AAM Does Not Recognize Installed CC Apps

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned a problem where the AAM did not recognise some apps as being installed when they were. I was concerned that I would miss out on updates because of this, so I removed the AAM and installed it again, at which point it did not recoginse _any_ of the installed apps, so I went ahead and installed them again. At this point all was well, and the AAM seemed to be in sync with what was and what wasn't installed.
Then yesterday there was an update for the AAM, which I dutifully installed, and I am right back where I was before!
InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat CC, and Lightroom 5 all show as uninstalled, whereas they are working perfectly. Is there some way I can get the AAM in sync without reinstalling everything again?

Hi Trevor.Dennis,
Please launch CC desktop/Select preferences/Apps and check the language selected for installed Apps. If your CC apps are installed in English and in CC desktop preferences there is some other language selected apart from English then go ahead and change the language as per the language of installed apps and see whether you find the apps showing as installed again.

AAM (7.0.0.324) does not show latest CC Apps. Trying to download directly from the CC Site fails because, it opens AAM an nothing happens. Deleting OPM.db doesn't have no effect at all. So, how can I get the newest versions?

I'm curious too. I just spent some time chatting with an Adobe agent and was told to deactivate my software and then re-download etc but if I was always under the impression that, through the creative cloud, upgrades would be automatic and painless using the application manager (one of the big advantages of the cloud in the first place) - but the cloud application page has info links to new cc products and download links to CS6 apps - weird.

I would like to download Photoshop CC (first the trial version) but after downloading Creatice Cloud Desktop, the Apps panel does not appear at all. If I click on the "install adobe apps" tab nothing happens. I have tried everything that was written on the forum but nothing seems to work . I have also re-installed the programs several times.@

Ciao guys, in the end I tried everything in this post but nothing worked.
I managed to solve the problem through this: creative cloud is blank window why? renaming that opm.db file but in the "Program Files (x86)" folder (I prevously used the "program files" one.

Trying to install Win 7 on MacBook Pro with OSx 10.9.3 and computer does not recognize install dvd

I'm using a 2009 MacBook Pro running Mavericks 10.9.3 and I am trying to install Win 7 using BootCamp 5. I've been able to install BootCamp before using the original Win7 install dvd on this computer but ever since I updated it (not sure how many time, its been a year or so since I last used BootCamp) and started using BootCamp 5 its been giving me problems reading the DvD. I know my internal DvD reader works because I've imported music recently but whenever I get into the very first step of BootCamp 5 (Download Support and Install Windows option screen) I click next with only install windows option checked and it tells me to wait for the DvD to be recognized when its already in. However it does come up with the option later to open with/eject the "blank DvD" which is the Win install DvD. Any ideas on how to get around this issue?

My suggestion would be to reinstall Lion from zero. No update.
I did that, and now I can install / uninstall Air without problems.
The installation takes about 20 minutes...

Creative Cloud Menu does not show installed Lightroom App

I'm wondering if there is something I can do to fix the problem. Lightroom does work as long as I dig through menus to find it.

Did you have a stand alone light room ?
You need to uninstall the stand alone Light room from the Computer. Then you can follow these links:

Extension Manager does not allow install of app.

EX Mgr. will not install application of zxp file. Says I do not have appropriate permissions to do so. Says to contact Admin. I am sole user.
I wanted to change the file extension from zxp to zip to manually install in CS5, but I don't know where to begin. File downloaded from net with EX Mgr. icon already set up and goes directly there when I click on it.

CS3 is version 9 of Dreamweaver, and CS4 is version 10. If you are trying to install an extension and Extension Manager says that you need at least version 10, then that could be the reason (although I thought the messages were tied to CS4 rather than 10, but I may be mistaken).
If that isn't the case, and you please describe the exact steps you're taking and the exact error message you're getting at what point in the interaction with Extension manager.

Adobe Reader XI, does not recognize installed printer

After I installed Adobe XI 11.0 on my PC I can no longer print pdf files, I get the error "Before you can perform print-related tasks such as page setup or printing a document, you need to install a printer." I can print on the installed printer using any other software (i.e. Word, internet explore, etc.).I have a second computer with the same Adobe reader XI and it prints pdf files to printer with no problem. I have disabled Preference "Enable Enhanced Security. I have uninstalled and re-installed both Adobe and the printer.

What is the make of the printer and is it using PCL or PS driver.?
Do you have Acrobat installed on this machine as well?
Please check if 'Print Spooler' service is running on the machine.

BIOS will not recognize installed CD/DVDs

System set up auto search does not recognize installed CD players or DVD RW on IDE 2 as being present. I have installed several different units that I know are working and set up passes by them like they are not present. I have checked and replaced all cables. CD unit are getting power and will light up, open and close but they do not show up during set up nor on Windows hardware listing. I have reset CMOS with no success.
I have the most current version of BIOS for this M/B. This problem started recently when I tried to change my CD player.

I connected a second hard drive on IDE 2 and the BIOS failed to recognize it. I also connectted a CD to IDE 1 along with my primary hard drive and the BIOS DID recognize both my hard drive and the CD but the system would not boot up under that configuration. I have uninstalled and re-installed the controller for IDE 2 and the system still will NOT recognize anything connected to the IDE 2. The only other thing I can think of is to reinstall the BIOS. Anybody have any other suggestions on how to deal with a non-functioning IDE 2?

I installed Snow Leopard and then tried to update Safari. The install utility does not recognize I installed 10.6. The error message: "Safari can't be installed on this disk. This update requires Mac OS 10.5.8 or newer".

You need to install Safari from the SL disk.
Insert the Snow Leopard install disk. Open the Optional Installs folder, then open Optional Installs.mpkg
An Installer will start... click Continue. When you get to the Installation Type in the window on the right you will see: Applications. Click the Disclosure triangle so it faces down. Select the apps you want to install and click Continue.
After any installations, repair disk permissions.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
Safari runs in 32-bit mode.

App Store does not recognize my id, but works

I have my MacBook Pro 15 (2013), iPad, iPad mini, and an iPhone 4. For some reason I could not menage to sinc iPhone reminders with MacBook. Just downloaded tweeter on my iPhone and got the message saying that somebody used my id from unauthorised device. The funny thing is my phone has same credit card information that other devices, and shows that I am signed in with the same id. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Is there another way to close apps other than deleting them from the multitask bar.....I have a small crack in the bottom of my screen and that part of the screen does not recognize the touch. :(

There's generally no reason to be closing them that way at all. The apps you see in the recents bar are just that, apps that you used recently. Most of them are doing absolutely nothing. The only apps that are really doing anything in the background are ones that play music and ones that are using location services. Just leave them be.

Installing iTunes on a computer does not magically install/move media or preferences to the new computer.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

In the end it was the NVIDIA software - excluding PS as application for support by high performance graphic processor to save energy - activated NVIDIA card use for PS & LR all fine now.
