ABAP Certification - C_TAW12_71 not available
Hi,
I have 5+ years of experience in ABAP development and would like to take up the certification.
While filling the data in the link (http://www.sapindiacertification.com), I don't see the certification C_TAW12_71.
I have attached the screen shot for the same. Our system has EHP-3.
Also, there is a new certification - C_TAW_731 - ABAP with NetWeaver 7.31. Am I eligible to write the exam. Kindly help me on this.

Can not start instance SAP - ABAP Database is not available via R3trans

My OS : Linux RHEL 4U7 32bit
Oracle 10G R2 32bit 10.2.0.2
when system running but power off suddenly
and when power on ->
i am having problem as below when i start instance SAP (Databse Oracle Started)
Step 1 : I login user (ora<sid>) of Oracel to start up database
Database startup -> OK
then i tried to shutdown database -> OK too
and start up again -> OK
Query -> OK
I think Database do not problem
Step 2: start listener -> OK
Step 3: i login user (<sid>adm) and startup instance SAP (command : startsap r3) with error:

Our managed system kernel is 720 P 401 as per-requisites for the sld registration.
Have tried few things here and there but no luck.
Please suggest is any has any suggestion or solution.

ABAP Refactoring Assistant not available
Dear all,
We could not able to find the ABAP Refactoring Assistant in the Main Menu/Context menu in our ABAP editor (SE80/SE38).
We are having the same in SE24 (Class builder). We are in SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 7 SP02, Kernel Release 740.
Can anyone help me out with fixing the issue/Are we missing any settings in the system. Thank you.

My installation stopped during Phase23 of 25 Start J2EE instance. Below is the error i've got... From there i can no longer logon.

i have this problem while start the data base.
but sap is going to up. i am able to logon also.
but why i am getting this mgs.
this problem is coming after update the kernel 640 path 21 to 221 .

This is a common problem .Actually ur database pwd is not same mentioned in the configtool----
secure store.
Change the database password and update the same in the secure store of configtool.

Reading from ABAP memory, not available in call stack
Hi,
I need to read a table from ABAP memory. It is not available from the call stack, so I cant use the standard assign approach. The internal table is listed under System areas -> Area ITABS-HEADS with the name \FUNCTION-POOL=MLSP\DATA=IY_ESLL[]
Is it even possible to read this table? Seems as though I have to access function-pool MLSP to find it.

The main program of this function pool is SAPLMLSP. If you in any of theses includes can add a small form that returns the content of internal table ( IY_ESLL[] ) that should solve your problem.
In the program that need the data, write something like :
PERFORM Z_GET_MLSP_DATA(SAPLMLSP) using GT_ESLL.
This form can be created within any sub-include within the SAPLMLSP.
However, with a quick look at SAPLMLSP does not reveal any user modifiable includes, but I didn't check very carefully.
If you are on ECC 6.0, there are plenty of enhancement spots, which could be used for this purpose. -

Abap certification 4.6B to 4.6C Relevant documents requested

I prepared ABAP 4.6B (2000) certification material for my ABAP Certification. After I find that 4.6B exam is not available and they said only 4.6C (2003) available. Please can any one list the exact differences in between these two exams (I found that the difference is ABAP Objects - BC 401). Please confirm this and let me know if we have any other differences. Please provide the BC-401 document ( Mail it to [email protected]). I am struck at the moment.

There should not be a big difference in the exams between 4.6B and 4.6C.
Even at the Netweaver exam (6.40) which I passed 10 month ago a big portion of the questions were dealing with "basic" stuff. I you have not taken any exams yet I like to mention that you do not have to write down any answers but it is a multiple-choice test:
- either a single answer is correct (then you will see radio-buttons at each possible answer) or
- serveral answers are correct (checkboxes)
Sample question: "Which modifications are possible with sorted internal tables?" => Of course you cannot append to such a table but must insert your entries.
So, if you have a firm stand on BC430 (ABAP Dictionary), have developed quite a lot (-> BC400 basics of ABAP) and have some general understanding of ABAP-OO (BC401) you will be on the safe side. Also, have a general knowledge of the SAP Technology (guess corresponding to BC050) like the client-server technology.
Official documents like the BC401 documents cannot be shared because SAP would not allow this. In any case, you will find plenty of information in the SAP online help.
Finally, I highly recommend the weblog "ABAP 46C to 640 Delta Training" (/people/thomas.jung3/blog/2005/05/15/abap-46c-to-640-delta-training) by Thomas Jung, mainly as appetizer for you when you make the switch from 4.6x to 6.40.

Service Desk with IC WebClient: Category Modeler not available

We are currently implementing a Service Desk Application based on SAP Solution Manager. Therefore we are using the article "Implement an ITIL Employee Service Desk with IC WebClient" of "www.CRMExpertOnline".
One of the steps, which are described in the article describes how to Categorize incidents with the Category Modeler. It says that the Category Modeler is available trough BSP Application CRMM_ERM_CAT.
Unfortunately this SAP-Application is not available on our system.

The question is that CRMM_ERM_CAT is an application, also a transaction but this is not the name of the associated BSP I think, this belongs to component CRM-PCF more than Solution Manager.

Appended field is not available in BI
Hi Gurus,
I have appended a field in the datasource, removed a hidden tick so that it will be available in BI system but after replication of datasource I still could not get this field in transfer structure. When I was checking I found that in display datasource window under "Fields" tab for that particular field "Transfer" column is uncheck, due to which the field is not available.
Now my concern is that how should I make this available in BI.

I am on BI 3.5 system.
and I didn't mean that my datasource is not in ROOSFIELD table, it is there but what you are saying is not applicable in my case. in ROOSFIELD, for the appended field the OLPTSrc version is "A" and Field Attribute is "P" which is what the ABAP program stated above will do and I was very well aware of the program.
My, ROOSFIELD output is,
2LIS_XX_XXX A ZZXXXX P
This field was not hidden earlier as well, i could get this field for selection in RSA3 and even in infopackage also.
But, the only concern is what I posted in my 1st question.
How will I get that checkbox ticked?
