A window keeps appearing on my PC advising as follows "The iTunes library file cannot be saved.you do not have enough access privilages for this operation." resulting in recently purchased items not being saved to PC.
A window keeps appearing stating " The iTunes Library cannot be saved. You do not have enough privilages for this operation". New purchases and CD down loads are able to be saved to my iPod but not to my PC?

hi ! i have ipad 2 and i was trying to sync through itunes . but cannot sync and getting message such as your ipad cannot be synced . you do not have enough access privilages for this operation .
my laptop is windows 8 licence . kindly help me to solve thisIf your iPad has a passcode lock, have you tried unlocking the iPad before attempting to sync it with iTunes?
Do you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your Windows PC? -
When trying to install a digital copy, everything works including the downloading, until it is processing to iTunes then I receive "You do not have enough access privilages for this operation. Check the disk to make sure it is clean and retry." error.
Tryed several times, Same Results. Tryied rebooting, logging out & into iTunes, Same Result. Seems to do this error with every digital copy, but works eventually. But now will not post digital copy to my iTunes at all. Just same error over and over.
Any Thoughts??Oddly enough. I think I just solved it. It looks like, for some reason, my computer has about 8 different "iTunes music" folders, and I've been saving my music to the wrong one. Neat. Music now imports and plays as it should. Copying things over is going to be so fun tonight!

TS1814 do not have enough access privilages for this operation, iphone 5
I am trying to sync my iphone 5 to iTune but getting this message.
The iPhone "iPhone 5" cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privilages for this operation.
Does anyone seen this error before? Are you logged in as an Administrator on your account? You need to have administrative privileges on the iTunes and related folders for syncing. Try this diagnostic in iTunes http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1369 and see if it identifies the errors. If you are an administrator on the computer, you will need to make sure the necessary folders have the permissions repaired.

Can anyone help me with this problem. ITunes message," The iTunes library file cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." I have administrator account and transferred files from old PC. I downloaded new iTunes program on new PC. I synced my iPhone to new PC, no problem. I deleted old account after indicating shared files to new admin account. Can anyone help?
A belated reply, as the problems itunes has have discouraged me from using it much. If you uncheck the "read only" box, it doesn't stay that way! Next time you use it, the box comes up checked.
I'm still having that problem, even when I open iTunes as administrator.
I've yet to see the answer to this problem. I use itunes mostly to download audiobooks, and I'm ready to download more, and want to save them! -
Hello, the new problem is this, the error message in the title of this discussion keeps appearing "The itunes library cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privelages for this operation"....I've read suggestions on access privelages but they are all granted to me (my admin and user accounts) and I have full control over itunes, yet the message STILL appears everytime I re-open itunes. Does anyone know any solutuions? I'm on 64 bit Windows 7.
I am intrigued by this as it comes up from time to time without a solution.
It is very odd if iTunes opens withoout creating a library file, it should create an empty file i.e. one with no music in it, are you absolutely sure that it does not create a new iTunes Library.itl? - It really should open at all if it can't do that.
Normally when iTunes can't create a library file it refuses to open and gives a message "Disk is locked" or "iTunes folder cannot be found". This is due to a registry problem in which the location of the My Music folder is not correctly set and iTunes uses this to determine where the iTunes folder should be.

If iTunes won't open when you remove the library file - it's worth giving that a go.
Was iTunes able to create a library file and culd you add music to it when you created a new user account? That shows whether the issue is a user specific issue or a more general problem. There are a couple of other things I am wondering about. -
iPod Classic 80GB. Message reads ' iTunes library cannot be saved you do not have enough access privileges for this operation'. It says it has synced but it hasn't. Please help, I am not very tech minded.
See this article about troubleshooting the error message regarding access privelages. It may be preventing your iTunes library from being able to save/retain music you have recently imported to it, which may explain why no new content is being added to your device.

Sounds like a Windows user privelidge problem. Are you using an administrator account on the PC?

The error msg "The iPad "User's iPad" cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." appears when I connect my ipad to itunes. How to resolve?
If you're running Windows, close iTunes, right-click on the iTunes icon and choose Run as Administrator, then try syncing again.

Just recently getting error message when downloading podcasts. Says "The iTunes Library file cannot be save. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." Doesn't happen every time. Using Windows 7. What can I do? The files seem to be there but I don't know if they are being backed up to cloud.
Hi, DickmoAZ.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
This sounds like a permission issue most likely with the iTunes Media folder. Here is an article that will help you troubleshoot this issue.
