A2DP bluetooth problem

I have a problem with connecting to an A2DP enabled bluetooth headset, my 8520 connects and I can stream audio via bluetooth, my wife's 8520 which has the same software (apart from the branding version - both Virgin phones bought at the same time) cannot - the device is shown as connected but music plays from the phone speaker.
AVRCP works because skipping tracks on the headset works on the 8520.
I've checked the profiles and other than some syntax differences, they are the same.
By deleting and re-creating the profile, I've discovered the problem is that stereo audio is not ticked in green, I've looked but I can't find this as an option.
Am I missing something or is this a phone specific bug?
Thanks in advance

Hello all - I'm looking for easier solutions for those who aren't familiar with terminal (and/or don't want the hassle)... but here's a temporary fix:

  • Nokia N78 Bluetooth A2DP Connection Problem

    Hi there!
My phone model is Nokia N78, type: RM 235, software version 30.011.
I got a SONY DRC-BT15 Bluetooth Receiver, which is like this one http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&lang...
Nokia N78 is said to support A2DP Bluetooth connection but how can I turn on the A2DP Bluetooth connection? Can anyone help me?
I have no problem pairing and connecting my N78 to SONY DRC BT-15 but the sound I hear through the SONY device is definitely not A2DP at all. The sound sucks. When I connect my SONY DRC-BT 15 with my MacBook, I can choose to listen by Mono or Stereo Mode, and when I choose the Stereo Mode(I guess it's what we call A2DP), the sound through the SONY device is good.
So how can make the SONY headset to connect to N78 via A2DP to listen to good music?
I have been trying for hours. This problem makes me crazy.
I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks for showing me the specifications and reminding me of the DRM issue. Just one more question: When there's no DRM issue, does the A2DP turn on automatically and connect to my bluetooth headset (which supports A2DP of course) automatically too? Or how do I switch to the A2DP connection mode on N78? I just don't know where to turn A2DP on!
    Thanks a lot.
Pairing provides the profile in a handshake protocol so yes, it should work.

  • Review A2DP Bluetooth Headset Sony HBH-DS200 with Leopard 10.5.1

    Hello, this is first post...
I'm sorry if my English is not perfect.
I wanted to buy a headset A2DP after discovering that the Leopard supported .... so I decided to create a mini-review.
Yesterday I bought A2DP Bluetooth Headset Sony HBH-DS200
    Matching perfect
Stop / Pause link headphones perfect
Quality sound good but not perfect, but its is clear frequencies seem that the clips are (too high frequencies).
Now I wanted to try under bootcamp and see what result to arrive.
    At the next update.
PS: Some of you have tried this headset or other headphones a2dp? HTC S100? As a new feature of Leopard seconds you can resolve this problem? Thank you

I just bought the SE HBH-DS220. It sounds really good when connected to itunes as well as to my W910i. I cannot hear any noticable difference between this and when I have a wired connection to the computer or phone. If you turn the volume to max on the clip it even plays a bit louder through the headphones, which is just a plus in my book as they don't distort the sound at all.

  • How to Solve Wi-Fi or Bluetooth Problems on your iOS Device?

Do you have any problem with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your iOS Device? Please read these steps carefully and follow it!
These Steps that I am sharing are TESTED by 10 iOS users what had problems with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth or both and was successful
    - Please note that Resetting/Factory Resetting/Hard Resetting or Recovering or un-jailbreaking your device will not work at all -
To Solve Wi-Fi Problems Follow these steps (But before doing anything please restart your iOS Device and see if you still have network problems):
Step 1 Go to Settings > General > Reset > Rest Network Settings and Reset your Network Settings and wait until your device re-boots
Step 2 Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and see if you can connect to your Wi-Fi If you can't then go to next step
Step 3 Go to Settings > Airplane Mode and turn on Airplane Mode and shut down your device. Go to your network provider and ask to restart the Modem or do it your self (Just unplug power cord and plug it back in) You have to wait 30 seconds.
Step 4 Boot your device and go to Settings > Airplane Mode and this time turn if off and go to Wi-Fi and see if you can connect it again. If you can't then go to next step - Note: If you are going on to Step 5 it means that your device is experiencing Critical System Error that cannot be fixed easily -
Step 5 Go your laptop/desktop and open your browser then type this on the webpage search bar 192.168.0.1 and click enter. If it doesn't work then go and ask your network provider for an address for your modem/internet settings.
Step 6 Change your modem/internet settings to no password and make it "available/visible for everyone" and go to your iOS device and got to Settings > Wi-Fi and see if it works this time. If it still doesn't work go to next step - Note: If you are going on to the next step it means you are experiencing Critical System Error that had been cause by glitch/bug -
Step 7 Connect your iOS Device to iTunes on your laptop/desktop and update your iOS version -Note: this process if basically re-installing your operating system- If you can't update if because the new update if not available you have to wait for next update unfortunately
Step 8 After updating your iOS Device Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and see if it connects to your Wi-Fi. It normally fixes the problem but if it still doesn't, it means your device is experiencing hardware problem. Visit your local Apple Retail Store or reseller and ask them for complimentary/device-exchange/warranty help or go to Apple website for online support: www.apple.com/support/ for better support.
To Solve Bluetooth Problem all you need to do is resetting (not factory resetting) your device and see if it works, if it doesn't you will need to update your iOS or Google for more technical troubleshooting because it could be your pairing device's problem. Visit www.apple.com/support/ for better support.
If anyone of you had these experiences and was successful troubleshooting please do share your experience. I will also be avaliable to answer your questions if you have one! Please do share your openions about my post if you have one

If you don't mind, would you do that for me please?

  • Bluetooth problems all around - Modem in the first row.

    Hi there,
I've got a really annoying problem with the Bluetooth Setup of my Mac. Like you can see in my system description, I use Mac OS X 10.5.6. For a long time I used my old mobile via Bluetooth and GPRS as a Modem. Now it was time for a change. I bought a new mobile which supports 3G (Nokia 5800 Xpress Music).
I used the Bluetooth Wizard and told him to use all possible bluetooth functions of my device. I looked in the internet for the right configuration (APN, CID,...) and choosed to use the Nokia GPRS/3G Modem script which is preinstalled in Mac OS X (I also tried another one from www.taniwha.org.uk, it didn't work either).
The very strange thing is, the first connection worked without any problem, but after disconnecting and reconnecting it didn't work anymore. Instead I've got a message that the RFCOMM-Channel can't be opened.
I tried to fix the problem myself by searching wrong settings in some plists, but although I restored the original settings after recognizing that my changes didn't work, I've got a new problem.
Now the status symbol of the bluetooth modem always shows up that no modem configuration could be found, although I can still try to connect via Network -> Bluetooth. Of course it doesn't work this way too.
Sometimes the bluetooth modem works once after a reboot ( not after every reboot ). But only once!
File Transfer always works! The Nokia Multimedia Transfer also always works.
I definitely need advice of some of you, experts.
I'd love to hear from you!

    Hi,
sorry, but the problem isn't solved yet. I tried different things but nothing helped:
I backuped and deleted the following Files:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/Preferences.plist
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
    /Users/benutzername/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.BluetoothHASH.plist
But it didn't help. In fact it made things worse. Therefore I restored the backuped files.
I deleted all bluetooth devices and installed just my new phone a bunch of times. - No change at all.
I used FSEventer to control the Filesystem Access. That leaded me only to the files mentioned above.
    In the log-file:
    /private/var/log/ppp.log
is the following error message logged:
Failed to open /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Modem: Resource busy
Up until now, I don't understand why this resource is busy.
I figured out, that the modem works using a USB-connection. That isn't a satisfying solution but it works for now.
Nevertheless I am still really interested in resolving the Bluetooth problem.

  • Bluetooth problem Yosemite

I bought a new iMac 21,5 with wireless keyboard and the Magic Mouse.
I've been using it for about two weeks now and everything was working fine, until i installed the new OSX Yosemite when it released.
Now, about 10x an hour the computer loses the bluetooth connection with the keyboard.
This is very annoying, since i use it for 3D drawing, and everytime it loses connection, i have to fill in the numbers again.
I've read on the internet that a lot of people share these problems.
Is Apple coming with a solution or update? Or can i fix this myself?
Read something about resetting RAM etc as well. But since my computer is new, I dont think that'll do it.
    Thank you very much.

I had the bluetooth problem where my MacBook Pro wouldn't reconnect to my external bluetooth keyboard after the initial connect when I upgraded to Yosemite. I found the solution in another thread from nashntk:  "everything were solved by resetting SMC Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)."
So far, the SMC reset fixed all of my bluetooth issues after the Yosemite upgrade. And it seems to be an ongoing solution as one reset has allowed me to disconnect and reconnect again multiple times.

  • Airport & Bluetooth problems after 10.4.7 update

(Note: I posted this in the Tiger forums and after no response, thought I'd try here.)
    Greetings,
After updating to 10.4.7, my iMac G5 20" iSight exhibits occasional loss of signal strength in the Airport and poor or lost Bluetooth connections with the wireless keyboard and mouse.
The Airport and Bluetooth problems happen together at the same time. I can see the Airport signal strength drop and seconds later the mouse starts becoming slow and I usually lose connectivity with my keyboard. After about 10 minutes, signal strength returns on both.
The system is well isolated from interference, the cordless phone is a 5 ghz unit, and all cellphones have been removed from the room, but the symptoms continue. The wireless G router is only 3 meters away in the same room.
I reapplied the combo 10.4.7 updater, repaired permissions, cleaned caches using Applejack, zapped the PRAM and reset the SMU but the problem still happens.
Any suggestions? It is driving me crazy.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'll add a "here, here". I have a 20" iMac G5 (1.8 GHZ). Since applying 10.4.7 I have had Bluetooth disappear twice. Disappear as in: keyboard and mouse no longer function and the bluetooth icon in the menu bar disappears. Power cycle works to recover the system. A far from elegant workaround.

  • Bluetooth problem in ideapad s210 touch windows 8.1 and audio problem

    Hi .. i have lenovo s 210
i have a problem with audio output, the sound is muted and it said that my bluetooth audio device can not be started. i download realtek High definition from the support system and the audio system start working again. But when i check the device manager the bluetooth problem still not fixed. It said i had a code 10 problem. I just recently update my windows to 8.1, but before there is no problem with the audio... and recently i find out that i can not use my bluetooth too. and all the bluetooth system seems doesn't work out
    what should i do??
    thanks

Actually, I solved this issue myself after a while.
I induced a system restore prior to the date when I began to experience this error.
It then happened once more, so I went to the "PC Settings" menu and selected "Update and recovery".
There were apparently updates to be installed, so I clicked "More details/information", and found that there were 3 Intel-related drivers that were listed, but for some reason, Windows 8 didn't automatically install them, so I checked each one of them and proceeded to install them and it has been smooth sailing for me ever since that.
    SO.
A piece of advice for all those who have experienced the issue I detailed in my former post:
Check what updates need to be installed on your computer in the "PC Settings" app thing, and see if there are any driver-realted updates (like for your graphics card, especially).

  • Bluetooth problem on iOS 6!

I have Beats Wireless, and since upgrading to iOS 6, has presented problems with the bluetooth connection. I was wondering if anyone has this problem and if Apple will make a new update to fix this problem.
    Thank You.

I have bluetooth problem with Creative Sound Blasteraxx SBX 20 when I upgraded iphone4, ipad2 and ipad3 to ios 6.
There seemed the bluetooth session is prone to some interruptions. The music stopped playing but the bluetooth session is inact. The sound blaster has blue led and iphone4 show " connected". I will to reset by turning off the bluetooth and reconnect again. Then only will the music from iphone4 is played at sound blasteraxx SBX20. I have to kept doing this again and again when the music stopped. This does not happen before the upgrade. I used Creative BT-D5 a bluetooth socket connector to iphone4 and paired it with Sound Blasteraxx SBX20. I played for hours without any session being lost. I have seen iphone wifi suddenly went from "connected" to " not connected" in iphone4 setting. Before upgrade the disconnection would never appear on its own. I suspect the ios bluetooth and wifi are prone to interruption and they cannot prrform automatically recovery. It needs manual reset to get bluetooth and wifi working.

  • A2DP Bluetooth Music Streaming

I've been able to stream music from my iPhone through my car stereo via a Parrot MK6000 hands free Bluetooth device and an iCombi A2DP Bluetooth adapter (Buy at Oakley.com). The iCombi is an adapter for iPods that have the same dock connections as the iPhone so the device works perfectly.
The Parrot device handles the communication between the stereo and the phone, muting the music and allowing the call to be received, while the iCombi adapter provided the music streaming, again that is interrupted when a call comes in.
The biggest draw back is the that you can't charge the iPhone while you have the iCombi adapter attached.
The iCombi adapter also allows you to use Bluetooth headphones to listen to music.
This is a not a perfect configuration, I have experienced some glitches such as the music continuing to play while I receive a call, it still works well enough until Apple provides and update that embraces A2DP Bluetooth.
    Regards,
    Bob Petersen

A nice suggestion that I may go with but I'm still interested in finding a wireless solution. I'd like to get in my car with music already playing on the phone and have the car stereo pick it up and play through the speakers, then receive a phone call hearing the caller through the car speakers and use a mic in car that would work for my part of the call. All wirelessly. Thats how it works in my wife's car but she has bluetooth so I'm trying to duplicate the capability.

  • Windows CP Bluetooth problem

I upgraded to Windows 8 CP from Windows 7 but bluetooth connection with my phone is not working after the upgrade.
Sending files from phone to PC is not possible with the error message "Unable to connect" though the PC 'sees' the presence of the phone. Any bluetooth driver available for Windows 8 yet?

Yeah, I am having bluetooth problems with an M5-481PT laptop.  I can get it to work, but it's klugey. I also have Qualcomm Atheros (nearly 3 years old) and I suspect the Qualcomm Atheros since bluetooth speaker connection was always wonky in windows 8.1 as well. Acer promised to mkae the following link live on launch date.  As of this posting, it's still not up. http://www.acer.com/windows10now.#_ga=1.45153831.286910687.1437418497

  • HT3887 Can the iPad connect to an A2DP bluetooth device?

Is the ipad2 compatible with A2DP Bluetooth devices.

OK. On your computer, go to Control Panel, Network and Internet, Set up a new connection or network.
At the bottom of that window, you'll see:
Set up a wireless ad-hoc (computer to computer) network
Set up a temporary network for sharing files or an internet connection.
Click to highlight this and click on the NEXT button.
    It will ask you for
    Network name (create your own),
Type security (check your Op-Area requirements. I recommend WPA2)
Security Key (required for a secure network)
From there, it will start setting up the new network and step you through it.

  • To Nokia - Bluetooth problems or 6300 and 3110

    Dear Nokia,
Please, please you are killing everyone with your Nokia bluetooth phone incompatiblity.
What do you guys intend to do?
Do you acknowledge there is a problems.
I bought a 6300 when I lost the best Nokia ever phone 6230i.
The bluetooth connectivity is appalling.. Echoes and cut outs plague the receiver of your call.
So far bought BH200 useless, HS26W Jabras do not work, and BH100 does not work.
I then thought it was the phone, but so bought another 6300 it also has the same problems.
I then bought the 3110 classic which actually has a lovely keyboard layout. The phone is great, but the bluetooth problems are the same/ slightly better.
Nokia Uk are not helpful... They just say return the phone to o2. They live in denial...curse on their houses.
Nokia has beeen very sloppy on this bluetooth issue. They will kill their business. They have lost my loyalty...
I am now faced with buying a Samsung. Sonys are terrible and Blackberrys are too small to use in a moving car.
My hi-tech friend says it is incompatible bluetooth software on the phone. Nothing you can do till NOkia acknowledge the problem and send out a new patch..
Edit: removed e-mail addressMessage Edited by scousermodman on 25-Sep-2007 11:10 AM

I am also having the same problem.
    I have a 6300 and a Samsung WEP150 headset.
The headset works fine with My SonyEricsson W810i and I can also transfer contacts between the W810i and the Nokia 6300 using bluetooth but for some reason the 6300 can't see the headset.
Seems like Nokia haven't got thier bluetooth implementation quite right (At this point it seems the most likely cause). If they can provide a solution I'll be very happy to be wrong.
I'll let you know if I find a solution.
