Please, I learnt how to create dashboards and creating and loading repositories in ODIEE. I would like to have a good link for my practice of Oracle Data Warehousing. Please , could anyone get a good link to help in this? I know the use of the two tools but now combinign them to have a very good process is my problem.

Anything can be achieved if you put your mind to it, there is a vast amount of information available on the Internet, you can learn from friends and colleagues etc.
However, as with anything good training will give you an understanding of the fundamentals and best practices and make progress easier in the beginning.
To build a good Data Warehouse is a lot more complicated than many people think.

1)Portal is an integrated component of 9iAS. You need to download all of 9iAS and select the minimal install option.
2)We haven't tested this configuration, but as long as you set up apache appropriately to use different ports than the existing software it should work.
3)Portal requires 8.1.6.2 Enterprise edition or 8.1.7 Standard edition. Personal Edition will not work.

MS VS 2008 post install step; Oracle patch 9491976 failed while relinking

Hi,
I am installaing R12.1 on Windows 2008 Enterprise (SP1) server with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and cygwin as pre requisite softwares. The installation has got completed and I was even able to run a test concurrent program successfully.
Now, as part of post installation step (MS Visual Studio 2008 and Visual C++ 2008 Express for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 on Windows [ID 1070674.1]) applied the patch 9491976 and it error's out with relinking error.
All the relinking of the executables has failed in that patch and below is the gist of one such error message,

There are not spaces in the directory were MS VS 2008 is installed and the variable is set to "Set MSVCPP=C:/VS2008/VC"

Step by Step Oracle 10g ASM Installation on Linux

Error during Oracle Installation in Step Oracle Network Configuration

Hi All,
We are installing SAP 4.7 * 200 on window 2003 and Oracle (9.2.0.5).
Installation of Central Instance and oracle software was successful. But when we are installing database instance it is giving error in phase Prepare Oracle Network Configuration. Installer is not able to run lsnrctl utility. When we tried to run lsnrctl manually then it is giving below error:
The Procedure entry point kodsetlobcb could not be located in the dynamic link library orageneric9.dll.
Please suggest.

i want to make some search engine. i already make the table. i include a field with blob data type (let says: bl_data). Now, i already save into the table some document with doc and xls extension.
First of all i'm sorry, because i'm newbie in oracle. what i'd like to do next is how am i index the table. and then how am i find a document content with some word that i input, for example "car".
please help me with this problem. i really need it.

High-level response - take this with a grain of salt as there are a ton of options that I'm leaving out, and you will need some of them:
1) Create your preferences. I have no idea what you need for your solution. For example, you need to use the proper lexer for whatever languages you are using. Do you want to index themes? How much data are you indexing - this might impact your method of storage.
2) Create a context index:
create index index_name on table_name(column_name)
indextype is ctxsys.context;
You have to define the parameters that you want. The syntax is in link I sent.
3) Define how you plan to maintain your index (something you need to be totally familiar with). Options are discussed in the document.
4) Write your queries - use CONTAINS for the CONTEXT index.
Please understand, you are asking what at the surface may seem to be similar to "How can I create a bitmap index", but there is much more to it. It would be similar to me posting a question on how to take backups. There are so many options that the only forum entry that could answer them would be to paste the manual.
Please use the link I posted to get a start. The reference is long because there is a lot to it. Use what you need from it, and post here when you get stumped. Feel free to post specific questions you have back to the forum. Specifics (as opposed to general/broad) are more easily addressed in a forum.

From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Parental tab.
Select: iTunes Store
Click OK.

What are the softwares that I need to learn Oracle Apps- Financial module?

Hi All,
I'm a PL/SQL developer and supposed to learn Oracle Apps - Financial Module from Technical perspective as a part of my new job requirement. So, could you please help me figure out the softwares required to start learning Oracle Apps. ?
I think, I need servers and clients of E-Business Suite & RDBMS (10 g or 11g). I'm afraid whether 200GB of free disk- space & 3 GB RAM on my Desktop may not be sufficient if I install both servers & Clients.
So, please suggest the essential components of E-business Suite and RDBMS I should get to start learning Financial Module considering the above limitation.

For You can make installation on external disk wiht VMware option. For installation steps-installlation files-stage,require disk size etc.. check my blog
