase the decimal but the system answer with "impossible update another user connected" but is not true.
Another question, is it possibile to insert in the BOM or in order production the batch of child item?
Is it possible to use as child item the parent item i order to produce with other batch?

MacBook order cancelled?

I ordered my MacBook a few days ago. I didn't get a confirmation of order, but didn't worry about it. I transferred the money and finally got a mail from Apple that my order is now in process. This morning I headed over to the self-service website to check the progress. And that got me totally confused, since there's two boxes now with exactly the same content (my order), one of them says that my order will be shipped in a few days and one of them says it's cancelled. The sum of money I have (rather had, since I already transferred it) to pay is still the same, but the second box there kind of scares me because Apple now is the owner of the money that I worked hard for.
So: Is my order cancelled or did the system or whatever mess my order up and book two MacBooks but then they realized that I just ordered one and cancelled the second one?

I had this happen with an order I placed awhile back. Aplle evidently id't have the exact computer so they updated te order. Click on the order they have and you wil see what the new order is. You'll probably get a better computer. I had ordered an iMac 20". The order got cancelled and replaced with a 20" iMac with a higher ampunt of RAM (2 GB instead of 1GB) and 256 GB VRAM instead of 128 GB VRAM.

Macbook order stuck in Korea?

Ordered a Macbook Air one week ago, delivery date is 4th June but tracking says it's been sat in Korea for 3 days.
Any idea why it would take so long or how I can find more detailed tracking information?

That can happen. Mine went from Shanghai to Alaska then the east coast then finally back to the west coast for my delivery.

Does anyone know if there is a special macbook air app for Junos Pulse

My company used SAP, and I'm trying to gain access w/out having to boot up into a windows environment on my macbook air. I was told I could use the app Junos Pulse and download the SAPGUI locally. Is there a app specially for the the macbook's and has anyone tried this?

Is it possible to order a MacBook Pro from the US with a Swedish Backlit keyboard?
I would like to buy a MacBook Pro from the American Apple Store. Since I live in Sweden it would be convenient for me to have my keyboard in Swedish.
Do you guys now if there's any possibility to order that through the American Apple store?

Special Production Order

Hello Guru,
Yesterday we have issued, we want to have a production order that we dont want to direct posting of cost during Production Order declaration. we created a dummy material with mat type is non valuated, we made a production order with this kind of material,and doing the PO via CO01 SAP ask me to maintain settlement Rule: Overview, where i indicate the category and the cost center, after that release and confirm it log working hour for labor, and with this we made settlement via KO88. after all this process i done and check the PO that we made there is cost in analysis and its balance? is this because we indicated in the confirmation that activity in labor has values that's why the were register cost in my production order?
how could we achieve that our order will not be posted directly a cost?any set-up eitheir with the material,cost center etc?

Best solution for your problem is,
No need to create material as UNBW type.
Normal ROH, HALB, FERT material type we can achieve this.
In the BOM of FG or SFG goto item detail screen there is a tick mark in costing.
Remove the tick by OS23 - BOM status.
Now you can do your production as regular as non value added.
Steps for Settlement.
1. Over-head - KGI2 or CO43
2. WIP - KKAX or KKAO
3. Variance - KKS2 or KKS1
4. Settlement - KO88 or CO88
Please try this check your result and come back.

Macbook order

I have ordered a Mac book on apple 0% finance. part way through the Barclay's finance application I realised that my apple ID email address was an old university one which now does not exist. I went on apple ID and changed the email, and I've spoken with the apple customer services team twice but after five days I've still had no emails from either party. Thoroughly confused as to why I'm not receiving anything.

Can I use a G4 to get raw video footage to a no-firewire aluminum MacBook?

I recently purchased a new aluminum MacBook 2.4Ghz and was shocked to discover the lack of a firewire port. Ok, I should have read the specs more closely before ordering, but I never would have imagined this port being removed (other than from the specialized MacBook Air). As others on this board have said, what were they thinking?!
So I have some questions about downloading raw video footage from a firewire camcorder (forgive any ignorance on my part, I'm new to camcorders and digital movie editing--I've never used iMovie). My goal is basically editing home movies.
I have an old G4 tower (1.5Ghz, 1GB RAM). I also have an external firewire/USB drive. The tower will not run iMovie '08 because the processor is too slow. The iLife 08 disc refuses to even load iMovie on this machine.
I haven't purchased a camcorder yet. I spent a lot of time researching affordable camcorders and had settled on a well-reviewed Canon miniDV, which of course, is firewire. This camera does not come with any software.
Would it work to connect the camera to my G4 via firewire, download the raw footage to my external drive connected to the G4, then move the external drive over to the MacBook, connect it to the MacBook via USB, then import the raw footage to iMovie for editing? I realize the copying over USB would be very slow. I assume I need some type of software for downloading the raw footage to the G4. Since iMovie won't run and the camera has no software, is there some type of utility or shareware that lets you capture raw footage?
Is there a better way I can use my G4 to get raw footage from a firewire camera, and then on to my MacBook? Or will this work at all?
I see that there are a few USB camcorders out there, but they seem to be expensive or don't receive very good reviews, so I'd like to go with the firewire Canon.

Well, never mind. I'm returning the MacBook and buying a previous generation MacBook Pro, which ends up being about $200 more.
Solves my problem, but many folks can't afford the Pro. I'll be commenting at Apple customer feedback about the lack of firewire on the new MacBook.

Error on Production Orders Add-on when 2 or more users at the same time.

Our add-on creates special production orders (SAPbobsCOM.BoProductionOrderTypeEnum.bopotSpecial) with no problem when used by one user, but if there are two or more users everyone on his own SAPBO session it starts to throw different errors, we think it may be a concurrence problem due to several transactions.
Here a short brief of the code sample and the process:
(error handling and object members not included in the sample)

If the oDoc.Add() is correct, We get the last production order created and release it:

This works fine when only one user is using the add-on, but in the end there wil be at least eight users simultaneously working with this add-on
The test:
We have four users creating production orders with the add-on.
Two of them get the usual success messages and the created documents in SAPBO are all correct.
The other two users get diferrent errors messages during the process.
If they wait and try again to run the process it works fine.
Repeating the test get errors on different users depending on which one started the process first.
Our client needs to generate beetwen 900 and 1200 production orders per day, so they can't wait until the process is free for each user to work with it.
The common erros detected are:
Changing the status of the production order:
-5002 - The warehouse is not defined for the item.
-4002 - To generate this document,
first define the numbering series in the Administration module
-1029 - Field cannot be updated
Adding the production order and inventory entry:
-2038
-1116
-5002

The start transaction model didn't Fit well with all the process we are doing, but the idea of locking or holding the other users seems to work pretty fine, we are now using a flag to determine if someone is doing the process and put in hold the new ones.

Since already Goods issue is over. Some of the operations confirmed also. The best suggestion is you can complete the production in the existing plant/company code only.

Tracking the component changes - Open work order

Hi
We have been using special work order type, it is an open work orders. Was created for adding the small consumable and do the time writing for small jobs. The users are instructed to use only for consumable material and time writing job. But how ever the user who have acces to change the workorder are adding those material with high value. I want to trach who has ordered this changes is there any standard way to check the order.
If any changes made to the component list it will display the same reservation number which the warehouse will issue the goods, I would like to know each time item added to the component list by different user there ID or the name i should find.

Yes we can see the material reserverd against the person who is taking the material from the warehouse.
But the issue is while adding the material in the work order does not show who is the person adding the material to the workorder, it will go to the person who created the workorder to the same reservation.
For my issue is there any standard way or we have to go for development please let me know.
