A way to prevent photos from being downloaded?

I remember seeing an option one time about allowing people to download images on your site that you created using iweb but I never messed around with it. So is there a way to do something that would prevent people from taking your photos? I am asking because I do photography work. There are a lot of sites out there that won't allow you to right click your mouse and snag the photo. Just wondering if iWeb offered anything like that.

The only thing iWeb offers in that regard is, if your photos are on a Photos template page, you can set the "Photo Download Size" to "None" in iWeb's Inspector > Photos tab:
...Then the Download button won't appear. But iWeb doesn't prevent right-click downloading.

  • Is there any way to prevent fields from being overwritten when importing data via xdp-file?

In an pdf-form designed with LCD everytime the form gets merged with an xdp-datafile content of all fields get overwritten, regardless which data-binding (normal, global, none) is assigned to the fields and regardless if the fields are exluded in the xdp-datafile. Is this normal behavior and is there any way to prevent fields from being overwritten?

The xdp-file is first exported from Acrobat Professional 8 (export data as *.xdp) to get the complete structure. Then in the xdp-file some fields are removed manually and other fields are filled with data. When the modified xdp-file is opened again with Acrobat Professional 8 it grabs the original pdf-form and merges the manually filled fields into the form. With the merge all other fields in the form are overwritten, even if they are not defined in the xdp-file. And that is what I want to avoid. I want to merge the xdp-file into the form and keep the data in fields not defined in the xdp-file.

  • Is there a way to prevent HTML from being displayed in forum?

Is there a way to prevent HTML from being displayed in forum in BC to avoid linking to other sites on an eCommerce site?

    Thank you for your post!
Unfortunately there isn't a way to restrict customers to post on your forums links to other sites.
However what I suggest here is to choose to moderate each forum post and this way you can choose to approve or remove links from the posts sent by customers.
    I hope this helps!

  • Is there a way to prevent videos from being deleted?

My 11 year old son, who is autistic, has an iPad that he uses for communication and for watching movies that we've purchased for him.  Is there a way to prevent him from deleting the movies once we've synced them to his iPad?  He keeps deleting them!

  • Is there a way to prevent psd from being the default file extension?

In previous versions, psd was added automatically if the document was layered. Since I don't use psd, I had to manually change to tiff.
But I'm finding that even flat (unlayered) files that came in as jpgs have psd inserted as the default. I would have thought that, by default, a file could stay whatever it started out being. (Whether jpg or tiff, flat or layered).
This happens when I "save as" even when I don't change the name of the file, only save it in a different location (such as a jpg file from a flashcard being saved to computer).
Is there a way to prevent the extra step of rejecting psd? Is there a preference or something I have missed?

Although the little camera I was using doesn't capture 16 bit, I did run the jpgs briefly through ACR to try out the shadows/highlight feature since the photos were perfect candidates. My preference there is to convert to 16 bit ProPhoto so maybe--even though the files opened as jpgs. That might be the problem: maybe bit depth is the trigger for psd assignment. Still, I wish there was a way to disable it.

  • Restoring a SQL Server 2005 DB to a SQL Server 2014 install, is there any way to prevent it from being upgraded

Does anyone know if there is a flag I can use to prevent a SQL Server 2005 database from being upgraded to SQL 2014 when it is restored to a 2014 instance?
Don't ask why, I just need to know if this is possible or if 2005/8 DB's are required to be upgraded if they are going to run on SQL 2012/2014 instances. The documentation seems to say this is so, I just want to verify that.

First: You cannot directly restore a 2005 database to
2014. MS supports migration over 3 SQL Server version steps; means you can restore 2005 to 2008/2008R2/2012, but not to 2014. You have to do a migration step between.
Olaf I was looking for this today, because I'm working with a new customer that have SQL 2005 and I have SQL 2014. And needed to restore a backup form the production server in my test server.
When I read what you write I think, oh no!! I have to install SQL 2012 in my server. But that it's not an option for me, and I say let me try to restore the DB first in 2014 and if not work install 2012.
You can restore a 2005 database to 2014 directly, and it works.
For reference the version number in the servers 2005 (9.0.4035 SP3) and 2014 (12.0.2000 RTM)
This is not related in any way to the original question that you answered (the file format will be upgraded to the new motor, that is sure).
I put this lines because in the future there will be some people searching about if possible to restore a 2005 DB to 2014, and like me will read your lines and think it's not possible and that can make a decision to buy 2012 and not 2014 to that new server they
    will migrate.

  • Is there a way to prevent invoices from being cancelled

    Hello,
Our business has come to me and asked that we take away the abililty for anyone to cancel invoices using VF02 and VF11.  Is there a way to do this?  I have researched a bit and it sounds like it can be done through transaction VOFA but I have not been able to figure out how to do this yet.  Any help or suggestion is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Fred

I just realized the obvious.  All I need to do is block transaction VF11 and that will prevent anyone from cancelling invoices.
    Thanks,
    Fred

  • HT204022 Can I prevent photos from being deleted accidentally?

Sometimes my kids will delete photos from photo stream, is there a way to lock them so I can save them first?

There's no way to lock them.  One precaution is to save a copy to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).  Once in the camera roll, you can import them to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083).

  • Does Mac Mail's "Quick Look URL" option for links prevent software from being downloaded onto my computer?

I received an e-mail from a friend that had a suspicious looking link embedded in it. I did not navigate to the link in my web browser but I did do a "quick look" in Mac Mail. Does this open me up to any vulnerability? If so, is there a way to check to see if any malicious software and/or viruses were downloaded onto my MacBook?
    Thanks!

    Hi Dave,
    Welcome to the Discussions.
It's possible (more likely the drive is dead) that the drive's directory is damaged. If that's the case, Disk Warrior may be able to fix it. At $80US for Disk Warrior, I'd be more inclined to replace the drive. If your patient and can wield a few small tools, you can replace it yourself.

  • Is there a way to prevent photos from displaying larger than resolution allows?

When I display a small photo (e.g. 2"x3") on the iMac, the photo is dispalyed that size.  However, on the iPad, the photo is enlarged to the full screen size and it is so pixellated that it is garbage.  I have been pasting the small photo into a larger background with Photoshop (since I don't see a way to do it with Photoshop) so it displays the right size, but there must be a better way.

None that I know of. 1024×1024 is the smallest size that will allow the image to be displayed without upsizing on the display.
     Cheers, Tom

    How did they do that?

  • Prevent movies from being downloaded twice (720p and 1080p)

I noticed that iTunes downloaded each of my purchased movies twice. I guess it's the 720p version and the 1080p version.
Anyways as my SSD is getting full I'm wondering if there is a way to just download the 1080p version. I don't feel like deleting the second download every time I buy a movie.

Well the problem is that every movie gets downloaded twice. See the attached screenshots ...

  • Prevent JNLP from being cached in the Java Web Start cache

    Hi,
when i launch a JNLP it's always being cached in the Java Web Start cache. Is there a way to prevent it from being cached? Some attribute/property inside it?
    Thanks!

Set the http headers in the response from the server when the client downloads the jnlp file.
    eg Cache-control no-cache
Expires (use same date as "date" header)
Note that over SSL on Internet Explorer 8 this will not work. All other configurations should be ok.

  • How to prevent swf files being downloaded

    People,
I'm a teacher and I have some animations made in flash language (swf). I would like to publish these animations on my web site so my students could see, but I wonder if there is any way to prevent these animations being downloaded.
Example: when I see an animation published on my web site, this animation is stored in Internet Temporary Files and I can save this animation anywhere. How can I prevent an animation is stored in the temporary folder? In other words, this animation can only be seen if the user is logged on the site.
    Urgent!!!
    Thanks.

You could implement a kind of time-barrier, like in the trial versions you
    download from softwarecompanys.
For the most users, that are not understanding actionscript and know how to
read the code, even if they decompile it, that would prevent the swf being
played after a certain date that you would have to implement in your code.
In AS2 the code would be like this:
    >
var now:Date = new Date(); //reads the user system date
    var release:Date = new Date(2009, 11, 16); //here goes the date, when you
want to have the program deactivated
    >
    if(now <= release){
playSwf(); // here goes your normal code
    >
    else{
       doNothing();
    >
Like the most TimeBarriers this could be easily circumvented if the user
sets back his system date, so do not give a message like "You trial period
    has expired"
