A to Z then 0 to 9

Question

How can I decide if I want the sort order in Album view to always be either
A to Z then 0 to 9
or
0 to 9 then A to Z
The sort order in Album view changes from sync to sync. I want it to be the same sort order every time...

Hi,
The answer lies in ASCII value of each character, so no need to set anything.
To verify the same use ASCII function of oracle. Null is undefined but while sort it comes first in ascending order ,Numerics have minimum ascii val, then capital letters and then small letters. Sorting is done based on these values.
select ascii(null) from dual;
ASCII(NULL)
1 row selected.
SQL> select ascii(1) from dual;
ASCII(1)
49
1 row selected.
SQL> select ascii('A') from dual;
ASCII('A')
65
1 row selected.
SQL> select ascii('Z') from dual;
ASCII('Z')
90
1 row selected.
SQL> select ascii('a') from dual;
ASCII('A')
