A way to view your memory?

hello all,
so I saw recently that my hard drive space is getting rather crammed. and I am sure there is a ton of stuff I could delete, I just don't necessarily know what's really taking up the space.
my question is, is there a way to easily view, the size of all your programs and media files, all together, or something of that nature? this could even be as basic as a list with file sizes that browsing through the finder doesn't seem to offer. some kind of roll up.
any ideas, mac wizards?

I can't say. I rarely need to do this activity. I have them in case I have a case of mysterious disappearing hard drive space, which hasn't happened to me. Unfortunately I know what all my files are.
I could qualify that by saying the free ones. Three of them are free so there's no harm in trying them all and you deciding which is your favorite.

What's the best way to organise your library?

I'm just getting to grips with Aperture and something has struck me. I'm not sure my existing libray is the best way to store my photos now I'm using Aperture.
Before using Aperture I had two folders called Digital Negatives and Final Prints.
Inside the Digital Negatives folder I then had sub folders named after the shoot date e.g. 25-03-2007 and inside these were all the RAW files I shot on that day.
Inside the Final Prints folder I then had sub folders named after what I was shooting and the date e.g. The London Eye 25th March 2007 and inside this where all the high res TIFF files I had created from the RAW files in the other folder.
As for naming, all files retain their orginal file name so a TIFF file I had converted from a RAW file would be called something like CRW_2878.TIFF and the matching RAW file would be CRW_2878.CRW.
What I've done is to create two projects from within Aperture called Digital Negatives and Final Prints and imported the respective photos into these projects as referrenced material and I am well into the whole keywording process.
Having now used Aperture for a few days I can see and appreciate how Aperture works and tracks versions even versions that have been edited in Photoshop so I'm thinking that instead what I should have done was to create a unique project for say each location/event I shot and then import both the RAW and TIFF files into this project and then stack each RAW file with it's corresponding TIFF file.
Question: Is this the best way of organising a large existing library consisting of RAW and TIFF files?
Question: Is there a way or a need to tell Aperture that a particular TIFF file is a version of a particular RAW file?
Question: Is there a way of 'merging' all these photos together so that I don't loose all the keywords and stacks etc that I've already added.

One amateur's guess: you're coming to the right conclusion.
Since you never actually work on the master itself, yet can always see it (by pressing 'M'), there's no need to make master/other an organizing principle. Events, or something that anchors images' categorial whereabouts in your memory, seems more useful. (Keywording is essential anyway.)
If your TIFFs are made by editing in an external editor, they'll get stacked with the originals automatically. Otherwise you'll have to do that. In any case, what you'll probably need to do is either
a) search on Text such as "tiff" to locate files of various kinds, and move bunches of 'em around that way, and/or
b) in the Browser go to List view and use the "sort-by" columns to group the things you want to move.
You should be able, one of those ways, to reorganize your images in fairly large chunks.
Warning: doing massive reorganization in a library seems to produce problems sometimes -- wrong thumbnails, running out of disk space. See various recent posts. It's probably safest to do a relatively modest amount of reorganization (moving images from one Project to another) at a time, meaning quit and restart Aperture between times.
Others can give you more pro advice, though.

Is there a way to view videos as a list when syncing Ipod?

I am wondering if there is a way to view the videos that I choose to sync to my Ipod as a list.
When you click the Movies tab on the left in iTunes you see a list of all the videos you have available in your iTunes. BUT, when you have an Ipod hooked up and click on the Movies tab at the top (Devices>Your Ipod>Movies) they are shown as thumbnails.
I would much rather just see the list and be able to pick and choose which movies to sync without seeing useless thumbnails of them

Doesn't anyone else have this desire?
It seems most people are used to seeing lists on all desktop computers. I almost never see anyone viewing files as icons when doing serious work. I'm stumped as to why this would not be an option for the iphone.
Can anyone offer a reason why Apple would confine us to icon view for apps?

Is there a way to view all cameras in the timeline at once without creating a multicam sequence? Is there some kind of window I can open where they will show up? I am scrubbing a timeline and I would like to see all the cameras at once.

The multicam monitor only shows multiple clips at once when they are part of a mutlicam sequence. is there some reason you don't want to use them inside a multicam sequence for previewing?
Here is a possible workaround, if your workflow circumstances will permit it:
Apply a pip preset effect to each clip in the timeline. Use UL, UR, LL, LR presets and up to four video tracks will display at once. If you need to see more than that, you'll need to tweak their position parameters by hand. When you're done previewing them all at once you just need to delete their effects from the Effects Controls panel.
I know it's not that neat or quick, but it will let you see everything at once in the program monitor.

For instance, DigiDNA's DiskAid will let you extract your messages from the phone in human-readable format. Like .pdf.

Your contact list can only be accessed using Skype application installed on your computer/device.
However, if you Skype account is linked with Microsoft account, then you can login to Outlook.com on the web and tere you should alos be able to see your contact list.

Short answer is no. And unfortunately there's no really longer answer. Firefox Sync's vision and product design is to allow you to have all your information in all your browsers.
The really long answer is that they are some other projects on the works that will cover the case that you refer to: you are in a computer that is not yours and you want to access once with your home set-up. Unfortunately at the moment is just an idea.

No, you can't view a list of gift card redemptions, you can only view your account's purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it, click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases - if you select a link on that history then it should show how it was charged e.g. mine show 'Store Credit' as I only use gift cards
