A2ZS Pro: WinXP/drivers for Lin

Hello,
I've been having issues with the card. Whenever I play music on my PC after a while I can hear a loooooooooong BEEP and the sound crashes. The only way to listen to music again is to restart Windows XP.
I have similar issues on Linux, though I don't need to reboot.
Q: where can I get drivers for Linux, I tried searching, no luck.
Q2: how to resolve the BEEP issue on Windows XP?
Thanks.

bumpety!
Is my post being ignored purposefully? Come on, it's been four (yes, 4) months since I first posted, I guess I have no more patience left.
If I called Creative support, would I also have to wait that long for anyone to notice? This is ridiculous.Message Edited by didka on -05-2005 05:06 AM

  • Where can I find WinXP Drivers for my Satellite P305D-S8828?

    Hello every1 from Turkey.
I want to downgrade my Vista to WinXP Pro because of some reasons.
But on Toshiba driver page, I cannot find my laptop and of course Win XP drivers I bought my laptop from USA with a bargain price. Its P305D-S8828
    http://explore.toshiba.com/laptops/satellite/P300/P305D-S8828
My question is simple. How can I find XP drivers for my Laptop? Toshiba USA only has a few drivers that I dont really need.
    I need your help.
    Thanks from now
    EMRAH

    Hi
As you said this is a Toshiba US notebook and if you need some drivers, you should take a look on the Toshiba US driver page.
Unfortunately, it seems that the US page does not provide the XP drivers at this time.
But dont give up buddy from my own experience many different notebooks are equipped with the same devices. So usually the drivers from other series could be compatible too.
Therefore you could try to collect some XP drivers which were released for other series like P300/P305.
    Check it out!

  • MacBook Pro keyboard drivers for Windows 7 guest under Snow Leopard

I am running Snow Leopard along with Vmware Fusion 3.1. MY guest machine is 64bit Windows 7 (I have tried 32 bit but have the same problem)I am unable to change the keyboard in Windows to anything other than 'Standard PS2' so the key mapping is hopeless. I have installed the bootcamp keyboard drivers but can't find them on the system anywhere. All I really want is a .inf file for Windows 7!!!
    Any suggestions gratefully received!!

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
The Snow Leopard disc that came with the computer has got Boot Camp 3 drivers, and the latest drivers for your Mid 2009 MacBook Pro are Boot Camp 4. As you are using OS X Lion, you can download them from Boot Camp Assistant or from the Support page > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1630

  • WinXP drivers for Ethernet/SCSI combo card

    Hello,
I have a combo Ethernet/SCSI card which I am using under Windows XP. While the SCSI part is detected and working under XP, the Ethernet Card is not.
I booted Linux to get a little more information about the device:
03:00.0 Bridge: Sun Microsystems Computer Corp. EBUS (rev 01)
03:00.1 Ethernet controller: Sun Microsystems Computer Corp. Happy Meal (rev 01)
03:01.0 SCSI storage controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic 53c875 (rev 04)
WinXP does not find any drivers for the PCI bridge and the Ethernet controller. Are there any drivers available anywhere?
    Thanks for any help.

Instead of chasing for an unavailable driver (Sun doesn't supply a Windows driver for the hme), get an another Ethernet card.
Ethernet cards for PCs are inexpensive, these for SPARC systems are a lot more expensive.
Edit: I don't know why I initially suggested to get an Ethernet card that is on the HCL.

  • Missing WinXP drivers for Satellite A300/A305

I bought a satellite a305-s6829 in US. I changed the OS to XP.
    My problems re the following:
    1) i have 3 devices that remain unknown and Toshiba USA has published incomplete XP drivers for this model.
I don't know which hardware are not functioning and have no idea how to identify them. At first I installed a program that's supposed to identify these unknown devices but it lists all the hardware in the laptop! So how am I supposed to know which ones are unknown.
The device list is long and it is kind of difficult to isolate the unknown devices.
    2) I am unable to find the ACPI Common modules for Win XP for this model. Is there a compatible ACPI module for the A300/A305 from other models?
I am unable to install the other important utilities for the laptop since I don't have this, e.g. power management.
    3) Ever since installing XP, I am experiencing BSOD.
I am not sure what's causing it. Maybe it is related to no. 2, i don't know. Has anyone else experienced this?
Can somebody help me with these issues?
    Thanks
    -yazunuri-

I had as of sept 12/2008 the same problem with a satellite A305, spent weeks finding drivers for XP, thought I had them all and installed the OS from 0, Everything worked great... at least I thought so. Then I noticed no "fn" keys working for turning down the brightness of the screen and preventing the system from draining the batteries, so looked for hours for the solution. Downloaded through the support page:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp
The drivers you are supposed to download for Windows XP are: common module, hotkey and zooming utility. Be careful there are two versions of hotkey available. Only one works so just try them, now I have amore decent way to switch between monitors, and controlling the brightness. When you turn off brightness goes back to the highest.... but it works, I can even suspend or hibernate my system.
I don't know why Toshiba keeps telling people that my system had not such a driver for win XP, the truth is, it is not the best but works, and besides all the "conspiracy" of laptop manufacturers pushing us into Vista and us trying to resist, we have to fight in order to keep alive XP waiting for the final successor of XP to be born. I am a Microsoft fan but... no comments about Vista anymore, just switch to XP and enjoy having your system ready (full of applications) in only 1 minute and 40 seconds, hibernate it in 20, have it back and ready in 35, and the list of fast speeds of XP goes on and on.... hope you can solve the problem is just a matter of time to spend in front of your laptop.
IT CAN BE DONE, do not ask TOSHIBA, they'll tell you cant.

  • Win 7 Pro chipset drivers for dc 7100

    Hi
I have a dc 7100 small form factor desktop running XP Pro. I wish to upgrade to Win 7 Pro but Windows Advisor says my chipset is not compatable. When I go to the HP download site for drivers the only drivers on the list are dated 2005. Where can I get the correct ones?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi, Steve:
Below is the W7 chipset driver for your PC.
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=861&DwnldID=20019&keyword=Chipset+inst...
Neither the dc7100 nor the dc7600 are supported by HP for W7 (although the dc7600 runs W7 just fine).
So, you will not find any W7 drivers provided by HP for either model.
The dc7100 has a problem if you have the onboard graphics.  It is not W7 capable. That is why the upgrade advisor is reporting the chipset is incompatible. It means the video chipset is incompatible and it is.
    You will never have Aero.
Install the above chipset driver first and reboot.
I have a a workaround to get the onboard graphics to work so you can change the video resolution and have graphics acceleration:
Download and run this Vista driver from the nc6120 notebook.  You will probably get an unsupported operating system error. Close out of any error windows.
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=US&swItem=ob-472...
Go to the device manager and expand the display adapters section.  Click on the standard vga adapter.
Click on the driver tab. Click on update driver. Select the Browse my computer for software method, and browse to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.
That will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Upon reboot, you should have decent graphics but no Aero.
If you want to run all the graphics features of Windows 7, you will need to purchase a W7 capable PCIe x16 low profile video card that includes a low profile bracket that will work with the 245W P/S in your PC.

  • Photosmart 6520 64bit drivers for windows xp pro

Can't turn up any drivers for my new 6520 on my older XP PRO 64 bit system...
    Any help out there  ?

    Hey RichardChambers,
    Thank you for your question!
Here's a link to the Driver page for the Photosmart 6520 e All-In-One for Windows XP
A common question is, "should I get the Full Feature driver or the Basic driver?" The best answer to that is try the Basic, first if you want. Then, if you find yourself wanting more features, download the Full Feature driver.
Let me know if you've got any other questions on that

You either download drivers from within Boot Camp Assistant and save to USB FAT disk, or you insert and use 10.6.x OS X DVD when in Windows and install and run the SETUP from there.

Step 4: Install the Boot Camp Drivers for Windows
After installing Windows, install Mac-specific drivers and other software for Windows using your Mac OS X installation disc.  The Mac OS X disc installs drivers to support Mac components, including AirPort,built-in iSight camera, the Apple Remote, the trackpad on a portable Mac, and thefunction keys on an Apple keyboard.
The Mac OS X disc also installs the Boot Camp control panel for Windows and theApple Boot Camp system tray item.
To install the Boot Camp drivers:
1 Eject the Windows installation disc.
2 Insert the Mac OS X disc.  If the installer doesn’t start automatically, browse the disc using Windows Explorerand double-click the setup.exe file in the Boot Camp directory.
    3 Follow the onscreen instructions.
If a message appears that says the software you’re installing has not passed Windows  Logo testing, click Continue Anyway.
Windows that appear only briefly during the installation don’t require your input.
If nothing appears to be happening, there may be a hidden window that you mustrespond to. Check the taskbar and look behind open windows.
Important: Do not click the Cancel button in any of the installer dialogs.
4 After your computer restarts, follow the instructions in the Found New Hardware  Wizard to update your software drivers (Windows XP only).
5 Follow the instructions for any other wizards that appear.
6 Check for updated Boot Camp drivers by using Apple Software Update or going to www.apple.com/support/bootcamp.
If You Have Problems Installing the Device Drivers
If it appears that the Boot Camp drivers weren’t successfully installed, try repairing them.
    To repair Boot Camp drivers:
1 Start up your computer in Windows.
2 Insert your Mac OS X installation disc.
3 If the installer doesn’t start automatically, browse the disc using Windows Explorerand double-click the setup.exe file in the Boot Camp directory.
4 Click Repair and follow the onscreen instructions.
If a message appears that says the software you’re installing has not passed Windows  Logo testing, click Continue Anyway.
If you need to reinstall specific drivers, you can install one driver at a time. For example,if your built-in iSight camera isn’t working, you can reinstall just the iSight driver.
Individual drivers are in the Drivers folder on the Mac OS X installation disc.
