AAM ignoring install preferences..HELP?

I have a Win 7 system with a 30GB solid state C:\ drive and a 1.5 TB D:\drive. I need to have all applications installed to D:\ but setting the preference for installation location in the Adobe Application Manager to D:\Program Files\Adobe does not work. The folders exist, but downloaded apps get installed to my C:\drive (thereby using up all existing space and putting me out of business)!
I have no problem when I install my individually licensed versions of Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 4, but the AAM is not working.
Any thoughts?

It took me 4 tries to get the first application (Photoshop) installed to my D:\ drive even though I was setting the preferences in the AAM correctly. It did not work as expected!
Since the common files that were installed to my C:\ are not trivial in size, I have been limited to installing only one other Creative Cloud app because the amount of available storage on the C:\ drive has now been reduced to less than 2%. This is after mapping both USERS and PROGRAM DATA folders to the D:\ drive.
Of course, the problem with ‘common’ files being installed on the C:\drive instead of the designated drive is not just an Adobe issue.

Cloud app used to take notice and install apps on the D: drive as directed by Preferences. How do I get Cloud to take notice of Preferences?

OS X 10.5.4 ignoring my preferences settings

I posted this question under a different heading, but after thinking about it I think the multiple symptoms are all attributable to OS X ignoring my preferences settings. I'm experiencing the following problems.
First, after working fine for months (since I got the computer), my mouse no longer registers my right clicks. The right mouse button works just like the main mouse button, even though my preference settings are for the right mouse button to be enabled.
Second, after working fine since the beginning, Spaces no longer opens applications in the space they are assigned. E.g., I have safari and mail assigned to space 2, and word and excel to space 1. They used to open correctly in their assigned space, but now they all open in whichever space is the active one. Again, the settings in the Spaces pref's pane remain unchanged.
Third, I had set my security preferences to require a password to wake from screensaver. The preferences remain unchanged, but now the computer wakes from the screensaver without requiring a password.
Fourth, I have the program "Text Expander" installed. It works as a preferences pane, but now no longer functions even though all settings in the preferences pane for the program remain unchanged.
All of this started last week. Logging out and back in does not correct the problem. I tried rebooting on Friday, which did solve all of these problems. After coming back to work after the weekend, the problems are back, and rebooting no longer solves them. I also tried trashing my finder preferences, but this did not seem to help.
Any advice appreciated.

Thank you for the reply and the advice. I downloaded MainMenu and ran the various scripts, including repair permissions, and then rebooted. This didn't fix the problem. I then added a new account to see if the problem was restricted to my own account or was system wide. The new account worked properly, and then after switching back, my main account also worked...
Until this morning, when it was not working again. I rebooted again, and currently the Mac is responding to the System Preferences settings. (We'll see how long this lasts, though.)
A couple of additional things I noticed while the Mac was not responding to system preferences:
Fast user switching, although enabled, did not work and the account name did not appear in the menu bar;
Items that I had dragged off of the dock reappear after logging on again.

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

When I try to install download helper I am told to restart firefox. I do, and go back to the same "restart firefox" message.

I have tried to install "download helper" as a Firefox add-on. I hit the install button, but then get a box telling me to restart firefox. I do, but end up at the same page with the same "restart firefox" message everytime I try to install "download helper."

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is a compatibility update available.

You have to sign out completely in System Preference>iCloud (click 'Sign out') on a Mac, or Settings>iCloud on an iOS device (click 'Delete account' - this will not delete the account from the server). Then sign in with the new password.
Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac or device when you sign out but will reappear when you sign back in.

I am sorry to hear nothing has worked yet. I have looked up some additional information and possible solutions. Follow the steps in this document to perform a level-three uninstall, register the Windows Installer Service, and then reinstall the HP software. An uninstall and reinstall of the software deletes and overwrites any of the files that might cause the error and resets the Windows Installer. HP recommends that you download the latest software from the HP Web site to remove any files that might be causing this error.

Note: The title of this document is not specific to the issue you are experiencing or the operating system you have, but the 3 steps and instructions are what I suggest we do to resolve the issue you are experiencing.

ok turn it off manually and turn it back on while holding the apple logo bottor or the function botton this will give you an option to choose if you want to startup with osx ow windows. let me know if this works

What country did you buy the phone in?
What iOS version does it have?
As has been said, Facetime is banned in some coutnries and so is not available on iPhones and cannot be insatlled.
Also, before iOS7, the iPhone had no Facetime icon, it was built into the Contacts App.

Camera raw won't open my raw files from bridge. Mac user, camera, Nikon D800, latest camera raw update is installed. Help!!

I don't get a photo preview in bridge of my raw files, just the NEF file thing. Usually the problem with a newer Nikon camera is that the NEF files have been transferred or viewed with obsolete Nikon software, like Nikon Transfer for View NX, and those change something in the header of the raw file that makes it unrecognizable to Adobe products.
For new images, the solution is to either stop using Nikon products to transfer and view your files or update your Nikon products to be as new as your camera.

if your phone has ever been replaced by Apple (within or outside of warranty), have Apple check their records to which carrier your iPhone (its IMEI number) is currently locked to.
If it is locked to any other than the carrier you have your SIM-card from, ask the folks at Apple to have your phone's lock adjusted to your carrier. Once that is done, there is a good chance that your phone will work again.

Somehow I managed to delete my System Preferences shortly after upgrading, and was able to use the 10.4 one for a while until I applied the patch. Luckily, I already had Pacifist, and with your directions I was able to get close enough so that I could find the Applications folder within the ContentsofEssentialsSystemSoftwareGroup > ContentsofEssentials.pkg > Applications > SystemPreferences.app.
For that, I owe you the deepest gratitude and a gigantic THANK YOU. My System Preferences is now fully reinstalled and working wonderfully.
Pacifist might actually be worth purchasing.
