A910 wont print from pc

I have had my 8500 A910 for a little over year and until today, it has worked almost flawlessly. Now for some reason, it will not print nor scan from my PC (XP Home). Scan software doesn't see it...I get no error messages when trying to print from Notepad or Acrobat...just never prints. When I try to go into priperties for the printer, it just times out.
I reset the print cartridges (as one forum poster said solved his issue), the router sees it and vice versa, I unplugged it, rebooted PC, turned off firewall, etc...
The odd thing is that I can print wirelessly from my ipad...with dissapointingly minimal control.
In my troubleshooting, I uninstalled the software and downloaded it from HP and when I click to install, it opens up as HP 8500 software but then says it is installing Samsung mobile phone drivers and SW and craps out.
Again, worked fine for a long while...nothing changed on my end (that I know).

My answer in regards to the mobile phone driver is no, it should not say that at all. I also have that same driver in what is equivalent to "My Computer" on XP when my Android phone is plugged in USB to charge on my Windows 7 PC. If the installation software is showing that instead, I would say it is possibly a driver conflict while trying to install the printer and is a result of having the phone connected at the same time. I want to start from the very beginning with you just to verify the correct steps were followed. This will help me to determine that the installation is truly conflicting with other drivers on your computer.
First, remove/unplug any external devices connected to the XP (that does not mean uninstall, just make sure they are not connected or turn them off). This includes all phones, hard-drives, etc. Next, make sure the printer has been removed from the computer by going to the control panel and then Programs>>Add/Remove Programs and uninstall anything related to HP. You may see your Officejet in here as well as Printer Assistant, Product Participation, etc. You may even want to restart your PC after this. **If you do not own a smartphone, remove any traces of Samsung from here as well.
Next, go to www.hp.com/support and type in 8500 A910A if out of the US or just click this link to go to the Officejet 8500 Full Feature Software and Drivers for XP. Download and follow the instructions on a wireless installation. You may have to search your printer by IP address to help it find the printer during the installation. Ensure the printer and the computer are on the same network and this is where I expect the installation stops. If it does, record any error messages. If a fatal error log shows up, click on more info and have a pen ready to write down any four-digit error codes.
I really hope this is all the guidance you need but I assume you have done this already. It will help me tremendously to know at what point in the installation it fails (near the beginning, the end, at the congratulations window, etc). Try those steps to install the printer from the download and let me know how it goes. Some error messages blink quickly so be prepared as those indicate deep registry issues within the software on your PC. If you get another Samsung driver to pop up, it is okay to remove it from the Uninstall Program in the Control Panel as well since that is a plug-and-play driver and should re-install the moment you plug your phone back in.

Im running on a Windows Visa Home Premium OS, looks like Service Pack 2, and have not made any system changes to my laptop or upgraded anything recently.
Was able to print fine from my laptop on Monday, but 3 days later Im getting this error message: ""the job failed to print due to an error in the printing system" when trying to print a standard MS Word doc.
I can still get the printer to print fine by using the control panel on the unit itself and requesting to "Run a Wireless Network Test" and also when I've requested a "Print Status Report", "Print Quality Report", etc. But when sending files from the laptop it refuses to work.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know - desperate to get this thing back up online but unfortunately Im a tech idiot and havent been able to solve it yet, though Ive searched for hours now it seems.

HP 1300 wont print from Remote Desktop applications

I have an HP 1300n attached via USB to a windows 7 computer. I log onto a clien'ts windows 2003 server using remote desktop application. I have installed the driver to HP 1300 PCL 5 on the remote server and of course it's installed on the windows 7 machine. I can see the HP via port TSXxx on the remote server but when printing, nothing happens. The document is sent to the "printer" but doesnt print in my office. I've tried many solutions and nothing so far works. I have 3 other windows 7 computers and 3 others HP 1300 and all are experiencing the same thing.

Dymo label manager 450 wont print from labview

Hello all ...I have a weird problem.....I can print a .txt file fine from windows out to my new Dymo label manager 450 printer on a usb port . When I try to let my labview application print out to the same exact printer-usb port it sounds like its immediately printing out the label yet it just spits out a totally blank label ? If I take the same EXACT labview program on the same machine and simply redirect it out to a network printer it prints out the file fine ? What am I doing wrong ? Thanks J.

Nadim...thanks for jumping in...it looks like to me the labview application cannot handle printing to a 1/4 " label.....the margins default to 1 inch by 1inch by 1 inch by 1 inch for top bottom left right margins on the labview REPORT icon . Whenever I change the margins in the labview icon by doing a create -control ---it wont even try to print a lblank label out anymore when I change them to something less than 1 inch default....after running it just says -denoted with a red x ~margins invalid in the labview margin control window ....so it looks like I break it when going to something smaller than an inch to a 1/4 inch label.......strangely if I print out a .txt file to the dymo printer from "windows" it prints fine and also when I take the same exact LABVIEW program and run it out to a network printer- using full sheets of paper -it prints fine and the margins there are LRTB 1 inch ...... .help ......jfk .

Officejet Pro 8600 Plus wont print from Mac 10.5.8

I just purchased the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus and I'm running it wired through my router. I'm able to print with my PC, my IPad and my phone but I cant print with my mac running OS 10.5.8.
When I try to print it puts the document in the print que and says "printing" but nothing happens at the printer. I can scan to my mac from the printer and everything seems to indicate that the printer is connected.
I have downloaded the latest HP driver for Mac 10.5. Also i have reset the printer (holding down the option key while deleting the printer from the system preferences) several times and re-added the printer. Still nothing.
Any ideas?

Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Option click the '+' sign and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and then next to the "Use" pulldown, select the printer model (not AirPrint). Wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Printer wont print from pc but will do from phone

I have gone through the set up process and the printer prints from my phone but not the pc. I have an icon for the printer and it is set as the default printer. ( it will print a test page from the pc but not a document.)
When I go through the trouble shooting it says that all the software isnt installed and goes on the web to download it. Then it installs but no joy.
each time I go to trouble shoot it shows the same message and downloads again but I am left with the same problem.
help please.....

3051A wont print from internet

Hi,My HP 3051A recently stopped being able to print from the internet. It is able to print items from the PC ok. I have run the HP Scan and Print check and all ok. Printer has IP address ok. This occurs with both Chrome and IE so I am guessing that the problem lies with Windows or maybe Anti Virus maybe? I have Avast installed and in use? Any ideas please? Thanks

If you are able to print other items, other than IE and Chrome, then the issue could be a driver conflict, or an issue with those particular programs. I would recommend the following steps: Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.Disable any Antivirus programs. Disable Antivirus software.Disable any firewall programs. Turn Windows Firewall on or off.Create a new user account. Managing User Accounts and Logins (Windows 7).Reinstall using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows. Afterwards, run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, to verify that everything is working properly. In the mean time, try another web browser to see if you have the same results.
What web browser are you using?
What is the full name and product number of your printer? There are several Laserjet 200 series. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
What operating system are you using?
How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

I am having trouble getting my printer to print with my MAC. It recognizes jobs in the queue, but keeps telling me the printer isn't connected? I have uninstalled and re installed it, updated the drivers. Grrrrr

Officejet Pro 8500 A910 - Cannot print from WIndows 7 Laptop

Got the printer yesteray and set it up on my wireless linksys network. Attempted to load software onto 1 month old HP Windows 7 laptop. COuld not find the printer on the network, even though I was supplying the IP. After much gnashing of teeth, playng with McAffee firewall, downloading most recent printer software, removing and reinstalling software. I reset the printer on my network and lo and behold I had a different IP. Laptop could then find the printer.
I can print a test page off of the printers webpage, but receive an error(can be seen in the printer properties page)when attempting to send ANY document to the printer from said laptop.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I do this stuff everyday, and was not expecting problems in setting this up,,,

Photosmart premium all in one wont print from SD card

Photosmart premium reads my SD card, and says 398 photos found, then it displays photos for a second or two and then display reverts back to View and Print without giving me tha opportunity to select and print pictures. I performed a power reset and that did not help.

To make sure the printer is reset properly, do these steps:
1. Unplug the power from the back of the printer.
2. Press and hold '3' and '#' buttons.
3. Plug power back in while holding those buttons.
4. Release buttons after about 10 seconds.
Try reading the card again. If it does not read, then try reading a different card. It may have something to do with the individual card if another card reads correctly.

Jetdirect 300x print server wont print from my imac

I have an iMac running 10.6.8 and I would like to print over my newtwork using a hp jetdirect 300x which is attached to a hp 5p lazerjet printer. The windows xp notebook i have works fine through it. I can see a jetdirect socket on the list on my Mac when i am trying to connect to it using the add a printer function and i printed out the pcl config page using my windows notebook. I used the ip address from there but nothing i do gets a print order through. either it unendingly tries to connect and doesn't or it shows a printer in the selection window but registers a busy will try in 5 seconds or does not connect. I understand apple discontinued appletalk with this operating system and I could find no drivers or printserver software on hp's website for apple to download to make this work. can anyone suggest something to do to make my iMac and printserver work together. I have another hp color lazerjet 2600n that works with the iMac just by plugging it in and loading the cd that came with it. I don't have a cd for the Jetdirect 300x. Could i get one somewhere and would it have the apple drivers to make this work if I could?

HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless wont print from Hotmail with HP e print app

I am able to add gmail as an email to print wirelessly but when I try to add my hotmail accountI get a verification errorHostname is filled out as pop3.live.com and port is 995 it refuses withssl checked. and without it checked it just loops and loops on and on verifying account. Why wont hotmail work?

Thank you for clarifying, I appreciate it. I'm also sorry for misunderstanding what you had said.
You shouldn't have to change any settings on your iPhone for the HP ePrint app to accept your hotmail account. Let's try adding your Hotmail account using the 'Other' option and enter the IMAP settings for Hotmail. I've included screen shots for where to add the Hotmail account.

PHOTOSMART 370 WONT PRINT FROM MY LAPTOP

I can use my printer as a scanner and print documents,
however it doesnt print anything from my computer system

There are many possible reasons. Please read this post then provide some details. What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth? Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?
