A thief stole my iPhone and changed the Apple ID address

My (another) Apple ID email address has been changed by somebody. How can I reset it? My iPhone was stolen and now and can't find it by iCloud or Find My iPhone.
Apple sent me an email to reset it (at 00:01), but it only available for 3hrs. How can I f**cking reset it?

The first thing you need to do is file a police report.

A thief stole my Iphone and I want to lock the device and wipe information. What can I do?

Did you have Find My iPhone enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone along with having the passcode lock feature enabled preventing unauthorized access with your iPhone?

You need to do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B.
    Restart phone
    Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware failure in the phone that needs evaluation by Apple.

  • I forgot my password and my birthday and email does not recognize. please help me, it happen when I buy my new iphone5s and change the Apple ID of my old iPhone 4.

i have a new iPhone 5s, it does not recognize my password, when I try to restore it my birthday and email does not recognize, it only happen when I change my old iPhone 4 and change the Apple ID of it. please help me, all my phone now does not recognize my password.

To change to iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID then sign in with the new ID.  If you don't know the password for the old ID, and if the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I am puzzled by this. The laptop doesn't need the Apple ID - but iTunes does. I could be missing something but ....
Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID?

  • My x stole my iphone and knows the passcode. Is there anyway to change it

I need to change my lost mode passcode ASAP and don't have my phone because the X stole it. Anyway to do that from Icloud or online?

You can not reset you device pass code via icloud. I would recommend you go to icloud.com and login and select your device and erase you device.

  • My partner has been given an iphone 4 from her father, I have manged to delete and move to her email but need to know how to change the phonebook i.e delete it and change the apple i.d...any ideas?

    Hi All
My Partner has been given an ipone 4 from her father.
I have managed to delete his email and set hers up, what I need to do is delete his contacts entirley..would this be able to be done if she connected her ipone to the computer and made herself an apple I.D or is it a matter of reset ?
Also some pictures on the phone she would like to keep..
    Many thanks

If her contacts are available in an Address Book app on her computer that is supported for syncing with the iPhone, she can select the supported address book app on her computer under the Info tab for her iPhone sync preferences for syncing contacts. She should be provided a merge prompt or replace the contacts on her iPhone with what is available in the address book app on her computer. Select the 2nd option.

  • HT204053 How do you change the apple ID on an iPhone?

My iPhone has my daughters account in it, I purchased her a iPhone and she needs her iCloud for her phone and I can't delete her apple ID from my phone so that it accepts my account.  How do I edit/delete it?

    Welcome to Apple Communities
Go to Settings > Store and change the Apple ID. Then, go to Settings > iCloud and change it

  • I bought a movie on a different device after just changing the Apple ID on it and now I can't download it on my other device

I Didn't have my iPad with me so I use another iPad and changed the Apple ID on it so I could look at and buy the movie I wanted and watch it later on my own iPad.  When I went to download it it wasn't in my videos but it was in my purchased.  So when I went to download it, it wouldn't let me.

    Did you buy or rent?
Rented movies that are rented on an ios device must be watched on that device and cannot be transferred to anything else.
I find it best to rent movies on my desktop, that way I can then transfer to my ATV or ipad.

  • A guest at our home used his ipad and changed the network name. How do I change it back to the apple network

A guest at our house was using his ipad and changed the apple netwrok name to another and put a password on it.  How do I eliminate this netwrok and get back to the Apple Network?

Please check out the following AirPort User Tip for details on resetting the password. Once that is done, you can access the base station to change its Wireless Name (or SSID) back to what you prefer. To discourage other "guests" from changing the AirPort settings, you should also change the default base station Administrator password.

  • How do you reset the Apple ID to a new one for the automatic updates download tool?  It defaults to my old Apple ID, even though I have changed the Apple ID to the new one everywhere I can find.

I have an original Apple ID from my personal iPhone and iPad.  I bought a MacBook Pro for business and the Apple Store clerk told me to use the old Apple ID to make setup faster and that I could change to a new one later.   So... I did all that and changed the Apple ID everywhere I can find a place to do so.  And everything seems okay, except the Automatic Updates download tool defaults back to my original Apple ID.  That old Apple ID is grayed out in the login, so I cannot seem to change it to download and update under my new, business-related Apple ID for my MacBook Pro.  What to do?

Yes, absolutely, you can still use the old ID to update, etc., but I understood the OP to want to simply discard the old one and use only the new one. Maybe I misunderstood...
And, actually just now re-reading the first post, it could be that the ID had only been associated with the iDevices, so if he established a new ID and associated that with the new MBP, I frankly have no idea if he can still use the old ID on that machine (based on him saying that the old ID is greyed out) - have not come up with this type of situation before.

  • The thief stole my iphone! what to do?

the thief stole my iphone! what to do?

If Find My Phone was setup/activated before your phone was stolen, you can login to iCloud.com from any computer & try to locate it. If Find My Phone was not setup, there is no way to locate your phone. Report the loss to the police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.

I have bought an used Iphone 5. I dont have the password for the existing login id of the old owner. How do i use the phone and change the log in id?

Unfortunatly the only way that you can get it off is to get the old user to input the password.  You may need to contact that old user and see if he can put the old password in.  hope this helps.

  • My icloud account on my new iphone does not match the user ID for itunes as it is an old apple ID. There is no password for this ID so I cant change it and it wont let me change the apple ID. Any help?

my icloud account on my new iphone does not match the user ID for itunes as it is an old apple ID. There is no password for this ID so I cant change it and it wont let me change the apple ID. Any help?
