A Strange "List" in Reminders

I have an iPhone 4 which I recently updated to iOS5. Everything went fine. However, when I first opened "Reminders" I had a strange List that appeared. I have "Completed" and "Reminders" but on a page in between these I have what looks like a long alpha-numeric password or serial number of some sort. It corresponds to no number that I know of. I'm a little reluctant to delete it but I think it must be some quirk that happened during the updating of my phone to iOS5. Anyone else noticed anything like this?
Regards,
Steve M.

I haven't noticed them in the calendar app patrick but I'll be on the alert. As you say, surely there must be other users getting these same nonsensical lists in Reminders. I wish we'd hear from some more of them. I continue to periodically search the internet but so far our posts here are the only thing I can come up with.
And I just don't think many of the users here on Apple Discussions are even noticing our posts here.
Regards,
Steve M.

  • Cannot delete Lists from Reminders app after upgrading to iOS 7. The deal is that those lists don't show in iCloud account in the Web-Browser, so I cannot delete via Browser, when I press the button Edit in the List, there is no Delete button at thebottom

On my iPhone 5, upgraded to iOS 7, the lists in Reminders are impossible to delete.  When I press Edit button in the right corner of the app, the button Delete list is supposed to be at the bottom, but it's empty there, the deal is I could delete some of the lists, but most of them I can't. I tried delete iCloud account from iPhone, but they are still there, and still no Delete button. In the Browser I don't see those lists, so cannot delete them from the Browser as well. Could you help me?

Read on another thread here that you now swipe in the opposite direction. Try swiping right to left.

  • Can anyone help me sync calendars from my iPhone to my Mac and help me figure out how to edit or delete lists in Reminders?

Can anyone help me sync calendars from my iPhone to my Mac and help me figure out how to edit or delete lists in Reminders?  I thought upgrading to Mountain Lion would work, but I'm having the same problem as before under Snow Leopard.  So, here's my situation.
I'm running 10.8.2 on a Macbook Pro.  I have a 3GS iPhone running 6.0.1.  I can make entries on my Mac Calendar and they will show up on my iPhone, but if I make an entry on my iPhone, it never makes it to my Mac.  Also, I notice that when I log in to my iCloud account on my Mac, it has a "me.com" email address as my apple i.d., but it is not my primary account i.d. and I can't figure out how to delete it.  Also, my Reminders application won't allow me to delete lists I created.  Contacts, on the other hand, work instantaneously regardless of where the change is initiated.

On you iPhone check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the calendars section).  Here be sure you have selected the Calendar listed under your iCloud account ID as your default.  If you haven't, make this change, then enter a new event on your phone and see if it syncs properly now.
You should be able to delete you reminders list by, from the Lists view, tapping Edit at the top, then tapping next to the list you want to delete and tapping Delete.

  • How do I add an item to my List in Reminders in iOS 7?

I see no way to add an item to a List in Reminders.  Before iOS 7 it was easy to do, but now i see no way to accomplish this.  Is there something I'm overlooking?

What happens when you click the "Edit" in the upper right?
Can't you add a reminder doing that?

  • How to add new lists in Reminders?

I am using iOS 7 with my iPod Touch. In the Reminders, I have my own default list. When I try to add a new list by pressing the + button, it only shows some colors for me to select. After selecting the color, I click on the blank place of the list but nth happens, it doesn't let me to edit the list even the title. Could someone tell me how to add a list in Reminders? Thanks:)

Do you have a + symbol on the top left side(next to the seraching bar)? I don't have it. It just shows two cards, which are my default list and "New List" with a + on the right side.

  • HT4970 How can I share a Task list in Reminders?

How can I share a Task list in Reminders?

First you can share Task List from Mac Reminder app or from icloud.com (Reminders app) (needs to login under your apple id).
Then you should login to icloud.com under apple id of acceptor for accepting inviting of your Task List.
    That's all.

  • Strange problem with reminders when waking iMac

I'm having a strange problem with reminders in Mountain Lion, and I thought someone might be able to help. If I have a reminder set, and it goes off when my iMac is asleep, after waking the iMac I can't dismiss the reminder. I can click on "Close" or "Snooze" once, and there is the puff of smoke like it has been dismissed, but the notice is still on the screen (even in the Dashboard view), and hover over it only gives the spinning beachball and I can't access notifications with the two finger swipe. So far, restarting my iMac is the only solution I have found to this situation.
Is anyone else having this happen? Is there an easy solution? Thanks!

How does Oracle/SQLPLUS allows any username or password to log in to DB with SYSDBA Privillages? What is the concept behind this.?
This is explainted in the above mentioned link:
Operating system authentication takes precedence over password file authentication. If you meet the requirements for operating system authentication, then even if you use a password file, you will be authenticated by operating system authentication.

  • Can I save a list in Reminders?

Can I save a list in Reminders to use again, e.g. a packing check list?

Sorry, thanks for the reply but that's not what I asked.
I understand how to make a list and add items to it, however when an item has been done / acheived and is ticked it disappears.
I was wondering if there was a way to save the entiire list for reuse in the future. To be precise, when I travel I want to write a check list of photographic equipment and to check them off as I pack. I do not wish to rewrite this list every time I travel, which is often, so is there a way to save it?
    Thanks

  • Default list for Reminders in Mountain Lion?

Reminders in Mountain Lion does not appear to have a default list setting.  Or rather, it's default is to the Calendar - On My Mac.  I then have to drag the reminder into the iCloud lists, because you can't even set it while editing the reminder.  You literally have to drag it.  Reminders doesn't have a preferences pane.  Does anyone know how to set the default list in Reminders to an iCloud list?

Delete the calendar/reminder list in the native calendar app on your Mac and then make sure you've dragged the list you want to be your default list to the top of the list of lists. This would not be possible if you actually have a calendar on your native Calendar app that you actually use, though, as it appears to me that there can be no calendars "On My Mac" in order for you to use an iCloud list as a "default" list in Reminders. This took care of it for me.

  • I have a iPhone 4s and I can't create new lists in Reminders

my wife has an iPhone 4s, running IOS 7.0.4 She is trying to create a new list in Reminders and nothing happens - just dumb screens
I have the same phone running same IOS and do not have the problem - Suggestions?

OK I am not sure what I did - but I will describe it and maybe one of you experts can put it into understandable language
I went into my wife's phone and activated her iCloud - once I did that - her Old Reminders came back and she was able to establish new lists -
I am sorry I am really not a techie - and not sure what I did - but it worked

  • I can't create new lists in reminders

I've recently got an iPhone 4S and I've been trying to add a new list to reminders and edit one of the existing ones but I've been unsuccessful so far. I've followed the instructions from the user's manual and everything seems fine until the very end, I do get to the stage where I can tap the Edit button but then nothing happens when I tap the name of the existing list to edit it. Any ideas how I could resolve this issue are much appreciated! Thanks.

    Hi,
Thanks for your answer. I can edit the contents just fine, the problem is with creating/editing/deleting lists. Since you mention 'tapping edit then "Create New List"', I think that's where part of the problem lies because I can't create a new list. When I tap 'Edit', I can see my existing (pre-defined) lists but there is no "+" button or a "Create New List" button. I can't tap the lists, nothing happens and no red circle with a horizontal line appears.
Incidentally, I can't change the names of the pre-defined calendars either but I've sort of managed to bypass that problem by syncing the iPhone with iTunes and importing my calendar from iCal.
Do you think I should take it back to the shop or is there any other way I could resolve this issue?
    Thanks

  • Delete list from Reminders

When I delete a list from Reminders app on iPhone 4S iOS7 it appears right back after a few seconds. The Reminders app is on iCloud too. I have tried to delete it from iCloud.com but that behaves the same way too. I have a total of 4 devices using reminders synced via iCloud.

I tried it again yesterday and deleting a reminders list now seems to work.
