A215-S7422 03-EEEE-0000 recovery error

Had to install a new HDD. Purchased recovery disks. Followed the "tosimagex" procedure that seem to work - 100%.
When tosimagex ends - what is the next step I should do? The new HDD has only one partition with the "temp" folder on it.

I had a bad HDD. I installed new one. I started the recovery process booting from Disk 1 of 2 .
I was able to to get to the screen that asks if you want to use "Toshiba Recovery Wizard" - clicked on next and got the following error 03-EEEE-0000.  I found out that this error seems to be common and one of the solutions was to
Select System recovery options (instead of Recovery Wizard)
Select "US English"
Select Command Prompt and then
Copy the \zzimages\zzimages directory for all recovery discs to a temp directory on the hard drive (c:\temp).
Change to the Bin directory on the first recovery disc and run
"tosimagex /apply c:\temp\preinst.swm 1 c:\ /ref c:\temp\preinst*.swm" without the quotes.
tosimagex seem to work - processed 10 preinst files
I can boot up from a different Vista recovery CD and look at the C drive - it contains "windows, users, program files, etc"
But I never went thru the normal recovery process - no formatting of the HDD was done.
Since the normal recovery process will not run - I need to format and create partitions and boot area on the new HDD before I run the above tosimagex process.
Any ideas on how to do this?  I can't run a cloning process since the original HDD is unreadable.
thank you

  • Satellite A215 S7422 no longer boots up!

a215 s7422 no longer boots up. Thought it was bad HD so put in new one and loaded recovery dvd but still no boot up. Could it need a new cmos? please advise. Thanks.

Ok, I press the power button, power light goes on, DVD drive gives 2 motor tries, then nothing - screen stays black and it just sits with power light on.
For a while it would do this but if I kept trying it would eventually boot up. Not anymore.
I thought it might be HD so I popped in a new one, put the recovery disk in the DVD drive and tried.  DVD disk spins but screen stays blank and no boot up.
In both cases the HD indicator light does not light at all - no activity.

  • Satellite A215-S7422 - missing NDTRL

I have this laptop model Satellite A215 S7422 and I was using it had just typed a note on it, laid it down to get a printer to hook up to it.
When I came back it was in screen saver mode and would not come out of it.
Turned it off and tried several things it will turn on and boot up but then I just get a black screen with the curser in the corner just blinking.
My son took it and remove all the system of hard drive. So now it says missing NDTRL or what ever that operating system is.
The recovery disc won't help it does nothing for my computer.
Can I find a operating disk for this to fix my computer? Thanks

    Hi
I think you have to reinstall the OS again.
Seems the OS cannot be started.
In my opinion you have to reinstall the OS.
I dont know why you are saying that recover disk cannot help you
Usually you should be able to restore the OS using recover disk.
Put it into the ODD and boot from this disk to start the recovery process.
Otherwise you can use an original MS Windows disk.
The drivers are on the Toshiba European driver page.

  • Windows 8 Recovery Error - 0xc00000f

    Hi All
I currently have a HP Pavilion 14-b030tu Sleekbook. What happened was the initial harddrive that came with the computer died and i was unable to clone the recovery partition for it. What i did was i called HP Support and they send me Recovery CDs for my laptop.
Since i currently do not have a external DVD drive i decided to copy and merge the contents of each disc onto a 32GB USB formatted as FAT32. What happens is everytime i try and boot the USB with Legacy Support Enabled and Secure Boot Disabled and vice versa it always says
    Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed.
    Error code: 0xc000000f
The new HDD is formatted as GPT and currently has a clean Windows 8 install on it. Ive set the USB Partition Type as Active but it still has the same problem.
    Anyone got any ideas?

The failure ID that you have provided for the memory test means that the Checksum has failed. This means that it is not finding a part that should be available, but is not showing. After taking a look into the issue of the memory test failing, the most likely cause of the failure is one memory modules has failed. I have included a link to another HP Forum thread here. Please follow the steps that DavidPK has outlined.
For the recovery error message that you are getting, this means that an integral component used during startup can not be found. This error should resolve itself once the memory Checksum error is resolved.
If your notebook has two memory modules, you should be able to boot from the one memory module until the other one is replaced.
Please let me know the outcome of the troubleshooting, thank you.

  • Windows 7 System Recovery Error 0x800700b7

    Hello
I have a HP NoteBook G62-225DX and it is not starting up (I am getting the blank screen with the cursor on top).
I tried putting the Windows 7 CD (64-bit) and do a System Restore to an earlier point but for every restore point I am getting "Windows 7 System Recovery Error 0x800700b7" and no restore is happening.
Whata is the solution - Reinstall The OS ?
    Regards
    Abdul G

Enter BIOS by tapping away at the F10 key immediately after powering on.Use Diagnostics to test the hard drive. If all tests are ok, try Restore again..if no joy, then a full System Recovery may be needed.

  • Drivers for Windows XP - Satelite A215-S7422

Cant find drivers for windows XP for Satelite A215-S7422, Can I help me?

Honestly yes, I've installed the chipset
I've got it from MSI, for A215-S7422 the chipset is M690V as mentioned on Specification.
There are 4 variants for this type, but I am not sure it's for Notebooks. I think it's for PC-Desktop.
    For your information,
It work unproperly. Some keyboard button doesn't work at all, e.g : Fn+Brightness ; Fn+Mute; Fn+Display Mode; etc.
You said "But is this really important if all your devices are working properly?"
I say : not to really important, but I like a perfect one and normal condition.
Please, waiting for your advice Master.

Download the  full install file including all supported languages (449MB) instead of files by language. It worked for me.

  • Bluetooth driver A215-S7422

Help, I have an A215-S7422 and am trying to install a bluetooth mouse. Although the spec sheets show a bluetooth mouse available I can't seem to install the microsoft mouse. The bluetooth drivers seem to be missing, can anyone help me?

The bluetooth drivers seem to be missing, can anyone help me?
    Satellite A215-S7422
According to the specs above, there is no Bluetooth hardware in your machine.
The Bluetooth items listed are optional accessories. Toshiba, for instance, suggests that you add Bluetooth hardware using the PA3624U-1BTM USB Adapter.

  • Satellite P850 Recovery Error: 0003

I've tried to restore my Toshiba Satellite P850 to out-of-the-box state. I ordered the Product Recovery Media directly from Toshiba. Following the 4-part dvd initialisation and file-copying process, the recovery wizard attempts to install Windows 8 onto the hard drive. Approximately 70% through, the process fails and displays:
    Error: 0003
    Recovery error.
Please prees [OK] to turn off the computer.
Hard drive (WinDFT) and memory tests (MemTest86) have passed. Multiple installation attempts - each failed. Complete format and repeated installation also failed.
Is there an issue with the recovery media? Could the hard drive require replacement (despite WinDFT passing)?
    Any help truly appreciated.

    eagle3,
For completeness, and anyone experiencing the error issues mentioned above, we've finally come to a conclusion.
With replacement of HDD seeming more and more likely, I replaced the HDD with an existing (smaller) SATA drive i had at home, this would act as the test case to determine whether purchase of a new drive would be worthwhile?
Utilising recovery media, the process was smooth, efficient and seamless. Most importantly, error free.
The drawback is the user will need to replace the hard disk.
I want to thank you for all your suggestions as well as assistance.

  • Windows vista recovery error CTOERROR.flg and following that error 0x643 while installing update

    Hi All
    system info : HP LAPTOP DV6 -1256tx , windows vista sp1 32 bit
When I am trying to install windows vista sp1 from recovery disks/partition I am getting the error from recovery manager prompting me to choose either to retry or see the details for failure : CTOERROR.flg in form of notepad on my desktop. I have done retry 100 times but to no avail. I cannot restart after this recovery failure message as it shows dialog box on restart: windows security update is not installed successfully or is not trusted. So, i have to go through recovery process again to see the desktop (everything functioning - internet, video, music all) but only once.
Last time i got this message too . When i did installing windows from recovery disks few months back, that time  i figured out to install all imp. updates  through  automatic  windows update. All the updates were installed successfully and then it restarted and gone through process of language settings, time settings and all....
But this time when i am trying to update windows, i am getting windows update error 0x643 which is for security update for .net framewrok 3.5 sp1 and family update.I do know the answer how to get away with this error from "windows help" and also from this forum too, which asks for installing .net framework updates from windows update site directly. But the problem is:
Windows update ask me to restart after automatic or manual windows update installation takes place and restart causes problem as it shows dialog box - windows security update is not installed successfully . I need to install all updates in one go like last time from my understanding.:
    1. So if i install windows update (to try my luck as last time) it shows 0x643 error for .net framework and asks to restart and after that when i try to manually install failed updated 0x643 it asks me to restart the windows for pending updates.
    2. Alternatively, If i try to install failed update first just after recovery failure it won't allow me to install important updates for vista sp1 and asks to restart windows.
All i need is to successfully update all updates through windows automatic update which is not happening at the moment.
Not even able to upgrade to sp2 bcz it too restarts for installing.
    Please Help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Mario-L,

  • HP Recovery Error

Product Name: HP Pavilion dv6 6119tx
    Product Number: QB365PA#ACJ
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Error Message: "Restoration Incomplete. Please select one of 3 options: Save Log, Details, Retry"
I have a set of recovery discs. I have tried Factory reset on my system(using CDs) and thus my entire HDD has been formatted. While doing the recovery the progress the progress bar always stopped at 40%(tried 3 times), I even waited patiently for 4 hours to let the process finish but ultimately got the error:" Destination drive not found". I did HDD tests and found everything OK.
The recovery manager worked fine till 25% and then it asks to insert the 2nd disc after which it again works fine till 40%. The process always stucked at 40%! So, I though there could be a read error associated with the 2nd disc. So I tried to copy the disc#2(on desktop) using ImageBurner and it reported a read error after 63% copy; which confirms there's a problem with ths disc#2.
But I don't know how, MagicISO maker was successfull in copying the disc#2 and so I burned the image on a new blank disc. I again started the recovery process and this time it didn't stuck anywhere! So, after successfully copying data from all the 3 recovery discs, I got a prompt to click on continue button for restart(normal, no error). But after restart, the problem starts: cmd appears for 3-4 secs then a sreen appears saying: "Restoration Incomplete. Please select one of 3 options: Save Log, Details, Retry"
After clicking on "Retry", it prompts me to enter recovery media. I enter the disc#1 and the it prompts me to click on continue button to restart. After restart, again the  cmd appers, this time something different written on it: "upDrvLetter: C:".
It waits for 3 secs, then shows some error lines like "file not found"(all this is printed in cmd). Then finaaly I again get the "Restoraton Incomplete" error with same 3 options. I again clicked on "Retry", "Continue", again same cmd screen with "upDriveLetter: C:" and blah-blah-blah!
What to do? After all this, I have performed an erased operation using KillDisk(writes the block 00 on every byte of the sector. I spent 3 hours for that). Performed HDD tests and memory test using BIOS. And again tried recovery with my recovery discs, but no succes! Again samething happens!
What shall I do now? I don't want to purchase a new set of recovery discs. Please tell me some alternative to this. What can O do with the damageg or corrupt disc#2?
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
Assuming that this is an error with the Recovery Discs, there is a straight forward work around if you have ( or can borrow ) a retail Windows 7 installation disc that is exactly the same version as your OEM installation - ie as your notebook came with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit this is the exact retail version you would need.
If you don't have access to a retail disc, you can create an installation disc yourself - just download the correct Disc Image from the link below and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here.  Digital River is an outlet for Microsoft, so the Images are clean and I've used this method many times.
    Windows-7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit
Use the disc to perform the installation, enter the Windows activation key found on the underside of your notebook when requested and when the installation has completed, use the 'Phone Method' detailed in the link below to activate the OS - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who just want a clean installation of Windows 7 without the additional software load normally bundled with OEM installations.

Any additional drivers and software you may need can be found Here.
