A75MA-P35 and ganged mode

Hi to all,
I've got this problem: I'm using a A75MA-P35 motherboard that seems to work fine, but in the first post message, about DDR mode, I read "GANGED MODE, 64 BIT".
Well, I use 2 sticks of Kingston DDR3 memory (freq. 1333 mhz). In similar boards I always see "ganged, 128 bit". can you please explain me the reason of those 64 bits (usually 64 for unganged mode, 64 + 64 for ganged)?
I tried two versions of bios (1.10 and 1.20)... same values
thanx for support
Paolo

Great!!! I supposed it was not a problem but a characteristic of my system...but did not find anything about this issue. You were able to do this... great.
by the way I repair and assembly pcs as a Job, and when I learn something new I'm happy
thanx again for your time and availability
peace,
Paolo
PS: I use this system as a "portable" little home audio recording station... reason, cubase ecc with an M-AUDIO Fast track USB.
This is the first time I use AMD for audio...no latency... good as a much more expensive INTEL

  • A75MA-P35 C6 Mode Problem

    Hi,
Just purchased a A75MA-P35 and amd 3500 Lano cpu and 8GB Corsair ram
And have a problem with my A75MA-P35 -( Problem when enabling C6 Mode in bios.)
Motherboard already had latest bios 1.2.
MSI Install CD was full of errors when i tried to install drivers,(totally corrupted,,(screwed) and lots of scratches on the surface.
I just downloaded from the internet drivers needed but still a pain.
When i enable c6 mode in bios and save and exit, Win7 starts after a few seconds, the computer Reboot's  and Reboots, etc.
As soon as i disable C6 Mode, computer start's fine.
is there a Problem with the bios and C6 Mode
Also CPU temperature in win7 reports 8c , i think is a bit on the cool side, is generally not a problem, but CPU fan never changes speed in windows.
If i run a game or something then the CPU is in fact red hot, simply because the temps being reported in win7 are only 8c and the computer mobo thinks the fan speed
doesn't need to go any faster.
I have the fan speed set to increase when the CPU hits 40c , the lowest temp setting in bios but the CPU fan  never changes speed.
Don't know if its just my motherboard or a general problem with this mother :bonk:board.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated..
    Many Tks..

Ok svet tested beta bios E7697AMS.14A
Sorry to tell you that Reboot Loop error when starting win7 is still there in Bios test E7697AMS.14A
Tested with C6Mode enabled (Reboots when starting win7)
Tested with C6Mode Disabled (Reboots when starting win7)
Tested with svm Disabled ( Reboots when starting win7)
Tested with cool and quiet Disabled (Reboots when starting win7)
Windows 7x64 Reboots after about 3 seconds when you see the win7 flashing icon in center of screen
and will continue to repeat Reboot etc.
So it looks like bios E7697AMS.14A is worse than the Latest Official Bios 7697v12.
We tried svet, i will pop back here every day to see if we can get a fix.
    Many tks svet..
The Test bios E7697AMS.14A has been installed correctly in dos mode , bios reset with jumper on motherboard before testing E7697AMS.14A.

  • Eithernet problems with A75MA-P35

I am having trouble with the network adapter on my A75MA-P35 FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3).  I purchased the motherboard on March 9, 2012. It has been working fine until today. I am running Windows 7 64bit. The network connection would be on for a minute when the computer boots but then windows shows that it becomes disconnected, but the lights on the port still remain solid on. Windows driver says that the drivers are working fine. I swapped network cables that is working fine with another computer but the problem still remains on this computer. Is there a utility to test the network port
    Thanks

    Please see my post here:
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=159490.0
I am experiencing the same problem.  You can also see the problem described in the newegg review for this board.  Note that the A75MA-P35 and the A55M-P35 are the same boards except for the chipset, and they even use the same BIOS.
For now, I suggest you use a PCI network card.
I don't think MSI can fix this with a BIOS, I think they're going to re-release it with a new hardware revision.

  • A75MA-p35 Raid 1 Install Win7 drivers not found

    Hi all,
Looking for a bit of help here, Problems installing Win7 Home Prem on a mirror raid. I followed the PDF manual uk.msi.com/product/mb/A75MA-P35.html#/?div=Manual  to the letter for how to create the raid, But the issue is cant seem to find any drivers to detect the HDDS, Or The DVD drive for that matter.
    I have:
Set BIOS SATA mode to : Raid
Used the BIOS CTRL+F Option, to create the raid. (  RAID Option ROM utility... )
Booting from Win7 CD, Its asking for drivers for the drives The PDF above says use the driver from >
    : \\ChpSet\AMD\Packages\Drvers\SBDrv\SB8xx\RAID\
(and then, please select a folder whch was classfied accordng to OS.) "
This I have tried, But Its not listed due to the "Incompatible driver" Checkbox.
I have tried forcing it to install this driver, and others from the CD/Net  But with no luck
    Anyone got any clues?
    Thanks

    Link worked.
Thanks for the help.  Much appreciated.
    Tis all installing now.
Confused to why the drivers from the motherboard CD didnt work tho?
    @Xmad.
The USB stick was showing up fine pal, Just the drivers I was throwing at it, Didnt want to work. I did try installing the other drivers to see if they worked anyway with no luck.
Sigh, whilst writing this. More errors on screen :(   Back shortly!

  • MSI A75MA-P35 Signal Lost, No DVI

Mainboard: MSI A75MA-P35 (unknown BIOS - due to no video).
    AMD A4-3300 Llano Dual-Core 2.5GHz
    WD Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB
    Corsair XMS3 8GB
    Windows 7 Pro x64
So I built this PC for my grandmother in 2012 and everything has worked flawlessly until this past week; she said the screen went black and a sound came on, so I logged into her PC through teamviewer and the screen would change resolutions every 3 seconds on my end, I was able to update everything (tedious I must say).
Still no video. So I brought her PC over here and tested it with my monitor; no joy on the DVI port, intermittent on the VGA so I did some cleanup in safe mode and then booted it up on VGA and it was working fine. Hooked it up for her; was working fine, then over night same problem appeared.
I do not have a second CPU to test with, but the CPU is actually working (because I can connect through TeamViewer). I'm honestly thinking the board has issues, it's still under warranty, but I wanted to come here and see if anyone else has had similar problems.
Though if I throw an FM2 board in there with a new FM2 APU, do I have to do a clean install on Windows (yes I know you should when you change hardware); I just want to make this as minimal hassle as possible.
    Further notes:
    No POST beeps
Everything seems to be working fine just no video.
DVI port is hard to connect (bent - though I don't know if it's a factory defect)

Since the screen is black when connected to DVI before Windows even starts booting, I would say what it isn't a Windows issue. I thus highly doupt what a re-install would fix it.
    Quote from: midnightwolf76
the screen would change resolutions every 3 seconds on my end
From the sound of it, it sounds like the motherboard (or APU) is unable to detect the Screen frequency & resolution, causing it to try different ones (thus the swapping).

Might be damaged, that could explain the issue. First see if you can find any visible signs of damage. Then check for broken pins being stuck or bent pins on the cable. Might need to get the board replaced or repaired, however check if any of the mods have anything to say about it first.

  • MSI A75MA-P35 DDR3-1866 support?

    Hi,
I'm interested in an A75MA-P35. Unfortunately, the website and manual say it only supports DDR3-1600 whereas the "little brother" (A55MA-P35) and basicly all other mainboards with FM1 support DDR3-1866.
Is this a mistake or does the A75MA-P35 really not support DDR3-1866?
    Thanks in advance!

Quote from: Mark on 01-October-11, 06:20:53
The memory controller is built into the CPU so that determines what speed RAM is supported.
Now that you mention it, it's pretty obvious. Guess I'm getting too old for this stuff.

    1. You have a pre-release Beta 1 version of what will become Firefox 4 in like 5 or 6 months. Unless you are intending to test it for flaws and report those flaws to help in the development process, don't use it.
    2. Did you create a new Profile for 4.0b1, and are you using that Profile with it? ''That isn't done automatically when you install 4.0b1, and those of us who have been doing the "testing" for many years consider a new Profile as the basis of doing out testing.''
IMO, Mozilla is making a huge mistake by directly offering these beta versions to the general public.
Also IMO. if you want to play with 4.0b1, use the Portable Firefox 4.0beta version to minimize any conflicts with a currently installed version of Firefox, and to eliminate the need for creating a new Profile for 4.0 Beta #:
Download Firefox Portable Test to your hard drive and double click the '''FirefoxPortableTest_4.0_Beta_#_English.paf.exe''' file. The entire installation (including a new Profile for "Portable") will be self-contained in the \Program Files\FirefoxPortableTest\ folder and won't interfere with an "official" version that you already have installed. Your Profile will be in the \Program Files\FirefoxPortableTest\Data\profile\ folder.
The "down side" is that Firefox Portable won't launch if any other version of Firefox is already running.

  • Reporting Services in both SharePoint 2013 connected and native mode?

Is it possible to configure Reporting Services (SQL Server 2014) to support both SharePoint 2013 connected mode and local Report Server in native mode on the same server using multiple instances of RS? The reason for this setup is to avoid having to purchase
SharePoint Enterprise CALs for other users than analysts and still be able to publish standard reports to all employees.
Management and analysts -> Custom reports published through SharePoint 2013 Enterprise (SP2013 ECALs and SQL Server 2014 core license). Data alerts and Power View enabled if possible.
All employees -> Standard reports published through Native Mode Report Server (SQL Server 2014 core license). Possible subscriptions.
I find the official documentation a bit lacking in this area but can't find anything stating against the above. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could confirm before planning the installs.
What I'm aiming for is somewhat similar to the "2 Tier Topology" described at: Example
License Topologies and Costs for SQL Server 2014 Self-Service Business Intelligence
With the difference that there is a separate SQL Server 2014 server used both by SharePoint and as a standalone BI-server.
SharePoint EE + SQL Server 2014 EE
    Excel Services
SSRS Add-in (Reporting Services, Power View)
SQL Server DB for SP Content, Configuration and Service Application DB:s
SQL Server 2014 EE - SharePoint + Standalone for BI
    SSRS SharePoint Mode
    SSRS Native Mode
SSAS (Not in SharePoint mode, skipping PowerPivot for now. Would Power View still work?)
SQL Server DB for Data Warehouse
= 1 x SharePoint EE Server Licence, 2 x SQL Server 2014 EE Server Licenses?
    Deployment
Topologies for SQL Server BI Features in SharePoint - Actually gives a good overview in the section "PowerPivot for SharePoint
2013 and Reporting Services Three Server Deployment". Just remove PowerPivot Service from Server 1 and change the Analysis Services in Server 2 to a regular native multidimensional mode. Server 2 would also be used for native Reporting Services.
Fallback or even beneficial option to install SSRS in SharePoint mode on the SQL Server instance used for content and configuration?

    Hi Daniel Wikar,
As per my understanding, you want to install two SQL Server instances on the same server, and configure one of the Reporting Services to SharePoint integrated mode, another to native mode.
According to my knowledge, multiple instances of Reporting Services on the same computer, where one instance runs in SharePoint integrated mode and the other instance runs in native mode is supported. But we must run all report server instances at the same
level. For example, if we are using SQL Server 2014, all report server instances must be SQL Server 2014.
Besides, Analysis Services and Reporting Services can be installed as standalone servers, in scale-out configurations, or as shared service applications in a SharePoint farm. Installing the services in a farm enables BI features that are only available in
SharePoint, including PowerPivot for SharePoint and Power View.

  • The difference between VTP server and transparent mode on Catalyst Switch.

    Hello
I have a question about the difference between VTP server mode and VTP transparent mode on general catalyst switch.
Basically VTP server mode can create and modify VLAN configuration but  actually there is not any VLAN configuration through running-config, is it true?  When I checked it on Cat3550, certainly there is not VLAN configuration on VTP server mode. But VTP transparent can create VLAN and configuration but does not synchronize with other switch VLAN status. I appreciate any related information and reason of the VTP server mode specification, thank you very much.

  • What is difference between TEXT mode and BINARY mode?

    Hi,
What is difference between TEXT mode and BINARY mode? In TEXT mode what is "ENCODING DEFAULT".
    OPEN DATASET wl_filename FOR INPUT
                              IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
      OPEN DATASET wl_filename FOR INPUT
                              IN BINARY MODE .

    Hi vishnu,
    1. files like .TXT files are considered to be text,
and other files like .EXE . DOC etc are binary files.
    2. In text files, after each line, there are two
       internal binary characters
one for line feed and another one for newline.
    3. But, we don't have any meaning for it,
when we view such files in notepad, for eg.
Hence, to only get the understandable content,
we should open such TXT files, in text mode.
(we can also open them in binary mode,
but we will get two extra characters after each line,
and such two extra characters are meaningless
      for interpreting the text)
    4. In binary mode, each byte by byte is considered,
       without any meaning.
    regards,
    amit m.

  • What is the diffrence between ASCII and BIN mode

    Hello All,
What is the diffrence between ASCII and BIN mode
    Regards,
    Lisa.

    'ASC' :
ASCII format. The table is transferred as text. The conversion exits are
carried out. The output format additionally depends on the parameters
    CODEPAGE, TRUNC_TRAILING_BLANKS, and TRUNC_TRAILING_BLANKS_EOL.
    'IBM' :
ASCII format with IBM codepage conversion (DOS). This format correspond
to the 'ASC' format when using target codepage 1103. This codepage is
often used for data exchange by disc.
    'DAT' :
Column-by-column transfer. With this format, the data is transferred as
with ASC text. However, no conversion exists are carried out and the
columns are separated by tab characters. This format creates files that
can be uploaded again with gui_upload or ws_upload.
    'DBF' :
The data is downloaded in dBase format. Because in this format the file
types of the individual columns are included, import problems, for
example, into Microsoft Excel can be avoided, especially when
    interpreting numeric values.
    'WK1' :
The data is downloaded in Lotus 1-2-3 format.
    'BIN' :
Binary format. The data is transferred in binary format. There is no
formatting and no codepage conversion. The data is interpreted row by
row and not formatted in columns. Specify the length of the data in
parameter BIN_FILESIZE. The table should consist of a column of type X,
because especially in Unicode systems the conversion of structured data
into binary data leads to errors.

  • Cisco Jabber for Windows in Extend and Connect mode and making outbound calls

    Hi guys,
I've set up Cisco Jabber for Windows to use Extend and Connect to control a remote PBX endpoint. I've configured the required CTI-RD device, remote destinations, associated the users to the line and added the devices to end-user controlled device. The extend and connect part is working flawlessly without any issues. I'm able to receive inbound calls on the remote PBX endpoint and control the call (hold, resume, transfer etc.) using the Jabber call window that pops up.
However, I'm unable to make any outbound calls via the Jabber client when in extend and Connect mode. Reading the Extend and Connect guide, I need to configure Dial Via Office (DVO) Reverse. So when the user initiates a Dial-Via-Office reverse call, CUCM calls and connect to the Extend and Connect device (CTI-RD). CUCM then calls and connects to the number the user dialled and finally connects the two call legs.
After attempting to configure DVO-R for Jabber for Windows in Extend and Connect mode following the CUCM feature services guide, i'm unable to get any outbound calls working. From RTMT, i am receiving the following Termination Cause Code: (27) Destination out of order. What i also notice is that there is no calling number for that trace either. I would've thought that the calling party would've been the Enterprise Feature Access (EFA) number.
Has anyone got this working or can provide some guidance?
    Thanks.

    Thanks.
