  • Flash builder 4.6 : aapt tool failed - AndroidManifest.xml:33: error: Error parsing XML: not well-fo

This is happening with a "fresh" installation of flash builder 4.6 and it's driving me crazy:  During "export release build" I get the error: "Error occurred while packaging the application: aapt tool failed: c:\users\alfonso\AppData\local\Temp[...]\AndroidManifest.xml:33: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formet (invalid token)  This happened while importing a project build into another computer.  If I create a BLANK air mobile project and I copy the application manifest on the old application EV ERYTHING WORKS FINE. As soon as I touch a single line of code in the application manifest I get the error. And also I get the error even if I UNDO the changes into the -app.xml  Any help would be really appreciated  Thanks  Alfonso Florio

Having same issue here. In my case I'm just trying to place a local video file; hear audio, t see no video running it within Flash Builder and the ADL simulator on my Mac. It's very frustrating that everything Abobe has posted on this is targeted toward the Flash player runnung inside a damn browser... don't they realize we need a IOS solution for the 1000s of iPhones and iPads out there? Very frustrated with this.

  • Known issue: Diagnostic tools - profiling tools fail to launch (Windows 10 Technical Preview SDK and tools, March 2015 release)

The following issues exist when you run the diagnostic tools without the debugger for Windows universal app projects (Debug >
    Start Diagnostic Tools without Debugging):
When the startup project is a C++ universal app set to deploy to a physical Windows Phone device, the profiling tools fail to launch.

    Workaround:
Using the Start debugging drop-down menu, change the target to Local Machine, Simulator, or Emulator.

  • Open-vm-tools fail to start

    Hi,
I installed open-vm-tools in my Arch x64 installation in VMWare Fusion, added it to rc.conf, but it resists to start properly and gives me a [FAIL] instead
    [industrie13@arch64 ~]$ sudo /etc/rc.d/open-vm-tools start
:: Starting Open Virtual Machine Tools [FAIL]
    [industrie13@arch64 ~]$ sudo /etc/rc.d/open-vm-tools restart
:: Stopping Open Virtual Machine Tools [BUSY]
ERROR: Module vmhgfs is in use
    [FAIL]
:: Starting Open Virtual Machine Tools [FAIL]
    Any hints? A re-install didn't help.

This happens to me to sicne I first installed Arch (kernel 2.6.34-1). I gave up on it since I seem to have shared folders regardless.
Meanhwile, In X the new open-vm-tools version seems to have problems dealing with mouse integration. It works intermittently, when before it used to work great. But clipboard sharing works great.

  • Acrobat X selection tool fails to detect paragraphs of text...

Acrobat X selection tool fails to detect paragraphs of text.  Manually selected paragraphs have broken sentences with line breaks.  This problem is also noticed when you attempt to triple click a paragraph and only one line of text is selected instead of a paragraph.  Can this be fixed?

can't it tell by the visual formatting of indents, text proximity/clusters, etc?  if humans can tell, why can't acrobat be trained to tell?

Is there a way to debug this error? At a bare minimum, it would be great to get an error message on why it could not start.
    Thanks

I ran Windows Azure Storage Emulator -v3.1 to launch the command line tool. I wanted to see if I could get some debug information, but that failed with the following exception.

I am having issues installing VMWare tools on a Windows 8.1 guest. I recently upgraded from ESXi 5.5 to 6 and used the automated upgrade. Can anyone shed some light on this? I think it has something to do with cscript.exe, when I attempt to run it from a command prompt I get an error that the program or feature cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit version of windows. cscript located in syswow64 works, is there any way I can force it to use that?
    Thanks!

OK, got a bit further... forced it to use the cscript.exe executable that actually works but now receiving this error:

I found problems on the Oracle 8i Installation, on my Windows XP Desktop (SP1). I've selected the Minimal Installation, and all goes on. When they reach the Configuration Tools Section of Setup...
    It found the following fails:
    - Net8 Configuration Assistant, fail:
    Class not found: Files\Oracle\Ora81\network\jlib
    - Oracle Database Configuration Assistant, fail:
There is no available output for this tool.
Apparently, it doesn't create the Starter Database (my main need). I'm newbie in Oracle Database world (I'm MS-SQL Server DBA), so, if anyone can help me, I'll be glad...
    Thanks,

Please turn on the debug trace in tip.properties
Since we want to see why B2B did not start, we want to have as much trace as possible. Please set the following (in tip.properties)
    b2b.oracle.tip.DiagnosticLevel = DEBUG
    oracle.tip.LogType = text
If there is an exception in also should be logged in /home/oracle/MTProd/opmn/logs/B2B~B2BServer~MTProd.helenab2b.helenachemical.com~1
Please gather as much trace information as possible when you start the B2B Server manually.
If opmn is not started, use the 'opmnctl start' command in $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin
Then use the following command to start B2B:
    opmnctl startproc process-type=B2BServer

We tried to stop and restart the application via NWA (in Start & Stop: Java EE Applications) but it doesn´t start.
All referenced Applications, Interfaces, Libraries and Services are started.
Looking up on SDN didn't help us.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hi Steffen,
We didn't find a good solution, we just undeployed and redeployed all our DCs and it worked but this is not a serious solution.
We posted several CAF issues and got no replies, it seems that not much people is using CAF or not people knows anything about this technology. As a result of this we are thinking about using another mid-layer framework for persistance and intermediate business logic.
    Regards,
    Daniel.

  • CC Cleaner Tool Failed! Corrupt Apps Stuck On My System

I upgraded from Snow Leopard 10.6 to Mavericks 10.9.
My CS4 and CS6 apps stopped working.  Maybe I need to update?  None of the Adobe Application Managers worked anymore.  Followed Adobe's website and downloaded Creative Cloud and tried to update again, still no luck.  Tried to run the Adobe uninstaller for each app, most did not work, but no problem, there is the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.  Ran that but it failed to see all the Adobe software still on my system and did not remove much.  Now I have most of Creative Suite 4 and 6 still on my computer but can't run or remove any of them.
How can I get these off so I can reinstall CS6 cleanly and have it work properly?
There are lots of similar questions on these forums, but many remain unanswered...
Are other people still having issues like this?
    Thanks in advance

To uninstall, you can try to uninstall each of the product by checking the preference box in front of the uninstaller (present in the application).
OS X Mavericks: Install, update, and uninstall apps
You can try manual clean up:
    Mac
    ~ Files / Folders ~
    /Applications/Adobe*
/Applications/.AdobePatchFiles (hidden, use Go > Go to Folder command)
    /Applications/Utilities/Adobe*
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe*
    /Library/Application Support/FLEXnet Publisher/
    /Library/Preferences/com.adobe*
    /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/
    /Users/[user]/Library/Application Support/Adobe*
    /Users/[user]/Library/Caches/Adobe*
    /Users/[user]/Library/Caches/com.adobe*
    /Users/[user]/Library/Preferences/Adobe*
    /Users/[user]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe*
    Hope this helps you.

  • Far tool fails to compile

This worked a couple weeks ago on my linux machine - suddenly it's not.
In my directory I have a server-side asc file (myapp.asc). If I type:
    /opt/adobe/fms/tools/far -compile myapp.asc
I get a dump that looks like:

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. I just need it to compile. Thanks.

Oh, nevermind... turns out there was a syntax error in myapp.asc. Yeah. That's some tasty shoe-leather.

  • STMS check transport tool fails on Discovery server,

I run the TMS check transport tool option and I get an error that says
failed to read table SVERS, I also tried to run it from the command line
tp connect ERP and that fails as well. I need to install some transports.
How can I fix this, the transport directory is right, D:\usr\sap\trans.
    Thanks
    Update:
tp works ok, the only thing that doesn't is the TMS check transport tool. Same error message,
    'failed to read table SVERS'
I don't quite understand why I am having this problem, the server came installed from the factory.
UPDATE: Is the Discovery Server based on MCOD or not? If it is then MSSQL_SCHEMA=erp is ok, if it is not shouldn't it be set to dbo? I read one of the notes that indicated so.

I applied note 610640 and it fixed the problem. Just be aware, the procedure ran for more than 6 hrs until I cancel it, although I think it only needs to run for a few minutes (10-15???).
