AA on import (how to switch it off!)

I'm trying to import pixel-art footage into Premiere. Whatever I try the package will represent the art blurred.
Is there a way (should be) to switch off the automatic anti-aliasing of the artwork while importing?

I don't know what "pixel-art" is or what you mean exactly by "package", but I'm going to assume you're importing an image into Premiere which shows up with jaggies.
If so, check the Playback and Paused resolution of the Source & Program Monitors (right-click on them for the resolution options) . If they're set to anything less than "Full", the content might show up blurry.

There is no way to simpy switch data off and on with the Vivaz handset I'm afraid. However my best suggestion would be to create a dummy data account on the handset. If you set this as the account you wish to use when browsing the Internet through your network operator, it will be unable to connect. If you are using Wi-Fi, this will mean that if you go out of range, the handset will not be able to switch to your mobile network data.
This can be done by following these steps:
Settings > Connectivity > Destinations > Access Point > Add New > Packet Data > Name the account (for example, Dummy account) > Select Internet.
Once set up, go into Internet within Destinations and set the dummy account as priority 2 for Internet behind your Wi-Fi connection.
I'd also recommend tapping your Data Internet connection, selecting Edit and ensuring 'Use Access Point' has 'After Confirmation' written under it. This will ensure you are asked if you wish to use that connection before it automatically connects.

Technically the MBA's camera is called its "FaceTime" camera. The "iSight" name was dropped some years ago and now refers only to the iPhone's rear camera, and I'm assuming you are not referring to the external, FireWire iSight camera or its LED.
For privacy concerns Apple decided to make software control of the FaceTime camera's LED impossible. If the LED is off, so is the camera.
Stick tape over the LED as Klaus1 wrote. There is no other way to disable it, without physically disassembling the camera, potentially destroying it in the process.

There is no option for turning off the start-up sound (which is actually meant to signal the end of a successful hardware check). I believe there are (or used to be) third party gadgets which might turn it off, but I always shy away from such things.
The simplest solution is to mute your sound before you shutdown/restart.

The AirPorts do not have a feature to control power-on/power-off the base station itself, although, you can control access to it based on time. For what you are looking for, you may want to consider using a timer which you can plug the AirPort into.

"Local snapshots" takes up all resources - how to switch it off?

I have a MBP 2,4 GHz Intel Corde Duo 2, 4 GB Ram, 500 GB HD, Time Macine and on Lion. I want to switch off Local Snapshots as it takes all my CPU an Mem however the Terminal command sudo tmutil disablelocal only holds until the next reboot. Rebootking takes forever and indexing should be far behind me as well. I would be grateful for any hints on how to swith Local Snapshots off permanently and how to get back to the performance I was used to under SL.

Since I usually only login after a reboot, it helped to define the following apple script and to add it to the start up items:
tell application "Terminal"
activate
do script "sudo tmutil disablelocal" in 0
end tell
open Utilities -> Apple Script Editor
Type in the script above
save it as an application
Open System Preferences -> Users and Groups -> Login Items
Select the current User and - in the left column- click "+"
Then select your new script.
The draw back will be that each time you log in you will be prompted for your super user password. So it will be annoying if you log in frequently. But at least you will not forget to turn off snapshots after a reboot.

We have a GL Account Hierarchy based on an FSV that we use in BW reports.
All our reports are web reports accessible via BW Portal.
This hierarchy has an Unassigned Node also that we have suppressed (switched off) for display via Hierarchy Attributes Settings.
When you check the Suppress Unassigned Node box the unassigned nodes do not show on the report.
This has been working fine so far until we have this one requirement where user would like to see unassigned GL Accounts also.
We would like to check/uncheck this flag (Supress Unassigned Node) during the query run time.
Is there a way to control showing/hiding of unassigned node of a hierarchy during query runtime?

Hi Ram,
If you have set hierarchy attribute as display unassigned node, then you can simply select the root as filter in order not to display the unassignd node.
However if you have set hierarchy attribute as suppress unassigned node, then you can't choose the unassigned node by the filter.
So if users want both, you need to set hierarchy attribute as display unassigned node. You cannot really change this setting at runtime by user.

Your phone is not overloaded by open apps. Very few, if any, of the recent apps list you are thinking of are open.

We are also struggling with the same problem.
did you find any correct solution to the problem by now.
However one setting in backend r/3 is that of controlling scenario-- just check whether the controlilng scenario is set with the level 'transaction'
i guess if you set it to transcation and at the next level you create for a particular transaction type you need to create a controlling scenario then i guess the problem will be solved.. we tried tthe same settings however we are unable to find the result to the problem.

In java i m set this property using connection.setAutoCommit(false);
How to do this using this System.Data.Oracleclient.dll.
I had tried with savepoint and rollback also but no luck.
I want to rollback the last update operation.

Hi,
There's no equivalint of SetAutoCommit(false) in .NET that I know of. You'll simply need to wrap the operation in a transaction and then commit/rollback explicitely.

Update of FF beta to 8 made it a lot slower. Music on Windows mediaplayer now gets interrupted when I use FF. FF beta (8) asked for auto feedback - opted yes. Wonder if that function slows FF, but how to switch it off? FF 7.0.1 (non beta) is just as slow.

Automatic conversions...A Bug? or just a feature(How to turn it off?)

I Using TS 3.0(.0.12373) I seem to have stubbled over a annoying 'feature' which I can't turn off...Any one got ant ideas.......
Every sequence file I load(eg from the \examples\) when When loaded the '*' appears next to the file name indicating a change has happend. When closing the file TS asked "......file modified due to automatic conversions TestStand performed when loading file".
The only change that happened to the .seq file is a change to the Path, timestamps, and Version(From 3.0.0.12373 in the original to 3.0.0.12374 in the Updated one) at certain points in the file (found using a examine differences program ExamDiff.exe) examples below.
Any ideas how this feature is switched on,
and more importantly how to switch it off?

It appears that somehow you have edited an NI type and incremented the version number. Your debug work was correct, so looking at the sequence file you will notice that the following sections have a changed version number:

%VERSION = "3.0.0.12374"
Basically TestStand assumes that the newly edited NI type superceeds the one the TestStand finds in the sequence file. For most NI types, the default copy is stored in the type palette files and these probably have the 3.0.0.12374 version. Depending on which NI type was edited, a copy of the newly edited type might also be in the INI files that TestStand uses in the Cfg directory.
In TestStand 2.x if a user attempted to
edit an NI type instead of creating your own copy of the type, the sequence editor would warn them and suggest not editing the NI type. In TestStand 3.0, we wanted to be more strict and not allow editing of NI types at all, but the code did not work properly when released and instead it allows anyone to edit NI types without a warning. TestStand 3.1 now propertly prevents the editing of NI types.
What I recommend is to search all INI files under TestStand and all your sequence files for the '%VERSION = "3.0.0.12374"' text and hand edit them to replace this text with '%VERSION = "3.0.0.12373"'. This should address the issue for you.
If you have sent sequence files to others, and you do not want them to see the automatic conversion issue, their files should also be hand edited. Sorry for the inconvenience.
