AAD Sync can't connect to forest
Hi, I'm installing a new AADsync for a customer, but when I try to connect to the customer's forest (third step of the install/config of AADSync) I got this error : "the
specified forest does not exist or cannot be contacted".
Pretty sure that the forest is correct, I'm pretty sure that I'm able to connect to it. I tryed to install AD users and computers on the same server where I'm running AADSync
, and I'm able to connect to the forest with the same account without any problem. I tryed to force to use a different domain controller. I tryed to install on a different server/different OS. Nothing, I changed the user to connect to the forest too. Nothing,
It's not connecting.
Any idea please? We are really worried since we cannot understand why we are having this situation.
Hi, sorry for the long delay in replying. We took our time to check everything.
We opened an SR to MS, asking if its possible, using cmd commands or powershell, to put a filter during the installation. We based our question to MS on the fact that to install AADSync with full SQL you have to do it usign command line.
MS replied that its something by design and cannot be changed in any way.
The customer had some reason to open another SR with Premier Support and opened it. We are waiting for a reply (that I think, will be not different for the first one).
I think that the only way to do it is to use FIM and not AADSync, but off course you have to do create all the rules and all connectors from scratch.
Or, convince the customer to open all firewall ports for each child domain, off course.

Firefox Sync can't connect behind Zscaler proxy
Last week the enterprise I work in changed their proxy to a Zscaler one. With the previous proxy I could use Firefox Sync without any trouble but since that it seems I can't use Sync anymore.
The error that shows says "Sync encountered an error while syncing: Incorrect account name or password. Sync will automatically retry this action" but I'm 100% sure that both account name and password are right because I haven't changed them and they work in my computer at home.
In my Firefox Preferences > Advanced > Network > Connection > Settings I'm using "Use system proxy settings" as I always did (tried with our PAC file in "Automatic proxy configuration URL" but haven't had any luck too), have all the Zscaler certificates installed and can browser to any allowed site.

Anyone can help me?The logs provided might not be enough to determine what is happening on the proxy side. It was mentioned that the proxy might be refusing to send an auth header or something, but that's largely invisible to Firefox sync servers. It seems you already got the message to cordinate with rfkelly to find the request in logs to make sure.
Comparing this to your timestamp in the proxy on your network may reveal. Go to the #sync channel or we can file a bug at bugzilla.mozilla.org and needsinfo rfkelly with this troubleshooting information for more details. Please respond with any questions about this, we are happy to assist. -
N70 should sync - "can't connect" HELP
I have the latest Mac OS X and the latest iSync 2.3. It should be able to sync with Nokia N70, Apple's website confirms this. However, after I've paired the phone with my iMac, and try to add device to iSync, it finds it but says: "iSync cannot connect to this device".
Why?! Help please, I bought this phone because of its supposed sync ability!

You must first pair it with your computer, in iSync's "Add Device".
Then you must configure it with iSync, see the manual if you have not done that before. But it's easy!
After doing that and restarting both the phone and iMac, I've had no problems, contacts and calendar sync perfectly.
And you must have OS 10.4.7 and iSync 2.3 -
OK, my original iphone has just completed a factory restore. It's connected to my laptop, and ITunes restored it to firmware 3.1.3. Now, I can't connect to the ITunes store. I get an error message every time stating connection timed out, or something to that effect. Well, both my IPod Touch 2nd gen and 3rd gen connect perfectly to ITunes, so I doubt it's related to proxy settings, firewalls, or anything of the sort (believe me, I've spend 15 hours researching this without an answer). So, is there a problem with the original iphone with version 3.1.3 syncing with ITunes version 10.5.1 (the most recent one)?
I would LOVE an answer as this is driving me crazy.
Thanks.Mine had a SIM in it. Originally, when I took out the SIM and tried to restore it with nothing in it, it wouldn't work without a SIM card. So ... I took the SIM that was in that phone previously, put it back in and completed the system restore. I then proceeded to go through the process with AT&T of adding a data plan, which I did, and then it successfully completed the system restore. However, now if I run diagnostics on it, it will not verify ITunes Store. If I try to connect to ITunes store, I'll get the network connection timed out error I referenced earlier in this thread. I'm considering jailbreaking it and putting on an earlier software version. Your thoughts?

But it can auto sync when i connect it to my old laptop. what's the problem that it can't auto sync and when i did a backup in my new laptop, it was corrupted the next day and i was forced to use back a backup which i did in my old laptop 4 months ago. do i have to reinstall the itunes? will my backups be corrupted after i sync again? pls guide.
P.S/ its the latest version of the itunes whenever i did the backups.iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

I used to sync my iphone to a laptop which is no longer in my posession. I am now looking to start over and have a new itunes on my pc with no music on it. When i connect my iphone up to the new itunes it doesn't recognise it or sync - can anyone help me?
The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

FYI: Damage like that is not covered by warranty, & all Apple will offer you is an out of warranty replacement...cost, in the US, for an iPhone 4, is US $149. -
Sync Zone can't connect to Gmail

Ju!This could be caused by a firewall blocking PC Companion from connecting to the internet. If you have a firewall installed, make sure it's set to allow PC Companion.
If your internet connection goes through a proxy you may also have to enter your proxy in PC Companion. Click PC Companion settings at the top right and then go to proxy settings.
If you use MS Outlook with MS Exchange you could also synchronize directly with MS Exchange from the phone. Go to Settings -> Accounts and sync in the phone and add a new account with your settings (you get these from your IT-department).
You could also try the 3:rd party application MyPhoneExplorer from www.fjsoft.at.

Iv been trying to sync new apps I downloaded on my ipad2 and it isnt syncing. when I connect my ipad to itunes on my PC and click on the APPS tab I can see the apps on the PC but they are greyed out
Do you have restrictions enabled on your iPad? Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and see if you have it turned on. If so - see if you have installing apps turned off. If you do, turn restrictions off on your iPad and that may do it for you.
