A3000 flash player and camera issue...

I managed to get Adobe Flash Player installed onto my A3000, hoping to use it for Flash based chat rooms.
It now loads and operates Flash chat based rooms, however, when I try to use the video chat Flash says I have no camera.
ANyone know what I need to do and how to make it work?

If you want to report Flash Player bug, right location is here. If you report ActionScrit bug, JIRA is right place though.
By the way I belive this is not bug but expected behavior. I'll follow up more info in Flash Player forum: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/920682?tstart=0

  • Adobe Flash Player and trackpad scrolling issue?

I downloaded Flash Player to my mbp yesterday so I could watch some YouTube vids but after the d/l and install my trackpad scrolling became slightly jittery and skipped every so often. It does it on anyhing that is internet related only (safari, app store, itunes store etc.) It got annoying so I uninstalled Flash Player and no more skipping. Does anyone know a fix to the scroll skipping when Flash Player is installed? Maybe a setting that can be changed in flash system prefs? I would like to have it installed but if it is going to continue to make my scrolling skip then I guess I'll have to try to live with the skipping or just flat out live without flash on my mbp. I downloaded it directly from www.adobe.com and it was the latest version. I'm running ML on a mid 2012. Also could be an issue with ML being so new that adobe hasn't caught up yet?

I have similar problems.  It does seem to correlate to Flash running in Safari.  Works fine with Google Chrome but Chrome isn't as fast on OSX.

  • Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave crashing has disabled my computer

I have downloaded a second flash player and it is still the same. Firefox has been crashing daily for a few weeks. I noticed that your adblocker plus was updated 6/4. Since then I have almost no use of firefox, because the Adobe flash player 13.0.r0 and Shockwave crash notices are constantly popping up. Could that update have something to do with why the flash players are not working? Below are an example of the crash details.
Thanks for the help. I prefer your browser, but this has made it non-functioning.
In trying to fix it, a window came up that asked would I like to change it back to a previous working image, which was Windows XP. Although this computer is Windows 7, I clicked the box yes, and said I wanted it to work like Windows XP. I see in your Operating System below, that it reads Windows Xp, but this computer is actually Windows 7. I can't find that menu to change unclick and change it back, so that it is working as Windows 7.

AdBlock Plus isn't maintained or connected to Mozilla as they didn't develop it. ABP and Flash don't interfere with each other except on same cases that ABP blocks Flash content.

If that doesn't work try Try to disable Protected Mode in Flash 11.3 and above by adding the line ProtectedMode=0 to the Flash "mms.cfg" file located in one of these locations: [46]
    (Windows 32bit) C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash
    (Windows 64bit) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
For example, on a Windows 7 64-bit system, open the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder, copy the file "mms.cfg" to the desktop, open it in Notepad, add a new line <code>ProtectedMode=0 </code> and then close Notepad, saving your changes. Next, go back to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder, rename the original file to "mms.cfgBAK" (to save it as a backup) and then drag and drop in the modified "mms.cfg" file from the desktop. [47] [48] [49]
Note: To re-enable Flash Protected Mode, either restore a backup of the original mms.cfg file, if you saved one, or else re-edit the mms.cfg file to remove the <code>ProtectedMode=0 l</code> line you added. Updating Flash Player or installing a newer version does not automatically re-enable Protected Mode
Flash has been a pain since day 1 and Mozilla is currently working to replace Flash with Shumway. Unfortunately it's in the Nightly channel, doesn't come activated automatically and it isn't quite ready for normal usage. I just tested Nightly yesterday with Shumway and it wouldn't play.

  • All of the greeting card websites that I belong to use flash player and Apple doesn't allow it.  Is there another way to get a greeting card site to work on a Mac?

I recently purchased a Mac Book Pro.  I have had a PC for years.  I've discovered that Apple doesn't allow flash player and I have membership in two greeting card websites.  Now that I've already paid a yearly membership in both, I'm out of the money and I can't send cards.  Does anyone know of a program that will work with Apple?

Flash Player works just fine on a Mac. You're confusing the issue with that of iOS devices such as the iPhone and iPad, for which Adobe never came up with a viable version of Flash. Just download and install Flash Player from Adobe:

  • Installed latest 11.2 Flash Player and drmtest says I need to update

I installed the latest version of Flash but I still cannot watch video on Amazon Instant.  Contacted Amazon and uninstalled latest version and re-installed old version.  Still didn't work.  I updated Java.  Still didn't work.  I restarted the computer and it still doesn't work.  I re-installed the latest version of Flash and it still doesn't work.  I searched for "native cache" and finder doesnt' find any file by that name.   I went to the Adobe Flash Acess Sample Video Player and it says I need the latest version of Flash. But I HAVE the latest verson of Flash - so it's not Amazon or Mac its Adobe and this website is not very helpful so far.   Does anyone know why this product doesn't work? I've been troubleshooting and looking for help for 3 hours.
I am running on Mac OS X 10.6

Hello.  I have almost the same problem it seems.
I have reinstalled Adobe Flash Player (latest), used the Uninstaller from the website. It installs correctly.
Even tho it doesnt seem right when i check my programs installed.
Because before i had 2 Adobe Flash Player (i use CCleaner for this), I got the Adobe Flash Player Plugin 64-bit
and another at name Adobe Flash Player 11 something. And before i did the same thing as i did now.
But it should probably be only the Plugin one.
Anyways. When i try to watch Youtube videos, it won't use Flash Player at all. And Firefox says
i have Flash Player, and its up to date and everything.  But Youtube wont use it. Some do odd enough.
    Vimeo use it tho.
And now i came across this thread, and i tried that Profile thing you told. And it does work with a new profile.
With the same Youtube video (copy link from old Profile). So i guess it's the profile that's broken.
    Example of videos:
    Doesnt work:       http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3PMCD7aMRI&hd=1
    Works just fine:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ46Ot4_lLo&feature=related&hd=1
But how could i fix this then?  Cause i realy don't want to do a new profile and lose all the settings etc i have at the moment.
Would be realy awesome if you could provide a fix for me
I might have been unclear on some things, not that good at english at some points.
So just ask if you need more info and ill try to provide it for you.

  • Adobe Flash Player 9 Removal Issues

    Hi everyone,
I am attempting to upgrade Adobe Flash Player 9 to version 10 on my MacBook, and have been unsuccessful so far at both removing the old version and installing version 10. I have repaired disk permissions several times, restarted, even manually removed Flash Player 9, or at least I thought I did. The problem is that Flash Player 9 is still there, and while both the version 9 uninstaller and the version 10 installer appear to run successfully, I cannot seem to find version 10. Are there any steps I'm missing here? I'm relatively new to Macs, this is my first one since switching from Windows last year and haven't had any problems until now. FWIW, my Flash Player 9 came bundled with Adobe Flash CS3 if this is relevant to the situation.
Please let me know as any help would be appreciated!

Thanks Kappy for your quick response, sorry for not providing more information. I took your suggestion and manually removed the V9 plugin from the Internet Plug-Ins directory, and after running the Version 10 installer again, it now shows Version 10 as the default. I did do a quick directory search for "Flash Player" and found multiple copies of the old version in a couple of different directories (which I overlooked the first time around, d'oh!), so that might be what was causing the problem in the first place. I removed those additional copies and now Flash Player 10 is working flawlessly. Thanks again.

  • Adobe Flash Player and IE8

I am using Internet Explorer 8. I have tried to install Flash Player 10.2.152.32. It goes through the Installation Manager & appears to have done all the installation with no problems. I get no error messages & get an installation done confirmation, but it still doesn't work, I can't view any flash materials.  I have tried using the manual uninstall & install for flash player, same result.   I also check for shockwave.... add on on IE8 but is not available?   I am currently using windows xp 32bit sp3.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Mario

Hi, So you don't find the Shockwave Flash Object in all addon category under "Show"? If that isn't Installed, then that is why you can't view Flash Content. That is the Control for Flash Player and it's needed for FP to work.
When the Shockwave Flash Object isn't Installed, the reason can be several things. The Administrator Account that has the Permissions needed to Install Flash Player wasn't used. An Anti-Virus blocked the Install of it. A Virus active or has been removed. A Kill-bit is set in the Registry or just Registry Issues.
Have you had any Virus/Malware? If so what program removed it?
What Anti-Virus/Spyware program do you have Installed?
I would check first for the Kill-bit. This thread has info on it:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/782435?tstart=0
Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash  Open Flash and post back the files listed.
    I'll check your thread tomorrow.

Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. All of the Camera Raw technology is part of the Lightroom program. You will either have to upgrade to Lightroom 5 or use the DNG converter to create digital negative copies that can be used with Lightroom 4.

  • Flash Player Video Performance issue in IE 9.0.124

So everything was going fine until we got all users to update
their player to the new 9.0.124 version. We host HD videos on our
site and people love the quality we provide. Well at least until
now. Videos started to stutter while download is still in progress.
That is once the video is completely downloaded the stuttering
stops. This is seen only is IE (on Windows). On FireFox and Safari
(on Windows) this issue is not seen at all.
Now we have a ExternalInterface call back in the download
progress event that calls into a javascript method on the page.
This javascript method simply displays the information it gets as a
parameter. No complicated or tim consuming work is being done here.
After doing some tests we find that if we remark out the call
to ExternalInterface.addCallback the stuttering stops happening. So
it looks to me like something has changed (in this new version) in
the way the ExternalInterface stuff works, to the extent that it
    hampers video playback.

    Bentley,
Don't mean to shoot the messenger...so please take this in
    good faith.
I'd gladly log a bug if anything was ever done about it. I've
been logging bugs with Adobe on Flash player and Flex for two years
but these bugs are still outstanding and deferred to the next
release :). Releases come and go but the issues are outstanding.
These issues are show stoppers for a lot of people.
I see no point in me taking the extra effort if nothing is
going to be done about it. Other software companies I work with
    respond immediately.
Others, won't see the issue unless they're doing what we are
:). Things were working fine until we upgraded to the new player.
To me that's an issue that needs to be addressed no?
I'd gladly provide you with two links, one that shows this
issue and one that does not if it helps verify the problem.

  • How can I get Flash Player and install it?

    I29/Aug/2010 17:37
    TO: Adobe Forum
I am running Windows XP Home, and using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.8 as my browser.
When I go to download and install the latest version of Flash Player, the ONLY option I get is to quit. In other words, I cannot download and install Flash Player. This even occurs at Adobe's own website.
How can I get Flash Player and install it?
    Thank you in advance.
    Sincerely,
    Barry Karas

First, you can manually download the installer here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
Second. On both my Mac (OS 10.6.4) and My PC (Vista Home Premium) I have had nothing but trouble with Firefox 3.6.8 and Flash player, Flash apps and Flash sites that require access to web cam or microphone or both.
The last time Flash Player worked well with Firefox was 3.6.4, but I uninstalled 3.6.8 and went all the way back to 3.0 on both systems.
Just a heads up. If you download the manual installer, and it still doesn't work, it ISN'T the Flash Player. It's Firefox. IE, Opera and Safari all work with it.
Go to oldversion.com and get an older build of Firefox, uninstall 3.6.8, install the older one, go to Tools, and Options and turn off automatic checking for updates, so it doesn't try to take you back the the 3.6.8 "busted @$$ joint" that doesn't work worth poo.
Maybe when they release 3.7, Firefox will have their act together with Adobe and Flash Player.

  • Installing FLash player (and Creative cloud)

I am having trouble with Flash player and creative cloud. Most recently I have tried umpteen times to install Flash player and it wont work. I have run through uninstalling it. re installing it. ensuring it is enabled. and nothing. i have established that i DO have the current version on my computer through the \app\ through your website...its the 11.9 version. but when I try to use FB to upload photos, it says i have to install the latest version of flash.
I have also had the same issue with CC. I have a subscription and i have downloaded the desk top app, but I cannot see or access it. I have it listed in my control panel, under programs...but cannot see it anywhere else.
What else can I do? I am so frustrrated. mostly with these adobe products - they just dont seem to 'stay' on my comp. LR and PS both work - downnloaded from CC...but nothing else really!?
    Thanks so much

This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11 (which I can only assume you're using because this is where the FB problems occur), which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • Flash Player and .SWF

I am a new upcoming Web Designer. I created two web pages for
my web site, in Adobe Flash Pro CS3, and I published it for HTML
view. I upload it to the server the page would play but when I'd go
to click on the buttons that would link to the other pages of my
website, it would not go in. So at first my first thought that
there might have been some actionscript issue going on with the
flash buttons. But when I went to the original .FLA file on the
buttons it worked fine for the folder that it was in, so I figured
let me re-route these buttons to the actual website using the
website and its directory for the buttons to link. Still did not
work, as a matter of fact when I re-checked it again using the
browser this message box open up with this error message:"Adobe
Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operations the
following local application on your computer or network:
    C:\AD%20Creative%20Media%20&%20Designs\index.swf is trying to
    communicate with this Internet-enabled location:
www.andersondominique.com To let this application communicate with
the Internet, Click Settings. You must restart the application
after changing your settings." So I did clicked on the settings
button, which lead me to the this website but on a different page.
I changed the security settings like it asked me to for at least
100 times today, and I am not getting a different result. Can
somebody please help me! I really need to get this website up and
running properly its for me to get a job. Im desperate! If anyone
out there is familiar with this problem please answer me or better
yet email me at: [email protected] THANK YOU!

We've recently made a number of security-related changes to how UNC paths are handled in Flash Player, and in addition, have restricted some network requests from being made for locally-executed SWFs running with local-with-filesystem permissions.  These changes were necessary, as we found ourselves on the wrong side of a confluence of both old and emerging standards and conventions, and a very forgiving approaches to incorrectly constructed URLs in most major browsers.
Where we could, we added good debugging messages, so installing a an ActionScript debugger version of Flash and running the application might provide you with some useful clues; however, as complexity increases, I'm not convinced that using Flash Player to execute SWFs locally in the browser is going to be smooth sailing, and I anticipate that we'll see additional churn as we evaluate and align with the expectations of the modern web in this regard.
The good news is that we have Adobe AIR, which is designed to make it really easy to port your Flash Content, and it's specifically designed to build desktop applications, free from the complexity of browser plug-ins.  As a least-cost, long-term strategy, I'd strongly encourage you to evaluate porting your SWF over to AIR.  It may be as easy as just changing the publishing target in a current version of Flash Professional and distributing your application as an AIR payload instead.
Alternatively, you could stand up a local webserver and host both the content and the SWF.  The really hairy edge-cases stem from the fact that we're trying to support HTTP and UNC paths simultaneously.  If you're using HTTP, things are much, much more straightforward.
If you can narrow it down to the failing ActionScript call, I might be able to give you a more specific suggestion for a workaround.
