Will boot BIOS no problem. When you exit BIOS Windows starts to boot, then goes to a screen that reads. repair windows or boot normally. There is also a message at the top that says there could have been a change in software or hardware.

Judging from what I'm reading in your post you have installed a HDD from another PC with Windows already installed on it. It's not going to boot if that's true and you will need to do a fresh install of Windows on it or at the very least try a repair install.

You can tell what version of iOS you have via Settings > General > About > Version
If you are in Iraq then unfortunately you can't currently get any content, including apps, from Apple (and Apple is the only source for apps) as there isn't currently an iTunes store in your country. If/when that is likely to change I don't know.

Powermac(s) G5 will not install operating system(s).

I have read many posts, but no posts resolve this issue. With wiped or new hard drives, the operating system install dvd disk fails to install and hangs with a last line panic message repeatably mentioned by others and now me "We are hanging here..."
I have a quad core G5 with a wiped and new hard drive. When using a powermac G5 install of the manufactured time of the machine, the install hangs. The install is 10.4. What was on the hard drive before it was wiped was 10.5. I have tried several different disks all with same result. I have done all the obvious and previously failed thing: pulled the battery, reset PRAM, tried different hard drives, other dvd drives, etc. I read that Apple claims to many that the logic board or processors are bad and to throw out the units.
+*Here is the twist.*+ I have four of these units. Prior to wiping they hard drives, they all were in perfect working order. I have 16 more that have not had the hard drives wiped, and all behave exactly the same way when I try to install the operating system while booting off the DVD install disk. If I launch the install disk from the systems when the systems are happily running, they too fail with exactly the same message. I therefore doubt that hardware is at fault and that they all suddenly have bad logic boards, then good, then bad. Or that they are all breaking at the same time when every single one of them were working fine everyday.
I want to get the ones with the wiped drives up and running again. I don't want to put the systems from the unwiped ones on the wiped ones.
Interesting isn't it? Very I think. How much good hardware has been wasted by this issue?
Any ideas? Please, put on your thinking caps.

Canon Pixma iP4950 works great with my PPC G5 iMac on Leopard. Maybe other of their models do as well.

T8000 not booting: Insert system disk in drive

I hope anybody can help me with the following problem on my T8000 (W2K)
From one day to another I was not able to start/boot the system. Immediately it comes with the message:
Insert system disk in drive
Press any key when ready
I replaced twice the HD but it did not help.
Could anybody assist me with this issue?

Its not easy to say why you unit cant boot. It will be interesting to know some more details. Did you try to make some changes in BIOS Boot Priority? Did you set right the settings (jumper) on HDD to master or slave?
Did you try to reinstall your OS with recovery CD/DVD?

IE display data, but not FF/Opera

I've never quite dealt with anything like this before...I'll
do my best to explain it.
My Flash file takes info from a DB through PHP and displays
them into several different radio buttons. IE displays the
information correctly, but FF/Opera do not. I tried using static
data, which displays fine in all browsers. But for some reason this
dynamic data I'm trying to put into the radiobuttons does not want
to display in FF/Opera.
I was told by one individual it could be a font issue. I
didn't preload any fonts. Regardless, I kept the radio buttons but
used dynamic text fields to display the data. Again, the same exact
thing occured. I have the same version of Flash Player installed in
all browsers (according to this site).
Can anyone possibly explain to me why this is happening?
Again, it's not a question of the data not getting to Flash because
it shows up fine in IE. Even if I make changes to the text I want
displayed, it shows up correctly for IE, not FF/Opera.
Really hoping someone can put an end to my misery.

If you use a dynamic text font AND your system has that font
AND you don't do any kind of tweening or effects on it, it should
display ok. If you have the dynamic text moving around or
effects on it you need to embed it's font outlines to keep it from
disappearing. To embed font outlines, open up the properties
window for the text and click on the 'character' button. Embed font
outline.

[solved]mbr not recognized by bios - stuck on Loading Operating System

Hi guys,
I got a shiny new SSD and moved my / and /boot partitions over to it with a fresh install. I created both as gpt, etx4. /boot is sda1 / is sda2. Going through the install steps for syslinux, i did these:

and finished the rest of the install. i didn't get any errors or anything that looked wrong. But when i reboot, my computer just hangs on Loading Operating System, like it can't find the mbr on /boot. I still have hdd as the primary boot option in the bios. Do i need to do something different to get it to recognize ssd as boot? did i just miss something small?

@shelbydz: there is no "MBR on /boot" -- GPT disks have a "stub" MBR used to prevent non-GPT aware programs from deleting the partitions.
Why are you using syslinux in EFI?
It all looks rather complicated in the wiki. I would recommend trying gummiboot, I find it the easiest of all the boot loaders/managers to use.

Netbook can not find operating system

I have a netbook that no does not see the operating system at startup ( thinkpad i think) it just boots to a black screen after the Lenovos screen load in, Pressing f12 brings you to the boot menu and if you click on the drive it shows the hdd and lan drives loading up from there it just boots with a message " no operating system found" . If i go to the quick start menu and look in the Photos section the files folders are still there under my computer including the disk drives ( labeled as disk 1 and not c: ) and all the program files including the windows folder. I can not boot into safe mode or system recovery not sure what the system recovery steps are on the netbook but tried loading /pressing all the f buttons on the loading screen only things work is F12 for boot menu f2 for setup screen and esc shows bios i think. since it is a net book there are no recovery disk or disk drive. This seems to have happened after possably malware got on the computer. The person using it at the time said a seemly fake antivirus popup came on screen and said system was not protected and contiuned to load when they tried to restart thats when the problem happened.

BlackBerry Z10 -- note re operating system and hint for an improvement perhaps

I am not sure this is me or the Z10 operating system [latest update]. I really like the device, by the way, and recommend it highly. I am a new user, and a bit of a klutz, and I have noticed when I log on to our household wireless with the BlackBerry Z10 I have to give the Cisco Router a password which we have for a guest on our household wireless network. I do that, and then I press "log in"....
Somewhere in this sequence I get the message on the BlackBerry Z10 "Do you want to log in to the hotspot?" or some such thing and I affirm I do, then the Cisco message comes up from our system... I think that's the sequence, and I fill in the password and press log in. Then if I am watching it properly, it takes a little moment or two, I get briefly the message "you are logged into the internet" or something like that, I forget the exact words. I got confused for the longest while whether I was logged in or not, because the BlackBerry browser indicates the Cisco page to log in with the password when I am already logged in, and the annoying thing is that I am not sure I really am in or not and I forget to go to the browser and fill in the web URL I want, like yahoo.ca... I wish the programmers at BlackBerry would put a line on there like "you are logged in, enter your website name on the browser search line" or something -- the trouble stems from the fact I have removed my browsing history and the only site up is the Cisco log-in page when I am already logged in -- could this be fixed with a style reno on the browser, to indicate I am logged in, and that I should enter the website I want to see... other uses may do this differently, I don't know, it's probably just me... I don't have time to fiddle with the device a lot, I mainly use it for a cellphone, so am not "at it" all the time.
PS: the use of the term "hotspot" is confusing too, because somewhere I read that if you don't want to connect to one of those little wireless radiating gadgets called a "hotspot" you set that setting to No, and then connect to the wireless network in your area you wish to connect to... but that's called by you a "hotspot" too, and I find that confusing... maybe hotspot should be as a term confined to the other gadget, and "wireless network" used for wireless network... or am I wrong...

After dropping this table from APPS schema 'Re-create grants and synonyms for APPS schema' went thru fine.Its correct
This table does not exist in INV schema in 11.5.10.2.
Could be possible that the consultant could have created this table in INV and APPS schema by mistake or whatever.Yes, with the same name, there might be table in APPS SCHEMA. When you run recreate grants and synonyms, adadmin tries to create synonym for that table in APPS schema. since there is object available with the same name in apps chema, you got that error.

Progress Bar display problem on Win_XP Win2000 operating systems

Dear All,
I have some month-end, year-end and other processes. I have facilitated the user by putting 'Progress Bar' to show the progress status at every transaction. I have used simple logic by increasing the width of a colored item gradually. Anyway it is working perfectly fine. But now I came to know that all the computers having other than Windows98 operating system are unable to show the progress if they move mouse a little of press any key from the keyboard.
On the other hand on Win98 PCs, users are touching the mouse sometime using other application and still able to see the progress of the running process.
I could not figure out the problem can anyone help me in this regard. Thanks

G5 will not boot from system disk or from Tech Tool Pro 5

Hi everyone - Having a bit of trouble and hoped I might find some answers here.
I suspect my system drive was having some issues as it sounded like it was being taxed and strained as I would open up applications from it. Upon verifying the disk using Disk Utilities, the test would stop short with the following message:
First Aid Failed
Disk Utility stopped verifying "Macintosh HD" because the following error was encountered
Filesystem verify or repair failed
In addition, an error message came up (in red) on the disk utility screen as well saying:
Volume header needs minor repair
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired
Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed
Normally from here, I'd start up the computer from the Tech Tool Pro 5 disk (holding down C key upon restart). But when I did this, the computer never responded. Instead, the power was on but the screens went black and the computer went into a very quiet "idle" mode.
After about a minute, the fans began ramping up pretty high (and loud). This went on until I finally had to manually shut down the computer by holding the power switch down for a few seconds. I didn't know what else to do. Those fans were not coming down (not even after 10 minutes).
Anyway, I pushed the power button again and held the C key down. Still, nothing.... The fans stayed idle, for a little while and then ramped up again just like last time. I hit that same dead end and powered down the computer via the power button.
Is there an alternate way to boot the computer from Tech Tool Pro or the original start up disks? I'm having no luck, here.
I'm on my way into town to purchase a new internal drive (something with about 1TB of space) so that my pro apps can swim a little instead of being being bogged down on a 250G drive.

The Install disk has version 10.4 on it. I have also tried booting from my OS 10.5 disk but with no avail.
However, here is an update on my plight.
Apple tech says that after hearing the symptoms, he thinks that one of the processors is shot. Being that my particular model of G5 (dual 2.7 processors) is a liquid cooled machine, it's possible that some sort of leak has formed and has either taken out a processor or has caused a processor to overheat. He says that this model of G5 has been known to do that. In this case, nothing will boot which makes me think that my original system drive may actually be okay. I'm taking it in for the tech to look at it and just be sure that's the problem. However, if it is a dead processor, the part alone would run $799 plus labor to install it. Frankly, that's just too much for me to pay to keep this old G5. I'd rather put that money towards a new or reconditioned Mac Pro 8 core or quad core machine.
I've owned several Mac computers in the past and perhaps this is the frustration talking but it seems that no matter how diligent you are in maintaining your Macintosh, these machines only seem to last about 5 years before something majorly wrong happens (mother board, processor, etc). Can I expect this same, limited time frame from a new Mac Pro? I mean, am I just being paranoid?
