A2DP in 10.5? Nothing on the list of new features

I am looking at all of the new features in 10.5, and I don't see this anywhere. Other than rumor/speculation, has anyone received confirmation from apple that this will be supported without 3rd party hacks?
How about support for the zillions of bluetooth phones that can be used as modems. Once again, 3rd party scripts are nice, but I would hope that Apple will support these. I hate to say it, but WinTel machines are more plug and play nowdays than many apple products (please see this apple and include these features!)

A2DP was in the betas of 10.5, so unless Apple removes this feature from the final version, it should be there.
You can't really expect Apple to test +"the zillions of bluetooth phones that can be used as modems"+. Apple has built the functionality in to the OS, and it is designed to be extendable via modem scripts, plugins etc. That's where the developer community or phone manufacturers come in.
WinTel machines don't come out-of-the-box with support for zillions of phones - the phones themselves are provided with support from the manufacturers on a CD. So really, you should be asking the phone manufacturers why they don't do the same for Mac users, especially as the functionality is already in the Mac OS.

How can I show the name in the list of new messages rather than the address

I have noticed something weird in Apple mail. In the list of new messages, the FROM field sometimes shows the email address rather than the name of the sender (even if that sender is in my address book). Because of this, when I search for some users, I can search by name but for others I must search by email address. However, in the FROM field when I actually open the message, the full name is always in the field rather than the email address (if the contact is in my address book at least).
Here's a screenshot that illustrates what I am talking about.

(notice that in the message list it says from [email protected] but in the message view below, it says from Tony XXXX
My question is: Is there any way to display the actual name in the FROM field in the list of new messages rather than the email address, in the same way it is displayed when I actually open the message? I can't seem to find any settings that fix this.

Looking for list of new features in 11.2

I have been trying to find a list of the new features, if any, that have been released with 11.2. Would anyone have a link the new features documentation?

The first link below is to the 11.2 new features guide. The second link below is supposedly the 11.2 new features for Oracle Text, however the only new features listed are for 11.1 and prior, so it appears that either there aren't any new Text features in 11.2 since 11.1 or they left them out.

Follow-up to archived thread "Another Error (I think) In the 12.1 New Features Guide"

Note that with the New Features Guide, most of the content is automatically drawn from an internal system that tracks projects and features; so if a change is needed, the writer will notify the owner of that content (typically a developer or a product manager) to investigate and (if necessary) modify the underlying data, after which the changed information will be picked up for a future revision of the book.
Also, while anyone is welcome to enter documentation comments in this forum, another option that may be more convenient for comments on specific sections is the Reader Comment area at the bottom of each HTML page (such as http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16655_01/server.121/e17906/chapter1.htm#NEWFT495 for the page containing Section 1.5.9.8). Any comments entered in a Reader Comment area go to someone in our documentation production group, who forwards them to the appropriate writers.

Is there a web version of the list of apps featured in the iTunes App Store?

I like seeing the apps that Apple features in their App Store, like their Collections, or Best of 2013, or their category lists (like "Get in Shape" for the Health category). However, I think the store is a little clunky and I just want to quickly browse latest apps.Is there a web-based version of these lists or are they listed on Apple's website anywhere?

The only Apple sites that I know of are less useful than using iTunes itself (or Mac App Store if you are referring to Mac Apps), they only list apps alphabetically or by popularity :

Why does the new iOS 7.1 not show all your calendar entry's like 7.0 only shows daily entry's not the list. New software on iPad still shows all calender entry's

New iOS 7.01 iPhone 5. When you go to check you calendar entry's it does not bring up all the entry's only shows entry's for each day. Why?

When in month view, swipe up or down to change the month, tap the litle icon "three lines horizontal" next to the search icon, and you have a list view of all events. Clicking the icon twice again, brings up the Day view, and then again tapping twice the list view again....
Personally I am not very happy with this "advanced" app, and I have installed Week calendar which basically is another interface to the same calendars database.

List of new features in update?

It would have been nice if Apple posted a feature list of what came with the new upgrade. I'm a little worried that a new feature such as buying ringtones came before contact search, contact categories, cut and paste or synchronization of notes. Does anyone else feel like Apple's priorities for feature upgrades is a little off the mark?
They added the ability to rotate the screen while viewing attachments, but you still can view a regular email in rotated mode. Is the API they have for their own phone so difficult to work with that they can't add tons of features easily.
I mean you can view excel and word documents which are attached to emails, but you can't sync documents from your computer? Even if they were read only, it would be a fantastic feature.
I've been pretty happy with the iPhone so far, but it seems like the other devices out there are going to be much more feature rich within the next couple of months.

I've noticed a couple new features are not at all obvious, like taking a screenshot or turning the calculator to get a scientific calculator. Is there a list of all the new stiff that came with the update?
And is there an rss feed of new apps?
Also does anyone elsenotice their opt typing way slower on this forum than on other pages?

Another Error (I think) In the 12.1 New Features Guide

Under section 1.5.9.8 Storage Snapshot Optimization:
The first bullet point is: "Database crash is consistent at the point of the snapshot."
I think that is supposed to be: "Database is crash-consistent at the point of the snapshot."
At the very least, that seems to make more sense to me. Googling around, there was a document on these features by EMC with that wording.

You went to the top of the itunes screen and clicked "Music", then looked on the right side under "Music Quick Links", then looked for "Just Added"?

List of new features in PSE11 vs. PSE10

Does anyone know where I can get a comprehensive list of features that are new in PSE11 relative to PSE10? I've seen the high level lists and videos. But I'm looking for a complete technical type list, not a marketing oriented one. I am interested in metadata handling, and the marketing lists never get down to that sort of thing.
Also, I understand that PSE comes out with a new version every September/October. Does anyone have any info on what will be in PSE12, particularly with regards to metadata handling?

I would be very much surprised if Adobe issued such technical type lists... especially for Elements. It seems that even for Photoshop or Lightroom, there is not much technical info in that metadata question.
