A way to sync Subscribed Calendars

I created an Automator Workflow that daily copies my subscribed calendars (company calendar) to local calendars. When I saved the workflow, I saved it as an iCal plugin with an alarm that goes off every day at 12:30 AM.
To create the Workflow, download the Yellow Camp actions installer at…
http://automatorworld.com/archives/yellow-camp-ical-actions/
Once the actions are installed into the Automator library you can create the workflow.
I have used the following:
Find Events in iCal (a subscribed calender)
Move iCal Events (into a local calendar that you name)
You can repeat the above steps for a many subscribed calendars that you want to sync.
Now my subscribed calendars appear at MobileMe and my iPhone.

this is great and what i've been looking for but....
how do you keep it from duplicating events?
I just ran it after i had copied an event to my local calendar and when it ran it duplicated the event. So i had an event from my subscribed calendar on my local calendar twice.

Is there a way to sync outlook calendars with Imac, Ipad, Iphone calendars?  I am not running exchange server.

    hello,
BlackBerry devices do not support ActiveSync.
you have several ways, from best to less good :
    1)
if your company has set up Outlook Web Access, you can use the BIS connection of your device to connect to the Exchange server (email + Address book) through the url of the Outlook Web Access. The OWA needs to be accessible from outside the company.
    2)
if your company has setup an external link to the exchange server (can be accessible from outside the company), you can configure your BIS directly to the Exchange server (email only if I recall correctly)
    3)
if your company allows it, on your PC you can setup your email account to automatically forward all incoming emails to a third party email (like GMail or Hotmail), and then configure BIS to connect to that email provider. You will get push email. You can then setup a reply-to: field.
    4)
use a Windows Mobile phone that has the ActiveSync feature.

  • Syncing subscribed calendars in iCal to MobileMe / iPhone

Is there a way to do this? I have a few subscribed calendars that I would like to be able to see on my iPhone but I can't figure it out to save my life.

Yes, I am very curious about this also. I absolutely need my work calender synced so I use MM to do this so my macbook and iphone are always in sync. But, I would love to see my subscriptions on my iphone - I mean, that's where I spend a lot of time looking at my calender.
Does anyone know a work around yet? Or has apple released any more info on this yet?
Thanks, and if there are others who would also like this feature let's chime in here...maybe someone will know a fix or someone will be able to suggest a 3rd party app...

  • Is there a way to sync the calendar on my iPhone to my friends calender on there iPhone?

Is there a way to sync my calender on my iPhone 5c with my friends calender on their iPhone 5c?

If you are both using iCloud, one of you can share their calendar(s) and the other can subscribe to them.

  • Syncing subscribed calendars

I subscribe to our family calendar from my wife's Mac and I maintain a personal calendar on my Mac. My personal calendar syncs to my iPhone without a problem, but I can't get the subscribed calendar from my wife's computer to sync to the my iPhone. Can this be done?

Yes, it's possible, but it might not be what you're wanting. The problem is that push sync doesn't work (yet?) with subscribed calendars. See the article here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1213
The way I've been able to work around this is to disable push, or "over-the-air" sync, and then only sync calendars when syncing over the USB cable. To do this, on your iPhone to go Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> then for each of your accounts (or in my case, just for .Mac), set 'Calendars' to Off.
Then in iTunes, with your iPhone connected, sync your iPhone once, then go to the Info tab for your iPhone, and make sure the settings for "Sync iCal Calendars" is enabled for the right calendars.
I've been checking back on that knowledge base article about once a month, and have yet to see any sign that Apple has fixed this problem. A search through the discussions shows that lots of folks are wanting push sync for subscribed calendars to work, so we are not alone!
    I hope this helps.

  • TS3999 Using OS Mavericks. Any way to sync Contacts & Calendars without using iCloud? Don't always have internet!

Any way to sync ical and contacts without internet?!!

Not unless you want to install OS X server and set up your own CardDAV and CalDAV server as explained here: http://www.macworld.com/article/2061183/itunes-ios-syncing-gone-solve-it-with-se rver-.html.  That would allow you to sync contacts and calendars locally with your Mac as you could before Mavericks.

  • Syncing Subscribed calendars with iCloud?

I'm not initially finding a way to push calendars I've subscribed to on my MacBook in iCal to the cloud and thus my other IOS devices. Does anyone know if this is possible?

We have had a long discussion about this, se this thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/16873986#16873986
Subscribed calendars will NOT show up in iCloud.com (the web calendar) unless they are shared among iCloud users as "private" calendars. If you want them to, you must make some kind of workaround. In the thread above at page 1 Mr. julian Wright describes one such workaround. But ifit is a calendar that updates frequently, this is not a good option

  • Is there a way to sync iCloud Calendar with Google Calendar and vice versa?

I have been using Google Calendar for awhile and really just like the design of Mac's calendar a lot more. I want to use the calendar feature on iCloud because I can access it online when I need to. However I use an Android so I don't think I can completely utilize the iCloud Calendar feature on my phone. Is there a way to get Google Calendar and iCloud Calendar to talk?

    Welcome to the Apple community.

    Unfortunately not.

  • I am looking for a way to sync my calendars between Microsoft Outlook Calendar and My IPhone 4?

I am looking for a convenient way to synchronize my calendars between my email account and Microsoft Outlook to my gmail account and Iphone 4s

you are asking about Microsoft products and using a laptop, not a workstation Mac Pro.
The Numbers and Pages Apple Communities. or MS Community if you want those.
Importing and Exporting, but Numbers and Pages will not do a SAVE into other formats by default, and therefore have to keep using Export which is messy.

  • Is there any way to sync iPod calendar with google calendar?

  • HOW TO SYNC IPHONE TO A "SUBSCRIBED CALENDAR"

I have successfully linked my GMAIL calendar to my iCAL calendar on Mobileme. I find this very useful and gives me the most flexibility. I can add events and merge other calendars (holidays etc) using Gmail but am still able to use the iCal on the iPhone which has the best interface.
HOWEVER, the linked calendar appears as a "subscribed calendar" on my mobileme page. When i SYNC this to my iPhone this subscribed calendar does NOT appear.
Is there any resolution in the works for this problem?????
The only reference i can find on apple support leaves the problem UNRESOLVED. See below.
    THanks so much
Mac OS X 10.5: Subscribed calendars are listed in their own section of the iCal calendar list. When syncing subscribed calendars to MobileMe, the calendar information and settings for the calendar is synced, but all of the downloaded events are not. This is done to help streamline the syncing process with MobileMe, as it prevents syncing redundant information to other computers with an Internet connection.

The problem has still not been resolved. You cannot sync subscription calendars to the iPhone or iPod Touch at this time.

  • 2-way syncing with Calendar

I can sync from Outlook 2011 and Google Calendar into Calendar (OS10.8.2).  Is there a way of syncing from Calendar into the other two apps, ie., how do I achieve 2-way syncing?
OR, is there a decent PIM for iPad1 which will sync diectly with Outlook 2011?
    Thanks

    MKS,
I found over the past year of using Google Sync & changing BB's is that if you have a number of email addresses then you end up with a number of Calendars on the BB.  You need to specify the Calendar when inputing an entry on the BB, then 9 times out of 10 it will work fine.  But i have had the experience that it won't sync properly.  So on my new Tour,  I have gone into the service books on my BB an have deleted the additional calendars (ical).  This definitley solves the issue and my sync works flawlessly.  But down the road if an entry doesn't sync, you will need to check the service books again, as the service books get sent every once in a while to your BB and will reappply the additional calendars (ical).
i hope this helps.  I love Google Sync.  I'm hoping they add Tasks to the Sync soon to make it even more complete.

  • Is there a way to sync only the calendar with the new control panel?

I did the iCloud control panel update on my work machines this morning and it looks like it will only sync the calendar with outlook if you let it sync your contacts and tasks as well. The main reason I use iCloud is to sync my work meetings/events between my work PC and my phone. It liked the way it worked before, but now the user has less control over what it syncs. Is there a way to sync the calendar only?
Also, it's made outlook quit unexpectedly on both machines, but I assume they'll have bug fixes eventually. I'm running one machine with Office 2007 and one with 2010.

The iCloud Control Panel 2.0, just release with iOS 6, forces users to upload Outlook contacts to iCloud in order to sync calendar and reminders with iPhone. This is unacceptable to me.  Because of this and bugs in the Outlook/iCloud plugin, I have discontinued use of iCloud and will sync my iPhone with Outlook using itunes. I will have to forego using Outlook task syncing with iPhone reminders because iTunes doesn't sync them, which is unfortunate.

  • Possible to sync GroupWise calendar info?

Anyone know of a way to sync GroupWise calendar info to the iPhone 3G?
My office uses GroupWise. Ideally, I'd like to be able to sync my GroupWise work calendar and also have a personal calendar separately, but for now would be happy just to have a way to get my GroupWise calendar data to sync without having to manually enter it separately into a completely different calendar.

The only way I have found to get my calender onto my iPhone is to use this scraper program by Ben Galbraith which can be found here:
    http://galbraiths.org/blog/2007/04/11/groupwise-exporter-10/
It is not the most elegant solution but it works, and this is the only thing that I have found that works! What you do is enter in your groupwise login and password and point the script to your company's groupwise webmail site. It then scrapes your webcalender and serves out (via an open port on your machine) an iCal calender. Then you open up iCal and subscribe to you current IP address and port. You groupwise calender then shows up in iCal and can be synced to your iPhone. Note that this is a read only solution and you can not add calender items.
What would be an even more elegant solution would be if iCal or the iPhone was some how able to interpret and sync to the IMAP calender. Maybe someone has already figured this one out. If so then let me know.

I just upgraded to Pre 2 a couple weeks ago and have been experiencing similar problems with my Verizon model and a replacement.  Apparently it is widespread; there is a lengthy (11 pages so far) thread on it in this Community forum.  Try http://palm.lithium.com/t5/Synergy-webOS/strange-behavior-syncing-Pre2-Calendar-with-Google-Calendar... or Google the phrase "strange behavior syncing Pre 2 Google" (look for a search response that references "11 pages" or you'll miss some  of the more recent posts).  Not sure there are any good answers at the moment.  Very disappointing if so; the Google/Pre sync worked flawlessly on my Pre Plus for the past 15 months (webOS v.1.4.5)
